  1. My original comment was not really a criticism of him (although some on here wet their pants) Every single one of us would do exactly the same in his position. I definitely would. The point is that we shouldn't be here and secondly of course, naturally, money is the deciding factor. Subconsciously if not with pure common sense that would 100% be the difference between playing and not for him. If he was playing Senior Footy at Tooradin, same age and same body, do you think he would saddle up again next year and put his body through the sort of rehab and preseason he is about to start? Of course not. Thats just life. This is on Tim Lamb.
  2. I dont think thats the point though. The issue raised is the fact that we are in the position in the first place.
  3. I have 2 eyes! You have one obviously. Money, money and money. That's why he is telling himself he is not cooked.
  4. This is what a clunky, injured, top heavy mess looks like. Having Brown on the list next year is a huge liability. Will always respect and love the guy for 21 but reality is he is the most overcooked player I can remember ever going into an AFL season for any club. And it absolutely denies an 18 y.o an opportunity. Maybe not Kynan Brown but definitely some 18 year old.
  5. His Dad was ND Pick 66 so there are similarities. Make no mistake his Dad was an absolutely hard at it player who seems to be underrated on here. If he is at that level he is a draft must. Fourth Best and Fairest 2002 Most Consistent Player 2002 Second Best and Fairest 2004 Most Consistent Player 2004
  6. He had some physical attributes but opposition coaches worked out quickly that he had an ordinary footy IQ, made many incorrect decisions and was a fumbler under pressure. If it was not for his brother he would not have played 50 games. 3/10 This is a footy forum not an obituary piece. Edit: Wait, what ..... Freo. lol although I honestly hope he does well and makes a go of it.
  7. I hope we don't have to sit through another Dylan Grimes experience. Could have and should have.
  8. He plays as a Power Forward. JVR kicked 32 goals from 9 games and SVR is not at that level.
  9. For the learned watchers, is Sam van Rooyen any chance of being drafted by us? https://wafl.com.au/player/samuel-van-rooyen
  10. Bloody hell he moves well.
  11. I always thought they had a good list. The backline could crumble at any time and there are some plodgers. The recruitment of Harmes is a bit weird as is the 3 year contract but we will take it.
  12. Hopefully Howes does a McVee and gets super ripped and fit and therefore taking a wing. He has talent. He doesnt have time.
  13. Some ordinary teams in there. Thanks to the OP , great resource
  14. We should make Brown the goal kicking coach and get him off the boos like Luke Shuey did at WC.
  15. Sorry mate next time Ill ask permission in my choice of vocab. In all honesty to me: Point crunching is a Dodoro thing and actually making the list better is a Jason Taylor thing. As I said they mean nothing to us. It is real pro sport not EA Games is that better?
  16. Check our Top 10 B and F from ten years ago. Worse than West Coast I would think. Nathan Jones Colin Garland Dean Terlich Matt Jones Colin Sylvia Lynden Dunn James Frawley Jack Trengove Jeremy Howe Tom McDonald
  17. I wouldn't recognise half of those players even if they did a dump on my front lawn. *That could be more of a reflection on me
  18. I reckon Andy M-W will be next years McVee or 21's Petty
  19. Jefferson is a concern but is only a kid and has probably lost all confidence and possibly motivation. A huge pre season can change things but sometimes the mould is cast early eg Morton and about 5 other high picks that never eventuated.
  20. To think that a video posted online for supporters has any correlation to how our boys play is pure madness if not disrespectful. Watching us put the hammer down against Sydney last week with nothing on the line fueling endeavour other than professionalism was akin to watching Hawthorn smashing sides for fun in the 80s versions of Escort Cup. I was always jealous of that.
  21. Surely not literally?

  23. In 50 years Clayton has been the best Viney has been the toughest Robbie the most courageous and skilfull Petracca the most powerful But no one has come near Max for having the biggest impact on the club. To play and lead as he has done is the single greatest football story in the clubs history. A full culture change in an 18 team comp culminating in a 57 year drought breaking flag and then to maintain the standard is by far the biggest mountain we have climbed. Thanks Max!
  24. @ monoccular You may have premature facepalmitis syndrome? PFS (in jest)
