  1. We’re not sacking Goodwin until at least round 10, we’ll likely have a CEO by then
  2. Stand still laddy!
  3. My problem with them playing soccer is really just where I choose to take my frustration with the club atm. Here we are struggling with a new game plan, shocking disposal and the bulk of the players playing below what we've seen in the past and there they are running around laughing and playing soccer. If they were winning, united and their disposal efficiency was higher I wouldn't care less.
  4. Great, I'm now firmly in the camp of trading both these guys but Oliver most importantly. I'd take a highish first round pick and they pay the bulk of his salary. We need the picks and we just don't need the attention. I'd want a top 10 pick for Petracca and all his salary. You can want more but the reality is these guys are nearing 30, one comes with significant baggage and the other likely doesn't want to do the hard work required to lift this club back to the top. Pickett I say he has to stay at least one more year and then we'll talk. Get 2 more highish picks into taylor's hands, a new coach and a assistants and a strong CEO and board and I'm of the belief this list will flourish. Get a new coach in the mould of Kent Kingsley. I just can't imagine he would tolerate the rubbish we've put up with. I love love but listening to my coach talk this dribble must make the Harvey Langford's of the team think WTF!
  5. If Tholstrup is fit and in no danger of aggravating his injury which I’m sure is the case I’d play him. I’d also play Lindsay under the same covenant. The sooner all these young guys are playing together it won’t be long until they start driving the standards. New leaders will appear and old leaders will step back. This is what we desperately need. At years end Goodwin retires, new coaches start. Petracca and/or Oliver are traded and more draftees arrive. I’m confident about the future but jeez this year is going to be tough.
  6. Our new coach won't be moving Fritsch on
  7. I'll hazard a guess because well managed clubs don't sign players until they have to.
  8. So you look like lloyd?
  9. Yeh cause Zaharakis was part of so much success! You must of known I’d find a way to condemn soccer, never underestimate my ability to level negative spin at a situation!
  10. We have players making space but we don’t have players who steady and look and we also do t have many players who can kick. Either way there’s plenty to work with…..isn’t there??
  11. The poor guy. Much easier to step into a team that's travelling well and you've been practising the role expected of you. What would the expectations be on a first gamer currently?
  12. I wonder why it's taking so long? I don't think it's necessarily a bad thing but as the heat turns up on the club it'd be good to have this settled. There's change on the horizon and that's harder to implement without a strong CEO. I would have thought Steven Smith would have a host of connections he could work through. I do wonder if they have someone in the wings who's got to finish up somewhere else first?
  13. Does anyone seriously think this guy will add much to our team? Clutching at straws.
  14. I'm coming around to the idea of trading both for whatever the best deal is. I've got a nasty feeling the damage done by them can't be undone and the club needs some clear air. it's a damning indictment on a club that had 2 of the very best mids and now this. Look at how Richmond handled Dusty and compare that to our handling of Oliver. The mere fact we would let Petracca become so unhappy that he wants out publicly is shocking. This needed to be handled in house. We need a new coach, a new football director, new assistants, seemingly a new fitness guru, a CEO and a Smith and Green to be working on a solution. Thankfully we have a list with obvious talent, time is fast approaching when we need to start making hard decisions. I'd hazard a guess that this has started behind the scenes. This industry moves fast and if we make poor decisions now it's only going to get worse.
  15. Sparrow would walk into most sides and become a very good extractor. Then you guys would all be saying how we let him go!
  16. I wasn't ready to be ordinary again. I really hope they make the correct decisions over the next few years otherwise this ends very badly. What worries me is opening the paper and seeing that Jason Taylor has left the building.
  17. Mate of mine goes with his 4 kids. They drive over and camp in a beautiful spot about an hour's drive from the city. Saves them a bundle.
  18. interesting listening to on the couch about the need for elite HB’s. Can’t wait to see how McVee and Windsor go once they’ve had some time together.
  19. no thanks
  20. I tried to stop complaining about it, I really did. Then I watched the game on Friday and now it’s annoying me again.
  21. We’re not giving up we just don’t play with any fluidity or flair, we’re grinding. Playing the way we are would wear even the fittest sides out, out least that’s my hope. For if we actually aren’t fit enough then seriously, wtf!!
  22. We keep saying we're moving to this fast transition football but then watch us time and again kick it long to a contest. We also ignored players in the corridor all night. I'm not convinced the players even know what it is they're supposed to be doing. We've got senior players clearly playing as individuals. If The Brand was serious about us improving he'd be driving the change, sorry but I see a petulant child more than I see an experienced leader of men. I'm shocked how bad we are this year. Bar Chandler there's not a player that has improved on their previous best, That's a terrible indictment. If it turns out we're also not fit enough then we are truly cooked. I still think it's the way we play that's killing us but maybe it's fitness as well.
  23. Cutting the 4 o'clock deadline fine Kev. To be honest I'm not sure I care right now.
  24. I'm docking a week for the soccer balls, Goodwin's got 5-7, Did he say love or vulnerable?
