    Fake news
  2. On this we completely agree. Let’s get Roy on the list asap.

I think Caulfield ticks all the boxes. Plenty of room, we end up with first class facilities equal to other teams, plenty of supporters live within easy reach and it puts to bed our homeless state. Whilst it feels 50 - 50 it’ll happen if it does I for one will be quietly stoked.

I think the shoes are a serious issue.
  5. Fritsch needs to stay close to goal, it’s pretty simple. Inside 40m with even slightly better ball movement he’s a weapon. If we want to have him influence games we need to move it a bit quicker and lower the eyes into the 50. Not all our inside 50’s need to be like that. We can still kick it long if needed and we’re set up defensively. But when we get a faster break he’s rarely in the wrong spot. He’s a 2-3 a game goal kicker in these circumstances. Calling for his head was at times warranted last year, his second efforts were abysmal and third efforts non existent. I’m expecting a much better year this year. If not, realistically who’s his replacement because McAdam is a long shot and I think Melksham can play alongside him if his form warrants.
  6. In other words he’s safe as houses
  7. It was but you were annoying me 😘
  8. Collingwood on top……I’ve got money to say that doesn’t happen
  9. It’s nothing to do with where the team finished and everything to do with his standing in the team.
  10. Chandler came 8th in the Bluey yet you’d prefer to hang your hat on a untried hunchback with questionable attack on the ball…..got it!
  11. Tholstrup will be in the 22.
  12. Sacked for giving his honest opinion? I’m not sure that’s ideal. You and I aren’t going to agree on this. What we do agree on is we both want Jeffo to have a great season and help our forward line. Let’s leave it at that. Happy for you to say I told you so in 6 months time.
  13. Jeffo can’t cover for or let Max have a rest. Jeffo doesn’t attack the ball like his life depends on it. Jeffo is an average VFL player who can’t dominate at that level. One of his coaches commented as such. I’d love him to succeed but what we need is a forward who can attack the pill like his life depends on it, I think Johnson may be ahead on this score and he can pinch hit in the ruck leaving JVR as a permanent forward. Structurally I think he’s a better choice IF he’s good enough.
  14. More than what has thus far been provided. If he’s not careful a guy picked at 68 will jump ahead of him.

I always think what would have happened had May ironed out Pendlebury exactly the same way….6 weeks no questions.
  16. And you only get to play AFL if you’re good enough.
  17. I also differ from the senior coach on McAdam. Jefferson needs to show he’s got what it takes to be a key forward in the AFL. If he can do that I’ll be more than satisfied
  18. No ones training as well as us. In the words of RDB “We’re training the house down whilst other clubs are stuck trying to remove roof tiles”
  19. If McAdam breaks down then surely a spot opens up. We’ve also got likely past it players in Melksham (could still be useful but don’t see him best 25) and Fullarton. Then there’s the ever lingering possibility of a season ending injury.
  20. Let’s hope you’re right. My observations from his year at Casey are different to others.
  21. Swap the Pies for the Dee’s and I think it’s on the money
  22. I’m guessing he’ll play forward when the game demands it. He’s awesome around the ball but if Rivers and Langford are on top he’s such a damaging presence up forward. He’s too good to not have around the ball especially in tight games. I think if we transition to a more attacking style he’ll be front and centre at clearances. 2025 is likely going to be his best year yet.

Rubbish in what way? Players need to be protected from serious injury just as they are now protected from concussion. You can no longer allow ruptured spleens, collapsed lungs and broken ribs without at least looking at the rules. I don’t want to see the high mark outlawed, I also don’t want to see players out of the game because of avoidable injuries. Moore does not need to lift his knee. He owes a duty of care to Petracca as Chol does to May. It’s not hard to expect players to leap without driving the knee into players backs.

Players deserve protection from grotesque injuries. You do not need to jam your knee into an opposition players side to spoil or take a mark. It should always be a vertical motion as opposed to horizontal. Just watch how Jeremy Cameron marks high balls. Moore drives his knee into players week in week out. He’s caused several really significant injuries and the fact the AFL isn’t discussing this just shows how asleep at the wheel they are…..Oh but Kozz gets 3 weeks….give me a break. It’s laughable.
  25. I think one of the things that we should be able to benefit hugely from this coming season is improved fitness and thus greatly improved two way running.
