  1. On a tight budget as probably most are, but I think that jumper will look good framed in the living room?
  2. Bulldogs at the G in round 7, we at least have avoided the hub for now...
  3. Think most would agree our 1st 22 looks the goods on paper, but on form we are playing like a bottom 4 side. I'd like Goodwin to change things up a bit, firstly I'd bring Harmes into the forward line maybe even out of the goal square ( remember him kicking 3 in a Quater against the saints a couple years back) he could rotate through the middle with Trac or Clarry when they need a spell. I'd then use Jones or Lockhart in defense. Like to know what everyone thinks? I feel Harmes was just starting to really flourish as a mid who could kick goals and we moved him back?? The other really puzzling thing is why we are not playing the Weed as a leading full forward I see him turning into a Lloyd type if we can get the best out of him. I'd play him every week ask him to lead out at the ball instead of kicking it on his head in 3 v1s
  4. That's the thing we should play them next week, and push the Geelong game back a week
  5. The verdict is still out untill they both get a clear run at it without injuries
  6. Go missing for 3 quarter's this week and we will loose by 10 goals.
  7. Worst feeling ever after a win, was really looking forward to footy and we dished up one good quarter....
  8. Have a bit more faith, I think we will smash the baggers and set up a return to finals... Dees by 42
  9. we really need that never say die attitude we had in the first two finals off 2018, to be the absolute minimum intensity and desperation at every single contest no matter the scoreboard if we can't do that then... bye bye Goodwin
  10. I'm now in the process of watching the replay, I always do no matter the result, but what I continue to see at Melbourne is too many players look to be labouring to get into defensive position and this is magnified against the better team's in the comp untill we have it ingrained in our DNA to run hard both ways we will be mid table at best
  11. How the F are we turning in another [censored] rd 1 performance half the player don't look ready to many fumbles an second guessing
  12. Our best 22 looks strong enough to push for top 4, from there a bit of luck and we can pinch a flag. Although we have heaps of talent none have turned into out and out superstars of the game, that is what will lift us to compete year in year out.
  13. Set backs look likely to continue but I still stand by our clubs decision to give him a go even if he never makes it back
  14. We really need May and Lever to play every game this year and maybe Petty next in line for a KPD, I was a Oscar fan but he needs to earn his spot by playing flawless defence 5, to 6 weeks in a row
  15. I like to think the club has learnt from there mistakes and are taken a very curious approach with the players this preseason, just hoping when they come back they are ready to string 20 + games together. We have heaps of talent so for me no1 priority is team chemistry if we get 20 games out off our top 15 players then skis the limit this year. GO DEES!
  16. Think the long term members are feed up with all this hype before the season only to be let down, if they want to increase memberships win more than you loose is as simple as that. All these videos and docos do is create unnecessary presure on the club before a ball is bounce. Knock off the weagles r1 and memberships will fly out the door
  17. I agree with your comments, however with guys like Maxy, Oliver, Brayshaw, Petrecca, Viney all in or entering their prime, think we need to focus on the now and snag a premiership, before waiting for more players to develop. Pick 3 should be a gun like Chris Judd, or Dangerfield
  18. We don't seem to nail KPP at the Draft, still waiting for Weed to be a consistent forward. I think we really have to top up our mids so we bat deeper then anyone else and work on the ruck and forwards with picks outside the first round. The way I see it we should be challenging for a flag with the talent we have and not let it go to waste
  19. Really don't understand the fuss over Jackson, we have the best ruckman in the comp and a guy who is putting in the hard yards this preseason to give him a chop out and play forward (preuss), we should take best available with picks 3 and 10 I'd go with Flanders and one of Serong or Stephens, the have a look whos available at p28, develop the midfield and forwards and we maybe able pick up a ruckman late in the draft this year or next. Big chance Jackson will want to go back home after his done his apprenticeship under Max in a few years
  20. Can't remember if it was 2017 or 18 but he played a game against West coast and was enormous had nearly 40 touches and killed them hope he gets back to that
  21. I think you will find any off the 18 clubs would have a fit JV in their 22, at 18 he walk into a club on its knees and flew the flag along with Jones. Nat Jones decided to concentrate on footy for his last couple seasons, but you can't take the captaincy away from Viney now. The MFC already did this to Grimes and Trenners. Getting back to the article you will see he has leadership qualities and is only getting better. We don't have a Selwood or Pendelbury, but we can look after our young up and coming leader and produce our own version Can't argue with that

  23. We can't hear what he says on the field... he tracked at 71% disposal efficiency this season just above AFL average, when the team's playing poorly all the clangers stand out more, with a full preseason he will go to another level
  24. Turing into a real leader, can't believe people want him to step down, he may not be a polished speaker in the media but he bleeds for the club and that the first thing you need as your captain, think a combination of Viney and Maxy compliment each other perfectly. With T Mac as Vice.
  25. Good article and love the optimism but now only actions will do, we have read enough 'pump up' articles over the years. Time for this club to win games consistently
