  1. Harmes and ANB are both South Aussies and the right age bracket for the crows

Wasn't me who said that. I wouldn't have Hunt or melksham in our b22. We are shocking by foot going inside 50, we shoukd be going hard at phillips. Or polec. Hunt has been at the club for 7 years now. He is what he is, handy depth but that's it. Smith shouldn't have been given another contract
  4. No chance of holding his salary, with De'Goey, Mihochek, daicos and a few others to sign still. As well as the reported players they are keen on.

Agree, although I dont rate Hannan or Hunt as pressure fwds. Kossie is a lock with Wied and fingers crossed a Ben Brown or the likes of, Frictsh and im guessing LJ. Which leaves one spot which needs to be a rotating mid. Trac, Oliver, viney, harmes, bray
  6. Phillips is a great player, the fact he has been in Coll best 22 for the bast 4+ years shows something. He should be our target ahead of Smith and Polec. He is the right age, can still work on weak areas of his game and is the outside run and carry we need. Should shoot straight to the top of our recruitment list. His disposal is good, not great and not bad.

Offer him and Hunt for picks, which we should chuck at Collingwood for Phillips, who should be top priority. Close second being Brown/Cameron/Hogan/Mihochek. We don't need Hannan and Hunt. We have Melksham, Fritcsh, Smith, Vanders, Harmes who can play that role.

https://amp.theage.com.au/sport/afl/demons-hannan-on-western-bulldogs-trade-radar-20201014-p5651k.html?__twitter_impression=true I like Hannan as a depth player, but is the exact type of player we should move on if the deal is right. Will find it hard to fit into our best 22 if we recruit another FWD.

Think we are to tall without him though. Weid, LJ, Brown, Fritsch, Trac. Means we onky have 1 small fwd. Spargo's best is very good. But his worst is bad! Kinda sounds familiar as a dees supporter.

I completely forgot about the parade and of course Trac's Brownlow celebrations.

LJ needs to play, but got a Bye before finals Gawn would be fine!

Out: Melksham, Smith, and someone In: Jones, Harmes, LJ Put harmes in and send him straight to Kelly! Jones on HF has been good this year, just dont put him behind the ball or somewhere his pace can be exposed! Other option is Hore, who i think is a much better version than Smith, but 0 football for 18 months probably doesnt bode well for him. Jackson needs to come in, if we were lucky enough to get through, Eagle backline is depleted, recon having Weid hold out a Key Def and Fritcsh take a Mcgovern out wide will allow LJ a run at it and Brown to work up the ground as an option, allowing Max to play his kick behind the play role. Unfortunately we have put ourselves in this position about making finals which is a shame, because if ever you want to play Eagles in a Perth final now is the time!

    Football isnt his issue!
  14. In - Hibberd, Harmes and LJ if fit Out - Nev, Melksham and Hunt
  15. God it be good to have all tgese kids playing in the same side and hearong those names in the commentary again!
  16. Travy14 replied to dazzledavey36's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Very good option, hadn't even thought of him. Needs a good mentor like a hibberd or may. Has massive upside and coll can't expect too much for him after dropping him like 4 times throughout the season. At tge right price could be a great get!
  17. Exactly why im saying a couple more pre-seasons and he will be a serious player
  18. Agree, but repeat it over 4 quarters is what I mean. Like a Cyril, have 3-4 repeat efforts a quarter. Some to no avail. Couple more hard working pre-seasons and look out. Who knows he could also bulk up and be like his uncle Byron ???
  19. Very good, just doesnt have an afl tank yet, going to be a star
  20. Pickett and Bedford are both young lads that need to learn senior footy, and no VFL this year which hurts development. both are better options than most in our reserves, we went inside fifty 35 times. and id say that 50% at least gave them no opportunity to apply pressure. if your basing selection on Mon night well there will be 14 changes. Pickett will be good, he needs to be managed properly, its obvious his body isn't ready for full AFL seasons yet, but that comes down to coaching workloads. Bedford needs a proper go, he has the skills and the pace. Spargo is an OK selection, but him and Hannon are both the same, they have one great game followed buy 2-3 poor ones. they get a 4-5 week crack, so why not Bedford instead?
  21. I forgot about Smith, OUT in - Harmes if fit, and play him as a tagger!!
  22. Out - Baker, Melksham, Preuss, ANB In - T. Mac, Sparrow*, Hore*, Lockhart *if fit, which i think they are

Best 22 for Round 1 2021 FB: M. Hore S. May T. Rivers HB: J. Lever T. McDonald C. Salem C: E. Langdon A. Brayshaw T. Phillips HF: B. Fritsch J. Hogan K. Pickett FF: T. Bedford S. Weideman J. Viney(resting mid rotation) Fol: M. Gawn C. Petracca C. Oliver Int: M. Hibberd J. Harmes L. Jackson J. Lockhart Think Hogan and Phillips are very fringe at current club, and if we are lucky enough to get an CHF well McDonald was once a super solid defender, very reliable. also is a few wing types going to be available so no reason we cant get one as long as we can afford it.
