  1. We’re offering our opinion on a player who was selected with a high pick. It’s hardly earth shattering. I doubt he’d be offended and if he is then that says a lot about his chances.
  2. I’m not worried about Petty’s form. He’s barely had a preseason, didn’t play for large chunks of last season and will take awhile to find his feet. I also don’t think you can have a forward line of Brown, JVR, Petty and Fritsch. That’s basically pulling the band on the slingshot for the opposition. For mine once Petty finds form we send BBB to a paddock, hopefully McAdam can string 15 games together and our forward half will then become quite dynamic and unpredictable. Fritsch JVR Pickett ANB Petty McAdam interchange Chandler The way we’re headed it’s going to take a Herculean second half of the season.
  3. Jefferson needs to get on his bike as a forward. Lead up to the wings, run his opponent off his feet. Tell Schache to stay in the goalsquare. He needs to get his hands on the ball a lot more. Playing him back isn’t the answer, confidence is. Even the way he holds himself screams doubt. That’s his issue from where I sit. I’m not sure he believes he belongs or is willing to fight for it. Until that changes nothing else will. Turner on the other hand continues to show he has what it takes. Maybe as a forward??
  4. The only chance we have to win it this year is if we have a fully fit and firing best 23-25 to pick from. Last year was a massive missed opportunity and with more competitive sides this year a good injury run is essential. Personally I think we need McAdam playing some good footy and Oliver needs to return to full fitness although I fear that may not happen until next season. If we can’t finish top 4 we’re cooked.
  5. Truth a bit painful?
  6. I’ve watched about 15 Casey games with him in them. He has shown nothing to suggest he’s going to make it. Doesn’t take marks, doesn’t kick goals, doesn’t hit packs and is only an average kick.
  7. I couldn't of put it better myself. Here's a kid with as much chance of making the grade as me.
  8. Oh my, what an afternoon's work from the big fella. I'll also be shocked if Fullarton gets a gig in the seniors.
  9. You must be kidding, he’s done 2 parts of nothing
  10. Is he your brother?
  11. Sadly we know the reality of Schache
  12. Jeez I’d love Jackson and Gus right now
  13. Did we seriously turn down 2 first round picks for Petty? Not sure who’s recruiter’s made the bigger mistake.
  14. Beveridge is the architect of this. Bailey Dale with the vest, while O’Donnell (who?) on the ground. Caleb Daniel in the 2’s. Bont playing a lot down forward despite them already having Darcy, Naughton and Ugle-Hagen down there. Oscar Baker on a wing. I could go on He’s trying to be smart, but instead is being stupid.
  15. As he's injured again I don't see him offering much......I was pretty upbeat on him prior to the season so see him as a loss, whether that's because of injury or form doesn't matter.
  16. Gus was a massive loss and now with Salem out I worry we’ve got no one mopping up down back when we’re under seige. Who replaces Gus, the versatile utility?
  17. So we’re now down Bowey and Salem. Personally I don’t see Salem offering much anymore. He’s an injury away from another injury. Bowey we need and then we hope Hore can reach the output. Early signs were promising. We’ve now lost Gus and Salem, they’re big big holes to fill. Howes is showing early good signs but who’s replacing Gus?
  18. If Max grabbing the ball and kicking it 10 metres up into the air becomes our strategy then I’m done. Max has an incredible ability to control where he puts the ball. I’d have him drop it at his feet on occasion and have our mids go to work.
  19. I’m always hoping Baker will play well but he’s a certified spud.
  20. Good to see Turner playing. AMW the only one in that lot who may push. Hunter surely needs a few runs.
  21. Post the PA win if we were a bit smarter
  22. I had my doubts coming into the season and was buoyed by the way we’ve played and the potential for improvement that lies within our numbers from the first 5 rounds. Last night, whilst immensely disappointing, doesn’t have me reverting back to doubts. We were knackered and Brisbane were absolutely desperate for the win. [censored] happens. No one on here can tell me that Trac, Viney and Oliver will play like that very often. I’d be surprised if a bug hadn’t got the group whilst away. Take the week, then we’ve got 3 tough games. I’ll reserve judgement until after the Carlton game.
  23. In: Pickett, BBB Out: Salem, Hore
  24. I thought he showed plenty. Good debut on a horrible night to debut. He certainly now knows how much work lies ahead of him.
  25. Sure but what hurt far more than this was the contested work. They smashed us. Our bulls looked tired and sore. 4-2
