PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
All I want to know is is the season back on if we beat Brisbane?

CLARRY IS NOT A TAGGER
Oliver tags Newcombe who's ineffective, Dee's smash Hawks at clearance, fans call for coach to be sacked. Right, got it.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
We train like it’s the fourth quarter and that’s how we play when it matters most.

Welcome to Demonland Matthew Jefferson
You’ve been calling for him to get game time and when he does you still complain. The kid was all at sea yesterday. Looks like a 16 year who got bullied at school.

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
It's now all about 2026 and bedding in fitness and game plan. Out: May, anyone in his kind of form with his lack of mobility and inability to put any pace on the ball needs to have time called. Fritsch, Lazy and can't even kick straight atm. Tholstrup, I like him but he needs to find more form than he's currently showing. Are we really giving games to guys who bring good energy, isn't that a prerequisite? In: Laurie, last last last chance saloon, he just might like the new game plan Brown, If you want run, endeavour and a guy who can stick a tackle then surely he's due a chance. Petty, goes without saying. Personally other than finding a backup for Max and making sure we keep Kozz I think we have the talent. We need to unlock JVR and find a Melksham replacement for next year, although I could see him going again. I'd also like a fitness coach who has the team running out last quarters or is it a confidence thing or both. Sure looks like a fitness issue to me.

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
We played well and had we taken our chances and the umpires opened their eyes I think we could have got ourselves 4-5 goals up. We need better fitness to run the game out and we still can’t kick 35m goals. Really disappointing result, change a few things as be we win that Langford was fantastic.

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs Brisbane
Out: May, Tholstrup, Jefferson, ? In: Adams, Viney, Petty, Melksham May looks more cooked than a slow roast. Time catches everyone and it’s lapped him in the last 6 months. Time to move on.

GAMEDAY: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
I think today will play similarly to how our game against the Swans in 23 did. Beautiful day, JVR pumped, clean skills, good run and a solid win.

Football without emotion is just a game.- PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
Well it’s going to be a cracking day and if we can block up the corridor and pressure the ball carrier we should have a solid advantage if they decide to kick long up the line. I don’t care how we win just beat these [censored].- PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
Firstly I reckon the Hawks are over rated. Secondly I think we're in reasonable form Thirdly I think they'll be coming off a little after their circle [censored] last week. Fourthly I hate em, all of them, the whole club, the supporters, the entirety. So we have to win, it's been glorious years beating them and I'd like it to continue.- Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
This.....If the stories were true Goodwin's response would have been "I'm not going to be drawn in to discussing articles written about Clayton, I've got a strong relationship.......blah blah blah, he didn't he categorically stated the articles weren't true. I mean it's from some pretty low life click baiters. I've oscillated on Oliver over the journey. Hindsight says we probably trade him at the end of 23 when we'd have likely got 2 high picks and most of his salary covered. Now I'm in the keep him and keep building him camp. He's been through some pretty serious tumult over the last 3 years. He's clearly got the backing of his coach, captain and his team mates. He's still racking up good numbers whilst not being as damaging as he once was, although that 3rd quarter against Richmond was pretty damn good. He's only 27 so potentially has 6-7 more good years in him. He'll get fitter again this pre season and there's no reason his formline won't continue to improve over the next few years. I'm actually starting to think the club has done a phenomenal job supporting him and getting him back on the field. For all the [censored] the media has slung his and our way here's a kid fronting up to work day in day out working his backside off to help his team. It's a fair effort. You don't have to look very far to see just how badly it can turn out for stars of the game.- PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
Viney is a big out this week, he wasn't 3 weeks ago. He's been a great tagger and that's a role he can continue to play. Oliver back will help fill the hole so we should cover that ok. Oliver just should never kick the ball, feed it out to the runners. If we get the third quarter against Richmond from him we'll be more than fine. Melksham is a tougher loss. I think Jefferson has been bought in to man Sicily. He's played a fair few games in defence at Casey and I think it's good to give the kid a focus. If he nullifies Sicily, helps create a few goals and perhaps kicks one or two then that's a massive win, looking forward to watching that contest. Because we'll be leading late Sicily will go forward where I think TMac can cover him. There's no doubt Petracca is finding his mojo again as he gets better week after week. I'm expecting a big game from him and another from Gawn. The others are all playing pretty good footy, Windsor had his best game for the year last week, Lindsay is just rolling along beautifully and Bowey is loving his footy atm. All up I'm predicting the Dee's by 40 although it could be closer if we put the queue in the rack late. Unlike Collingwood we don't have the luxury of resting our stars for whole games, we're going to have to do it during games. Don't be surprised to see Max and Tracc on the bench for the last 10 minutes after JVR kicks his 4th to take us 45 points up. - PREGAME: Rd 09 vs Hawthorn
