  1. Ironically, the only player on the list with >50% accuracy is playing for the Casey Demons this weekend.
  2. I thought Adam Cerra was Gawn last week and then some clown at the Tribunal came up with a way to exonerate him.
  3. The club suspension is in fact an omission to the Gold Coast Ressies vs Port Melbourne today (which might have happened anyway). Just a game today.
  4. Prefer we were 10 zip rather than 7-3 actually.
  5. I think it’s fair to say we buried North a fortnight ago. Hawthorn’s team today is better - we should win but don’t get carried away if the margin isn’t to your liking.
  6. I’m not sure by what right the AFL had to sanction Brad Green for speaking the truth but if there’s been a financial sanction, we should all kick in whatever’s necessary to ensure he’s not out of pocket. I think everyone at the club should be buoyed by the support JvR received from the club, the players including many former players, the supporters and most of the football world. I reckon this is the sort of experience that will help JvR mature and grow as a player before our very eyes.
  7. Sliding doors. Voss coach of Carlton. McRae coach of Collingwood. What might have been if it was the other way around.
  8. Here’s the 2021 NAB AFL National Draft Top 20 1. Jason Horne-Francis (North Melbourne) 2. Sam Darcy (Western Bulldogs) 3. Finn Callaghan (Greater Western Sydney) 4. Nick Daicos (Collingwood) 5. 9. I read somewhere that Fyfe’s salary is $1.1 million. That might put off some potential suitors.

  11. Isn’t Uncle Nev employed by Collingwood these days?
  12. The crowd at the Gabba tonight and a few of the Lions players will no doubt let Crisp know what they think of unsociable behaviour towards women.
  13. After that debut, what chance that he picks up a Rising Star nomination?
  14. Me too but let’s not allow the facts get in the way of a good story.
  15. Norwood’s SANFL side is playing against Woodville-West Torrens in a Friday night game and getting flogged late in the third quarter by 10 goals. They’ve only scored a single goal!
  16. Duursma is the nephew of Jamie Duursma , son of Dean Duursma who played Under19s and Reserves with Melbourne and a brother of Xavier and Yasmin (Port Adelaide AFL and AFLW respectively).
  17. The fact that Duursma's training as part of the AFL Academy experience doesn't mean we have any ties to him. It's an allocation made on a number of issues including proximity for training purposes. Since we do train at Casey Fields and he's from Gippsland, it's logical that he trains with us - plus the family connection.
  18. Yeah, Mac let the club down but it’s a club that’s languished from the beginning with a poor culture. Perhaps the club’s let the kid down as well.
