  1. Thats why I said consider? Brayshaw is one head knock from being finished and unlikely to play for another 5-6 years the way he plays.
  2. Oh well, that settles that. Your brother, the Kangas fan says he is slowing. Interesting, has he seen him live this year. Maybe we would, that can happen, remeber Brayshaw is one head know from being finished.
  3. Note, I said consider. Beyond that identicial disposals over career as well as player rating. One is a mid we cant fit into a midfield lacking variety and another is outside creativity and run. How stupid of me to consider a trade like that.
  4. It is a thought. Hannan has either been pidgeon holed are a flukey/ flash in and out sort of forward or he is unwilling to learn to play or suggest he can new positions. He is not going to make it playing the way he does. it relies too much on the ball falling his way as he flashes in and out of play.
  5. I dont think Tmac would agree to that role.
  6. He is a weapon we are keeping firmly in lockdown.
  7. Add Billings to that. Will be on show in the first final. I think he was the one we were going to take.
  8. I thought we should have looked at Ryder last year. He and Gawn would have been a nighmare match up. Hard to find rucks who kick goals but Max resting forward with another ruckman who can cover the ground and complete is a tactic worth trying. I remeber the panic opposition Clubs went into when Sandilands was plonked forward. Height in the forward 30 metres frome goals makes backs nervous.
  9. Well said and it reflects on the Club that were have encouraged a rover to do the crash and bash stuff. He is a rover size and should be playing to that style and spending time forward and snagging a few goals.
  10. Sounds like you are very young and naive if you think players make multi $$$ work decisions based on loving their mates. AFL is a business like any other. Players play for $$$, financial security, personal glory and success. Playing with your mates is suburban footy stuff.
  11. Clearly there was no deep thought in giving Goodwin an extention. How has he performed since the extension, 17th, 9th. with question marks on whether he can coach or not still lingering.
  12. How do you know the players are pro_Goodwin? Actions speak louder than words. We now have Petracca, Viney and Oliver linked to rumour talks. A key player and impressive person in TMac on the way out the door. Brayshaw looking for all the world like playing with us gives no joy. How many do you think will still be there if at the end of Goodys contract we get a new coach with a new plan. Even if it was Clarkson players will go..
  13. You slightly miss the point. The reason Goody is staying is that he has a contract. One that was extended on a whim. The players see that and must wonder what is going on too. Why are you confident Oliver wont leave for another 2-3 years and even then only if things dont turn around? i would like to know Y. It is only rumour at this stage but I pose this question.
  14. So we enter the next phase of Goodwins tenure. One I and other predicted on here and were scoffed at. Players wanting out. And star players at that. So naive to think players dont watch other Clubs, other coaches, notice their facilities and crowds when they are at an underperforming Club. It is no surprise it is the top players, Trac, Oliver and co, they play as a little team within a team and show little interest in moving the ball to others outside their group on most occasions.
  15. Gee he was good for a few years, almost unstoppable on the lead. In a way Weid plays a little like him. Runs in a straight line at the ball. Good get at a price, if injury free.
  16. Interesting observation. I thought I saw a bit with Dunkley. A few times he kicked to a spot where the player needed to run to to mark the ball. It didnt work as our boys were wanting it directly. Made him look bad. Good luck to the three of the boys. They are all good footy players and tried their best. All we can ask.
  17. Geelong are a genuine destination Club nowdays. Geelong offers a good lifestyle living in those Coastal towns and playing to adoring fans. I think it is a matter of how much that lifestyle appeals to the young Viney family. i will respect any decision he makes.
  18. Comprimised draft but if Geelong could get him and still have those 3 picks they could be in good future shape. Kinda think they are planning on not using, 11, 15 and 16.
  19. He did look, ginger, as we used to say. I like
  20. No one ever explained to you the difference between, cannt or will not.
