2020 Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy
Viney and May spoke best. You could see the pain in May's eyes when he talked about missing finals, you could feel it. So glad he is at the club.

2020 Keith "Bluey" Truscott Trophy
Nice to hear that Jackson feels that the players at the club are like brothers (even though Rivers should have won that one)

Game Changes in 2021
You could have the same umpire hurrying the player up that we currently have at 55M+ out. The more time the defence have to set up the harder it is to find a short pass

Game Changes in 2021
There would be some sort of custom device that someone could tap to start and stop time (I'm sure there is something the NBA or NFL use) I like your ruckmen idea too

Game Changes in 2021
I'd be happy with 16 minute quarters if they called time off when you mark the ball. Then forwards could take a bit more time aiming for set shots (might increase scoring) and teams couldn't wind down the clock with boring backwards kicks.

What is the solution to this problem?
Just in regards to the team not creating stoppages, once Clarko complained about holding the ball and the umpiring changed, stoppages dropped in general league wide because of the bull-[censored] interpretation change

Angus Brayshaw's Foot
What did Trengove in was the surgery being botched and the screw cracking the bone in his foot again, which was discovered when he was exploring Richmond as an option. I think if that surgery had gone the right way, he would have had a chance of reaching his potential.

TEAMS: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Smith played a really good game last week on Himmelberg who got dropped this week after his performance, other than that I think he is a liability.. I just worry whenever he is near it or has to dispose of it

Game plans, tactics and all that jazz
The game needs to get more goals into it because it's how the AFL will get more revenue. American sports are slow and have time outs so they can place ads everywhere (ie 48 minutes of basketball takes 3 hours) The more ads they can put on during the game The more the broadcaster makes The more the tv stations pay for the rights The more money in the system that can trickle down to the clubs. The only time the AFL goes to advertising breaks is when a goal is scored. Improving scoring is a must, not only for the spectacle but for financial security of the game. Removing the 6-6-6 rule and adding the 1 point for 100 points in a game will help get the free flowing football we saw in 2018 back. It means coaches can be more creative. Then theres also the Kevin Bartlett suggestion of capping rotations... The AFL was at its best when it was possible for a forward to kick 100 goals in a season, and it's been a long time since that happened in a regular home and away season.

I am a big Lockheart fan so I back that, either is good.

TEAMS: Rd 18 vs Essendon
Would have liked Smith out instead of Jetta, I think we need 1 more smaller defender in this side

Nathan Jones in 2021?
I love Jones as a bloke, captain and player. I don't doubt that he always tried his best for the club when on the field. I'm just wondering why people are more focused on helping a player that has played in the most losses for the Demons in its entire history (5th most in AFL) get to 300 games rather than talking about putting the best 22 on the field, winning games and getting a flag? I can't help but think this is kind of celebrating a losing culture?
