  1. Feels like he has played a LOT more. Exciting future ahead for this bloke.
  2. I understand it to be fact (from someone close enough to it all to trust). Having said that, he is on the plane so either someone is playing games with me or the club is playing games with Brisbane! We’ll know in about 28 hours.
  3. May won’t be playing.
  4. My other immediate thought on this article was that it was more than a little rich for a Hawthorn supporter to ‘take the high ground’ on sticking fat with an under-performing side. Their adult-supporter base was built on late 80s/90s success !
  5. The only thing that could have possibly made this article better was if the dorks were still playing at cold and windy Waverley and after another drubbing instead of catching a train home he had to trudge out to his car, only to be stuck in the boggy carpark for 6 hours listening to match reviews on the radio
  6. This thread is fun but I’d happily be your bookie if you think North will beat Freo this wk.
  7. Hope there isn’t anything more to this. He’s of huge value defensively/spacing-wise as the ball comes in, which blokes like Ben Brown benefit from.
  8. The more knowledgeable journalists are objectively looking at the action (intent/force/height) and are landing roughly where it netted out. The ‘special comments’ types are up in arms and want 17 weeks.
  9. He is now back for the game against Wet Toast in Perf… wonder if they’ll let him take a bit of time away and meet us in Perf for that game? Whilst not because of a suspension, I recall them letting LJ take quite a few trips back home during the season.
  10. Prefer to cop the two quietly rather than appeal. It’ll become a media circus (even more than it currently is) upon appeal and I just can’t see the AFL letting him get away with 1 week.
  11. There is a rumour his mum has asked Luke to ask his agent to ask the club if Jackson can sit out away games to enable him to spend 100% or his time in Perf.
  12. Mine came within the hour so my guess is you have it now. If not, something has gone wrong!
  13. And yet I would struggle to describe what he looks like
  14. Not known for his quality disposal and he was vying for a spot in a midfield that had widely-acknowledged ‘forward connection’ issues. The dogs are perhaps less worried about ‘how’ he gets it in there (because they’ve got so many marking options)? Hope it works out for him - from round 2 onwards, of course.
  15. Feel we dodged a bullet. Haven’t seen his stats tonight but felt he didn’t get heaps of it and had little influence on the game. Even last year when he was racking up possessions it didn’t feel like he was hurting sides.
  16. It’s all a ploy to keep strategic assets of the dodgy re-laid turf at the G.
  17. Crisis averted. An email with details does come through eventually… for me it was just in time to see Lee bogey the last and Scheffler birdie 🥴
  18. Did this get resolved? I just took up the offer but all I have received is a receipt (which is so far unhelpful in helping me watch the golf on Kayo this morning)
  19. Not sure how you could have Dusty, Danger and, to a lesser extent, the Bont ahead of Andrew Brayshaw… feels like the view of someone who did not enough football last year.
  20. S-lobbo better-suited to do a “top 50 footballers to get on the lash with” nowadays
  21. Also probably because very few sides have had 4 talls of sufficient quality that are worthy of a game. They get a fair bit of mobility through Jamarra and Naughton so they space quite well. But yes, if it isn’t working then it offers the perfect opportunity for sides to set up well from Half back.
  22. I think Dogs are flying under the radar a bit still. That frwd line is going to crucify a side this year. Just need to keep the pressure up on them through the guts and force shallow entries - you wouldn’t want to see Lever and May deep with Petty regularly trying to cover Naughton, Lobb, English, Ugle, Darcy.
  23. Tim Kelly stinking it up again. With the benefit of hindsight, one of the worst trades in history (for Wet Toast that is, Geelong laughing all the way to the bank)
  24. Top 4 finish 2021 and then a prelim last yr (with 2 finals wins and 15 regular-season wins) - they’ve hardly been awful. I just reckon they get better this year from an already-strong position.
  25. Imagine being an 18yo prodigy and locked in for 5 years of winters in Hobart 🥴 Back to the penal days of Van Diemens land!
