  1. This post is chasing me around Demonland, everywhere I click it appears.
  2. I believe there's 1 closed session each week at Casey. Looking at the way we play I'd say we need another on forward half connection. We played good footy on Saturday. If we cleaned things up and kicked straight we win that. That's all I want to see, some leading patterns, forwards working to create room and mids who know where their forwards and the space they lead into is likely to be. Oh and I'd love us to kick straight. I also thought we weren't as good at forward pressure on Saturday but I may be wrong on that when you look at the numbers. Forwards running forward patterns as opposed to soccer or whatever other unstructured training they're doing. I'll admit I could be completely wrong with these observations and perhaps they have been training these things for years, maybe the pudding is just destined to be flat.
  3. You play like you train, you always have. Considering the glaring weakness we have doesn’t require heavy contact to practice it needs to be practiced all the time. 4 years and counting.
  4. Pickett can’t be let go for peanuts. Jackson isn’t peanuts but he’s not as valuable as Pickett
  5. Operation get Jackson underway.
  6. People saying Clarry was wasted on Saturday were watching a different game to me.
  7. It’s a stretch to say he was tearing up the vfl
  8. If Viney got concussed against WC why the absolute fkcu can't he play this weekend?
  9. Any chance they practised anything today?
  10. It annoys me that we don't spend all our time practicing forward entries, shots on goal and crumbing to the likes of JVR, Petty, whoever! Maybe we do it in secret but the reports I'm reading all go on about the happy mood, laughing, lack of structure at training. It's now showing on game day where that leads. A team with the obvious flaws we have and have had for years need to be training this all the time. See how I did that without even mentioning that they play soccer instead of doing this.
  11. We've got Langford, Lindsay, Windsor, Bowey, Chandler, JVR, Petty, Pickett, Rivers, Spargo, Turner and Tholstrup as our future. We're doing ok. Happy for Kalani to play like the Messiah but he's got a few to top first.
  12. He was pretty good against GWS, real pity he broke his hand the very next week.
  13. Missing that goal wasn't a hanging offence considering the absolute monty's we butchered for 3 quarters. It's clear to everybody what Jefferson's achilles heel is. So it comes down to either moving on or fashioning a role for him if you believe his other attributes are good enough. Once the season is officially cactus why not play JVR and him as tall forwards and get him to play to his strengths which apparently are marking on the lead. If we can create some more space in our F50 which I believe is part of our current plan just maybe we can build his confidence into becoming a useful forward. Playing him for one game here and there is unlikely to work with this kid. I look at a kid who doesn't think he belongs and he plays like that. It's up to the club to make him believe he does belong and get him to play accordingly. I'd be telling him to crash a few packs and get your hands on the ball whether you mark it or not. Don't care if you give away a few frees, just find some body. Anyway he's likely a bust but for me it looks way more between the ears than anywhere else. Even his posture says "Don't hurt me" Someone needs to shake that out of him and also lie him over a bolster 2 hours a day, get that chest to puff out, draw those shoulder blades down his back, the kid looks tense. Relax Jeffo!!
  14. All I want to know is is the season back on if we beat Brisbane?
  15. Oliver tags Newcombe who's ineffective, Dee's smash Hawks at clearance, fans call for coach to be sacked. Right, got it.
  16. We train like it’s the fourth quarter and that’s how we play when it matters most.
  17. You’ve been calling for him to get game time and when he does you still complain. The kid was all at sea yesterday. Looks like a 16 year who got bullied at school.
  18. It's now all about 2026 and bedding in fitness and game plan. Out: May, anyone in his kind of form with his lack of mobility and inability to put any pace on the ball needs to have time called. Fritsch, Lazy and can't even kick straight atm. Tholstrup, I like him but he needs to find more form than he's currently showing. Are we really giving games to guys who bring good energy, isn't that a prerequisite? In: Laurie, last last last chance saloon, he just might like the new game plan Brown, If you want run, endeavour and a guy who can stick a tackle then surely he's due a chance. Petty, goes without saying. Personally other than finding a backup for Max and making sure we keep Kozz I think we have the talent. We need to unlock JVR and find a Melksham replacement for next year, although I could see him going again. I'd also like a fitness coach who has the team running out last quarters or is it a confidence thing or both. Sure looks like a fitness issue to me.
  19. We played well and had we taken our chances and the umpires opened their eyes I think we could have got ourselves 4-5 goals up. We need better fitness to run the game out and we still can’t kick 35m goals. Really disappointing result, change a few things as be we win that Langford was fantastic.
  20. Out: May, Tholstrup, Jefferson, ? In: Adams, Viney, Petty, Melksham May looks more cooked than a slow roast. Time catches everyone and it’s lapped him in the last 6 months. Time to move on.
  21. One thing, McVee needs to learn to take body at times. It cost us 3 goals today
  22. I don’t know about you lot but that hurt. We had them on toast and played some great footy. This year becomes all about next year.
  23. They play that [censored] [censored]
  24. Kicking ourselves into oblivion
