  1. Excellent. Tsatas was an early favourite going back well over a year and I have a feeling that his quality will show out on Thursday (I'm assuming he's fit and selected for the Vic Metro team). My question to you is where would you like to see the MFC placed after trading Luke Jackson, any other trades and draft picks?
  2. But were we a better team for having a galah playing for us even with his 75 goals?
  3. Considering how Casey dominated the season they should have had more players in the Team of the Year.
  4. Thanks guys - enjoyed it and hope you come back over the off season to cover the trades and draft etc.
  5. Will be on show in the NAB League Grand Final on Friday evening.
  6. No - it’s 34.
  7. Take it from me (and with a name like mine I should know something about literature), Ian Munro’s book is a bloody good read and worthy as a Father’s Day gift to any Demon Dad. It’s in the Non Fiction Top 10 of the Avenue Booksellers most popular books. Up there with the best!
  8. Directions to Camberwell Market Please? Coming from Elwood.
  9. Do they publish the match stats anywhere?
  10. 2022 AFLW Draft team review: Melbourne
  11. Adelaide - overcast but no rain.
  12. Yes - I’ve noticed and it sucks in the umpires often.
  13. 6. Clayton Oliver 5. James Jordon 4. Jack Viney 3. Angus Brayshaw 2. Max Gawn 1. Bayley Fritsch
  14. Me also - I've seen different reports that have him at between 193cm and 195cm and most go back to the beginning of last year. At some stage when he gets picked to make his debut, no doubt the club will disclose the latest figures and we'll know more. He definitely looks no shorter than the Weid who is listed at 195cm.
  15. There’s a big game later today at Werribee between a Colgate Young Guns team and the Vic Metro U18s. The Colgate team is made up mainly of overage players eligible for the forthcoming AFL Mid-Season Rookie Draft while the Metro team will not be at full strength because it doesn’t contain some of the Metro boys playing schools footy. Should still be a good game.
  16. 'I didn't hesitate': No.5 pick adds two more years to Suns deal
  17. Langdon’s push was as much of a push as was Hawkins’ the week before. Oh
 erm
  18. Another good display from Finn Emille-Brennan with 22 touches for the Dandenong Stingrays against Bendigo Pioneers at Bendigo. Too early to say whether he makes top 40 in the draft but another Stingray in Mitch Szybkowski surely will. He racked up 33 possessions and was very impressive. Mitch trained at Melbourne in the off season.
  19. Tipping Carlton to beat Richmond.
  20. Former Melbourne NGA and Gold Coast’s top draft pick Mac Andrew was involved in the incident and also injured.
  21. Shane Martin who was deported to NZ in 2016 has passed away at the age of 54. I don’t want to reflect on the individual but it’s another tough episode in a difficult year for Richmond superstar Dustin Martin.
  22. It’s probably more of a raffle in 2021 than it has been since the early days of the draft. There are so many unknowns about and a few scream out to be selected. At the end of the day, it’s the midfield that’s safest.
  23. Pardon me but on what planet did I cite “a national weakness of Sudanese sports people as weak competitors”? WJ questioned Mac Andrew’s tank in a post above and said that the lack of a national championships and combine testing meant that this question wasn’t satisfactorily answered. That’s a point (and I agree with him) but it’s not the one I made that you’re questioning above. Mine is that the rule change is water under the bridge and it’s a waste of time complaining about it 12 months after it was brought in.
  24. How do you expect Melbourne to fight the rule changes twelve months after they’ve been put into place? To do so now that we have an NGA who might be taken early would seem a case of sour grapes and totally unbecoming of a premiership club. I don’t think we should be whinging about it now, apart from which it’s worth remembering that there’s no guarantee that we would have matched a bid for him if he was nominated as early as we’re led to believe some clubs might go to claim him.
