I cant believe he is already 27. We are much much better off without him for all reasons already stated. Add on the constant foot, soft tissue injuries and the "mental health breaks". Having one of your highest paid players doing all that is constantly draining. And at the end of the day he chose to leave and was talking to Lyon and Fyfe a long long way out. Yep he was great. Reality is he probably would have been worked out by oppo coaches with flooding etc. And his fitness must be part of the whole player package, similar to skills, decision making, courage, selfishness etc etc. Glenn Lovett, Stinga, Schwarz , they were all fantastic and could have been anything. But injuries. Mid 90s had more than most though. Add Prymke, Sean Charles, Lyon often, to the 3 above and its pretty sad. But now that is history and Hawthorn can have years like that rammed down their throat for the next 50. The baton has been changed hands.

Awesome, Great I love the guy. After the first 5 minutes in his first game he was our best midfielder After first full match he was the best pure midfielder I had seen at the club in 45 years. After his second season he was the best player at the club. After his first Premiership he is a triple B and F winner @ 24. And still he is under rated. The guy is an absolute legend and there is heaps more to come.
