The 3 best & worst off-field things associated with football
The three best and worst things associated with football? My ten cents worth: The Good 1. Supporters of both teams mingle before and after games. In nearly six decades I reckon I could count on one hand the number of violent incidents I've seen. I love that there is no segregation and overseas visitors are stunned by that. It is something we as a code should be really proud of. 2. The immediate minutes after a Dees win at the MCG. 3. The pre match on Anzac Eve. The Bad 1. Gambling ads when watching games on TV. 2. Fan activation. See @titan_uranus above. Linked to that is the inability to tell us when a substitution has been activated. Can't do that but have got time to promote SEN talking heads telling us what we've just seen. 3. The gradual decline of secondary competitions.

One Last Quiz Before The Real Stuff Begins
Lampers has indeed killed the quiz and is thus disqualified. Demonstone is the winner. Lampers also managed to kill part B which was going to ask which two went from a low number to a high number. Mods, I expect a heavy suspension (unless it turns out Lampers' last name is Cotchin in which case a mild rebuke is fine).

One Last Quiz Before The Real Stuff Begins
This one will be a bit easier than the last. What links this team? B: Neville Jetta Steven Smith Earl Spalding HB: Brett Lovett Gary Hardeman Jack Grimes C: Stephen Tingay Glenn Lovett Paul Hopgood HF: Adem Yze David Schwarz Russell Robertson F: Max Gawn David Neitz Sean Charles Foll: Jim Stynes Gerard Healy James McDonald INT: Peter Moore Liam Jurrah Graeme Yeats James Harmes

Yet Another Quiz
Congratulations to @Mazer Rackham who has taken out third place behind @mo64 and @tilly18. Honorable mention to @WalkingCivilWar. B: Warren Ayres Michael "Squizzy" Taylor John Shaw HB: Peter Young Travis Dean Matt Short C: Slug Jordon Graham Matthews Michael Hill HF: Garry Watts Geoff Richardson Darren Berry F: Grant Gardiner Peter Roach Peter Bedford Foll: Jon Moss John Ellis Ian Harvey INT: John Anderson Michael Quinn Laurie Harper Geoff Parker All represented Victoria in cricket. All made at least one century for Victoria. None played Test cricket.

Yet Another Quiz
Still a few in contention. Perhaps this will help. The cricketer is Jonathon Moss, not Jeff Moss. Jeff Moss is over qualified. If I were as talented a wordsmith as @Demonstone I would have manufactured a clue along the lines of "a Rolling Stone gathers no Moss" but I'm not so I won't.

Yet Another Quiz
Those still playing the quiz are now all on the same page so I can reveal that all surnames have represented Victoria in cricket. The clues to this link were Tony Jewell as a relatively easy choice as coach (his son Nick played cricket for the Vics) and the selection changes which meant the 22 footballers all played for a Victorian team at some point in their careers. Still two other facts to link the names.
-
Yet Another Quiz
In a bid to move this along a bit the selectors have swung the axe. IN: Harry Taylor, George Young, Jeff Berry and Leigh Matthews. OUT: Sam Taylor, Hayden Young, Jarrod Berry and Ben Matthews. That now gives the 22 footballers some common territory.

Yet Another Quiz
I can elaborate on the previous clue. Tony Jewell was a relatively easy choice as coach. Jamie Elliott is another who is over qualified. Two posters are sitting on two out of three but do have all three between them (no clue there, just a teaser for the two chasing second place). Answer to be revealed this afternoon as I'll be offline for a few hours.
