risky football in windy weather, hopefully we adjust and then get on top Plenty of time to go

Feel so bad for Jones, on the bright side I'm glad Hannan's leg speed is in

oh 100% the AFL is a business so money will be the main factor in a decision like this. TV revenue is huge. A lot of changes will happen with more profit, one being the players will want their share too so salary caps will increase again. More profit can also mean more available investment into building the AFLW product.

It's gonna be at the Gabba, QLD government saved the season and will be rewarded.

I actually prefer this season with only playing everyone once, Now that we are getting towards the end the race for the 8 it more exciting. hard to do with home and away fixture and be fair, some teams would do better one year with more home games than the next etc. So playing everyone twice would be ideal. Imagine how excruciating it would be if we had a 34 game season in the Neeld era and trying to get through that.

Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
FritschyBusiness replied to Bizzell Blitz's topic in Melbourne Demons
Rushing him onto the field did more damage for sure, Freo were desperate at the time. He is very much suited at CHF, I Like Weed at FF yet it seems Tmac is playing deeper than him generally. Hard to tell just from TV what exactly is happening with our gameplan. Hogan is a huge talent that can play many positions when mentally healthy -
Jesse Hogan on the way out at Freo?
FritschyBusiness replied to Bizzell Blitz's topic in Melbourne Demons
He had a really bad run in 2017 with his fathers death and getting cancer himself, He then had a horrible foot injury in 2018 and went home to be with family, choosing to be around his family which from the whispers I heard from friends in with the club was that he was really torn about leaving. He loved playing for the Dees and with that current squad. When we traded him at the end of 2018 when he had a horrible foot injury (I think it was similar to Vandenbergs) we got SO MUCH for him. I don't think the environment back in WA has actually been ideal for him to succeed. It seems like fitness staff never got ontop of his injury, rushed him in and thats why he kept not performing at the level we saw. Imagine Hogan at FF taking the number 1 defender, leaving Weed with number 2 defender and Jackson playing on the wing or half forward to stretch their defence and chopping Max out in the ruck. The players loved playing with him and look, I think we'd be fine without him. However if it comes up, it would be silly for the club not to consider it. -
Both teams at almost full strength, I am so keen for this clash
-
Pruess is playing, Max and Jackson not - EDIT Confirmed now, no change

Richmond are finished, This is the start of them losing their winning culture. -
Tom Lynch Incident (incl. Dimma vs The Ox)

100% happens, I used to umpire junior footy 10 years ago and the kids would say "the players on tv do it", these kids were 12-16 and thought it jumper punches and tummy taps were just apart the game. -
An anomaly of the Rules
FritschyBusiness replied to Jumping Jack Clennett's topic in Melbourne Demons
The Carlton free kick against Freo was 100% there. You can't dump a player after a kick no matter what. They want to stomp out players hitting each other (unless they are named tom lynch) so kids don't do it at junior level. Just wish they would do this stuff from the start of the season rather than changing "interpretations" mid way through the season -

Could I ask you instead? I don't have Dale's number and would like to know what you are referring too -
Who did the HS consider our best 22?

Great Podcast, Very informative as I was 9 at the time and didn't really understand what was going on with the club and the business side of things.

The AFL didnt stick to it, they are soft on their own stands. -
I'm a huge Hannan fan so either would suit me. I like Rivers too, but unsure who he could come in for
-
I do have a concern that Jones will look slow these next two weeks against two very face paced teams. Surely Hunt could play a similar role.
-
Hopefully he is enjoying what should/could/will probably be his last year of afl football.
-
Because umpires miss things all the time, like striking off the ball - they still get reprimanded after the fact when the games reviewed
-
I wish they would time stamp the incidents so you could go and look them up. I remember seeing one tackle in the game that could have been dangerous as I remember wondering if it was going to be a free kick. It wasn't but I cant remember who the tackler was, maybe it was Spargo
