Half forward flank replied to Deemented Are Go!'s topic in Melbourne Demons
At a guess i would say any Essendon player who got their hands on the snot riddled football handled by Mckenna at training. Basis hygiene 101. -

Surely they go to incubation. That is what would happen to any other employee. -

AFL TO PROBE CAUSE OF McKENNA VIRUS. Who the hell do the AFL think they are. It is the Health Dept job to track the source of the McKennas virus and who the subsquent people at risk are likely to be. Flop cut should have put a top person in charge of all non footy things to do with this pandemic and concentrated on football. Start with giving the Demons the four points. And MFC, tell flop cut to go jump. We prepared and were ready for this game. No interest in playing them at a later cramped schedule date. -

Yes. Imagine if your local Barista did that and carried on with their job. Remembering these are professional footballers and coaches. -

Seems you havent seen the footage of him snotting all over his hands at training. He does not fo off to clean has hands, just gets his hands on the ball to pass on to teamates. So no hygiene training or enforcement at Windy Hill -

Well said. Time for MFC to stand up and demand the four points. The time for being nice losers has well and truly past. -

Shame Robbo and all the other weak AFL journos are too scared to do some investgative journalism on this. -

For the past 150 years if a team cannot put a side on the paddock it is a forfeit and the other side gets the points. Fancy footwork from flop cut has put paid to that precipent. -

Goodwin on Lever today But, also, the fact that we actually love Jake. We want him at our footy club. We would probably pay him whatever we want to pay him. Thats what the great John Kennedy said and he set the Hawks up for 60 years of success. Everything else is just entertainment and if thats all some here want thats fine with me too.
-
Two former and one delisted. Well that settles it then.. However it is not the players who are the only interested party here. Remember a favourite teacher who everyone loved. Did not make them a great teacher. Jury is still out on Goody. Its all about wins and losses.
-
Let Brayshaw and Viney fight it out for the one position. Tired of names and reputation.
-
HB? He is not a pencil
-
Thanks for the report RL. Lets hope Justin Plapp is paid the full award rate for that innovative traing session. First rate stuff.

I thought he should have been given a block of games when selected but seeing his body shape now er on the side of caution. That said I would have sat him down, not worried too much about a huge review. Ask him how he enjoyed it and how he thought he went. Pat him on the back and let him know he can mix it at this level. Certainly not talking about dropping him and telling him he did not perform. That said I will be happy for him if selected again. But not as a ruckman. Maybe a wing?? get to the open spaces.
-
TMac can no longer claim to be our main forward. He can no longer claim past performances gives him the edge We have four in the starters blocks. TMac, Weid, Brown, Jackson. Select any two without fear or favour. Jackson is going to be a star if developed properly. Let him build his body and knowlege for a time. I am leaning toward Brown and Weid for this week.
-
I believe Brown was stiff to miss based on the following. His first game was below average and he made some fumbling errors. If he had taken those opportunities he would have been ok ish. Assuming the Club did not recruit a fumbling player I think he could have been given a pass for his first or second game with a new Club under Covid conditions. I think we may have a future star with Jackson but boy he was no more pysically developed than J Watts at debut. Could have been seriously hurt in the ruck. Poor development

I feel Stringer is far too clever and experienced for Stringer. Hibberd may get a look in. Jetta to Tippa but better have a plan b as Jetta sadly may be slowing.
-
Then it is worse than I thought.
-
My worry with May is he played outstanding footy for GC when he played how he wanted, roaming across the bacline in a sub standard team full of kids. Does he have the disciple and mindset to be a top team first defender.
-
My comment was mostly in jest. But perhaps consider if this forum had run as long as some here have supported the Dees through wet and cold winters, many like myself, in my case 56 then those you say are complainers would have been correct in saying every coach was a failure except Northey and Neil and even those two ultimately failed. They would be correct in saying Board after Board was inept, facilities were second rate and the playing list was substandard. However what it does not mean is that those people who have pointed out the obvious are poor supporters. I and I am sure many others here have been at bleak games until the end, always trying to find a positive with this player or that. Now its 2020 we are a bottom side, with a coach still finding his way, a club pathetically searching for a full sized training ground and a list from which we do not even have a settled spine after a six year coaching transition period.

Attempts at humour, not your thing?

Jake Lever.. Can someone explain??
