  1. Walker would be a perfect fit right now. But here is a bit of a left field trade scenario if, IF we can't keep Jackson. Melb Trade: Jackson & future 4th. Recieve: J. Ugle-Hagen & First Round Freo Trade: Lobb & First Round. Recieve: L. Jackson & Second Round Dogs Trade: J. Ugle-Hagen & Second Round. Recieve: Lobb & Future 4th Dogs really want Lobb, and apparently Jamarra isn't happy with not getting a game. He is too good a talent and them chasing Lobb doesn't look good for him. He would be a good prospect for our future teaming up with JVR. Obviously the picks would work out differently but just a rough idea.

Agree, good player. Great wingman but that money would be better spent on Jordon, Kossie, Sparrow ect
  3. He isn't even a Key Fwd in his own team. He has had to play more of a key fwd since Roughead retired. But he is as much a key fwd as Jackson is. Just cos a website says he is key fwd, he lines up in a fwd pocket every week.
  4. These are the same rankings that don't have Max Gawn as Elite. Also where is Fritsch's stats in this. Id say they are better in all but tackles.
  5. And 13kg lighter
  6. He might be 1cm shorter but he is also 13kg lighter. He doesn't play Key fwd. I Love Gunston, but doesn't fit our fwd line
  7. he isn't a key fwd, we already have the best version of Gunston's role in Fritsch
  8. we have got our injuries at the wrong time, just after the mid season draft
  9. yeh i didn't realise the turner inj, thats very disappointing. he looks to be a good size that can play on talls and med sized players. also realised my mistake on the tommo one, meant to be M. Brown
  10. FB: Salem May Bowie HB: Lever Petty Brayshaw C: Jordon Viney Langdon HF: ANB Daw/Weid Spargo FF: Kossie BB Fritta Mid: Jackson Oliver Petracca Int: Rivers, Harmes, Sparrow, Turner Out: M. Brown, Hibbard, Gawn, IN: Rivers, Weid, May Weid will come in, and it has to be him or Majak to help Jackson, i dont think the will go with Majak, he hasnt been super durable this year. Think we need to keep Turner or Tomlinson in against the Lions, they have a very tall fwd line
  11. I also think this is a factor. Also 2 games with second half fade outs, got a feeling maybe this flu or bug or whatever is floating around coukd have something to do with it too.
  12. FB - Rivers May Salem HB - Brayshaw Petty Lever C - Jordon Viney Langdon HF - Harmes Jackson ANB FF - Fritsch Brown Pickett Ruc - Gawn Oliver Petracca Int - Bowie, Sparrow, Spargo, Bedford Sub - Chandler Out: In: A. Tomlinson S. May J. Hunt T. Rivers M. Brown T. Bedford Ben Browns last chance, think the 3 talls without TMac doesn't work. so let's use Jackson as a centre half fwd, and go small in the fwd line when he or Gawn are off the ground. Just my thought, I doubt they will want to change the structure but something in the fwd line needs to change
  13. Off the back of Goodie's interview on SEN ( said Salem, Harmes, TMac and Langdon are all available for selection) IN OUT Harmes Melksham TMac Weid Langdon Dunstan(Was Sub) Salem Bedford (Becoms Sub)
  14. Hi Guys just thought i start a thread with Podcast interviews of past players/current players and Melbourne people that are around the place. More so interviews around people and not so much the generic player in season interviews. i have listened to a few and really have enjoyed them. Obviously the Demondland guys have some absolutely amazing ones of their own which are all on this website and i strongly advise you all listen to them when you get a chance. I didn't add any from other Demon podcasts as i don't want to step on any toes here., i also didn't bother with any Fantasy based podcast or club released stuff either. here is a few i have listened to and rather enjoyed: Nathan Jones - Dyl & Friends podcast Andrew Brashaw - Dyl and Friends podcast Max Gawn - Dyl and Friends podcast Clayton Oliver - Dyl and Friends podcast James Harmes - Dyl and Friends podcast Christian Petracca - Dyl and Friends podcast David Schwarz - Dyl and Friends Podcast Majak Daw - The Howie Games Majak Daw - Ordineroli Speaking Michael Hibbard - Ordineroli Speaking Max Gawn - The Imperfects Nathan Jones - Train Smarter Race Faster Choco Williams - Brukie and Burgo Darren Burgess - Brukie and Burgo (series 2 Ep1 - It's a grand old flag) STRONGLY RECOMMEND Enjoy, these are just ones that i have listened to, and i am sure there are plenty more, which hopefully people will post. Go Dees
  15. Out: Melksham, Dunstan, Wied, May(inj) IN: Salem(if ready), Langdon, TMac, Tomlinson Sub - Bedford I can't see Harmes being ready yet but if he is Rivers hasn't been outstanding this yr, with Salem coming back his spot in a fully fit side could be under scrutiny. At the end of the day it wasn't a good loss, but when you lose your Full Back, Centre Half Fwd and AA Wingman from your side it's not ideal.
