  1. Pretty confident the FD can come up with a late second early third round pick if they need to, probably more than one with what we have to trade/offload. You don't get to move up in a draft as strong as last years without paying overs and Lindsay will likely be worth every cent.
  2. Where does that leave Richardson? Is this a quiet backhander to a guy who's contract we don't want to pay out but ideally we want gone? I'm really not sure Bartel has the runs on the board to take over what is effectively the running of our entire FD.
  3. Best FB I've seen at the club and pivotal to our flag but he's cooked. I'd consider an offer from North for a May, Lever double but I doubt we trade Lever.
  4. I won't surprise me if Melksham plays a few more.
  5. The AFL is miles behind on this issue. The very fact no AFL player has turned up with his boyfriend to an event shows how ingrained homophobia is within the industry. There’s many reasons for this and I won’t bore you with my take. The biggest mistake after Rankine’s was how the AFL dealt with the issue. Once again they dropped the ball. It was a 4-5 week penalty on precedent alone. This is not on the Collingwood players who called it out although we can certainly discuss their motives. Our society has many issues and one of the worst is for people to keep defending the use of these words whilst our young kids look on and gay and transgender kids commit suicide at multiples over the average. It doesn’t matter if you’re 70 or 20, compassion, empathy and understanding only make us better.
  6. It ended up a Daicos free after Ed grabbed his leg. The umpiring was atrocious but that's not new. I thought we got a few gifts as well.
  7. That's long been the word on Daly. Apparently he turned down both MaCrae and Hardwick for fairly recent assistant roles. He'd be a huge get for us imo.
  8. I think you can let that go now. I was doubtful of his appointment however now he’s started let’s give him and Smith some time, they deserve at least that.
  9. Your man May is a deadset liability. He’s not streets ahead of anyone on an AFL list
  10. The way May moves, the quicker transition, his attitude at times…..if it’s not the end he’s going to need one hell of a preseason.
  11. He may get a game in front of May but it’s still a no
  12. I’m predicting we’ll fold like a cheap suit but it’ll make my season if we knock them out of the finals which is what we have the opportunity to do.
  13. They can’t sack Richo now anyway. He’s contracted till 26 I believe and surely we can’t afford 2 unfilled salaries in the soft cap next season
  14. I opted out of the frenzy and become a watcher and reader for awhile. Your enthusiasm needs to be commended and the report writers have been awesome.
  15. Righto, are we all going to gush or get a serious report done. You know who you are, you’ve got till 4 and make em comprehensive! Something about playing Collingwood that gets me back in the zone. 😎
  16. Sheesh people look good in Demon wear.
  17. I’m against Buckley because I think others including Daly are a better choice. He’s the safe, predictable, club in strife choice. I want us to be able to recognise the next great coach not the last ok coach. C’mon Big Fella, I expect better from a man of your statue.
  18. I can think of 2 players who I’d consider moving along if we got high picks for them. Do we ask for a high pick and cop the high shared salary. It’s probably the only way we can get into the first round.
  19. All well and good excepting the fact that running Half Back's with neat disposal and sound defensive capabilities are what drives a team. McVee is that player, yes he's been poor this year but let's not start throwing out the baby with the bathwater.
  20. It’s become a team of individuals and therein lies one of our main onfield issues. I don’t know or much care what Judd wants but for mine he replaces Salem, who honestly I loved as a player but he’s become about as useful as a toupee at a bald man’s convention. If we open 2026 with May at FB, Salem at HB, Lever in rehab and Judd playing for the Cats I’m tapping out till 27.
  21. Kanga’s support isn’t essential but it’s welcome. Lock this in and we’re automatically better off. It amazes me that so much land sits there barely being used. Our facilities will still leave plenty of grass for dogs to poop on. NIMBY’s can GAGF.
  22. Handball over the top to a running Windsor
