  1. Played of half back and wing. Coukd be a handy depth player for cheap as chips
  2. Daniel Howe from Hawks is also a good depth option for our backman stocks. 98 games, 26yo played 9 games this year. 20 games under Clarkson last year. Clearly not in Mitchels age demographic.
  3. Bye Hunt, obviously not that upset in missing out on a flag. Just signed away any chance of getting one now. Goodluck to you but easily replaced and won't be missed to much.
  4. I 100% agree with you, and I'm very keen on Cadman too, but unfortunately it will be way more complex than just this year's picks
  5. Love the effort and time. But there is no point to making up trades with picks just from this year. Always futures involved and the Dees have recently been active in that space
  6. Travy14 replied to DV8's topic in Melbourne Demons
If they terminate his contract he is a free agent. Most likely they would stand him down till the end of the year then trade. The clauses would be more financial than sacking. More likely suspension
  7. Yup, I like this. He has also played defensive wing at times this year for WC. Is a versatile player for nothing. Narkle is another player id look at, he has something, consistency is his issue but has had some big games at the top level. Probs not the type of player we need and he probably wont go to a club where he might not get a game, but if cheap enough worth it I think.
  8. They are also bringing in Liam Jones for nothing
  9. To early for anything really. But Barret saying that WC are not interested in Jackson at all. And Freo have alot to do to get Jackson in.
  10. The reason he is playing 2s is because of his skills and defensive pressure. And in the SANFL finals when the heat turned up he was very average! Be better of investing in our list and getting a cheap backup like Phillips, who I think just didn't fit the right age demographic at Hawks.
  11. As I said he has been dropped multiple times this year, and now again for a GF, when a Key Fwd is under an injury cloud and Buddy has signed for another year. Id say it's a great time to have a shot!
  12. Im not saying you are, but we are getting him. I believe Jackson said a simmilar thing when he signed his contract extension. If you watch the doco made last year he took stewed over that contract for a while. We gotta be aggressive if we want players like that, there is no free agents( besides McStay, pass) so have a crack at someone like this. Port are at Kossie, start putting it in these players head that we want them if they aren't happy. Does it matter if he says no? Move on to the next target
  13. Well a 21yo no 3 pick has been taken from us! And McDonald sat on that contract offer for a long time, I do think he will also eventually head back to WA. It's an opportunity to try, but Na let's not worry about it and just get grundy who is on a longer contract with more money
  14. He isn't a natural fwd, would be fine if he gets the third Def. I do also like him though
  15. Oh I'd love Larkey, would cost a bit though. But be worth it!!
  16. I agree with you there, I don't think Reid is any chance. I do rate this Kid though, dominated the WAFL as a 17yo. Recon he will turn out to be a good key fwd
  17. Not the first time he has been dropped, only signed a 2 year extension. If there is a time to try pry some young talent. This is it.
  18. Could we be bold and make a play for Logan McDonald who has just been dropped for a GF? Another WA boy, but might be a vulnerable time to strike??
  19. I love you optimism but unless they are paying him $600k over 5 years it will be a mid 3rd rounder. Hibbo wouldn't be on that much he signed a 1 year deal last year. And Baker would be on at least $350 as even rookies get that amount. Melksham signed a 3 year deal, so 500ish would probs be around the mark I think.
  20. Ahh ok, yeh we will take the compo then I guess
  21. Have the offered contracts?? Like surely those deals get done and announced straight away. Unless they are waiting to see player movement's and if they are required!
  22. Yup, he would be great on the HFF swapping with Petracca. IMO he has the tools to be alot like Petracca, and maybe a big off season following trac could do it. But also agree it's stuff of fantasies to get that deal done
  23. Apparently WC interested in Hunt, so maybe him instead of Bedford and ask for an additional future third round pick too
  24. My stuff of fantasies trade: Go after GC pick 7, trade Future first and Bedford for Pick 7. Then trade Pick 7 And Jackson to WC for Pick 2, Future First and Pick 20 Out: late first rounder, Bedford, Jackson In: Pick 2(use on Cadmann?), an early 2023 Pick and pick 20 It won't happen as I think the dees will try get Jackson to Freo. And I think Pick 7 is only on the table with Bowes.
  25. The point is depth, getting someone from outside the AFL system mean starting from scratch. its purely for coverage! Sign him on a rookie contract for 2 years whilst our kids develop and then de-list, if we're lucky he takes his chance and becomes out 2nd wingman.