  16. None of them are going to happen. It's just who would make the side better.
  17. Better wingman than Gus and JJ, would make our team better. Which is the thread
  18. Gaff is one of the best wingmen in the game. And after this year coukd also be cheap as chips he woukd actually be a gettable target. I get De Goey but he is a gun. As for Toby, he just plays on the line, by all accounts he is a huge club man and everyone loves him. So I think he would fit out culture. And he is the biggest X factor in the AFL
  19. King King Whitfield McCluggage Daniher Toby Greene Houston Mills Gaff De Goey A Key forward is obviously our weakest point - Kings, Daniher A second gun wing would help our side - Whitfield, McCluggage, Houston, Gaff Toby Greene is just a once in a lifetime type player, the clear best at what he is Mills could be a Viney upgrade And De Goey up forward and chopping out with Petracca would be scary for any back pocket that has to man them up.
  20. Jackson is very important to our structure, look at our game against Hawks when he didn't play. there were long periods of time where we struggled to get it past our half back line. Jackson is usually there as a bail out kick. Weid is just not as effective. And the other reason we need to sign him is Max is 30, and Majak is 31, ruckmen take so long to develop and we have one that is good now and untapped still. Agree we can't break the bank, but we will have to pay much higher than most 3rd year ruckmen have ever got.
  21. Good interview on the "Dyl and Friends" Podcast, Gus says he loves the club and the boys. and that its nothing, always a beat up over contract talks. he didn't commit to the Dees but says how much he loves it there. Gus is my favorite player but he is never going to get the role he like at the Dees. Trac and Oliver in the midfield over him and sadly when Salem comes back he loses the back line role he has been playing too. so it wouldn't be crazy to think he may want better opportunity especially if it comes with $$$ as he is on a good contract atm and i can't see the Dees being able to go above that or even able to match it again. Time will tell and hopefully he stays
  22. Out: Harmes (Inj), Chandler (Susp) In: Bedford, Laurie (Sub) Give Bedford another crack at the level, and Laurie a chance to experience game day prep. Those that think Chandler won't be suspended are crazy, it wasn't a good tackle. They are all trained to tackle to the side and drop one knee if possible. Motion in the tackle is exactly what the AFL don't want as it leaves the tackled player in a much to vulnerable state. there was no malice in the tackle and he didn't mean to hurt him but you have to tackle smarter than that in today's game.
  23. Think BBB getting reported is a small, very small blessing. being at the game on Thurs it was very obvious how hard it was for our Fwds to get leading lanes and take marks. Weid needs to do more but port flooded back and made it hard for our fwds all night, which is why is took Gawn and Jackson floating fwd to get some marks inside 50 from key targets. Hopefully Weid can feel a little more comfortable knowing his spot is safe for a week. T-Mac should not be dropped all year, he is a key link up player and the reason Gawn and Jackson get goals. he drags the key def up the ground and allows our rucks to switch and get miss matches in our fwd line. stuff you don't see on TV. he is a big Key to our set up. No change this week I'm not a fan of Hunt but he did nothing on the weekend to be dropped. Petty for Thommo but only if he is back to 100% fitness, if not let him build in the magoos whilst we are 0 losses
  24. If May is out then Jordon in. I don't think we need another tall def for Port or Dogs. This allows Chunk to be Medi Sub. If May is fine, then no change. Id love Chunk to get in, but would not like to be the one telling Jordon that he is dropped and not because of form.
