Feeling exactly the same.... It seems like we got rid of the one constant we had. now the whole club needs to be reset, and hopefully, they are all on the same page.

He spoke incredibly well.... all class and will forever be MFC royalty... Hopefully the board actually know what they are doing

Anyone know how far away we are from any news at all on our new hb?

No one in the media praising he club for acting swiftly to look after their premiership coach and not wanting him to go out at rock bottom. FWIW i hope we get a experienced coach maybe a Buckley with a understudy to take over when his done, a 10 yard plan, stability and aligned direction

Congratulations ED what a wonderful inclusion he has been to our club... i would highly recommend him in a leadership role, maybe VC.

Without any real understanding as to how the mfc is operating. Could it be that the current CEO is that invested in the club they and he know he will be there in any roll to help the club, so he fills the gap for 12 months till we find someone with a skill set we require (possibly to get the HB done).

Am I the only Goody defender left??? This playing group is [censored] weak mentally until this is rectified... no coach will succeed here. When the pressure was off early (both teams no finals to play for we play our best footy for the year). As soon as the slightest amount of pressure starts the crumble.... so embarrassing i feel sorry for them. The talent is there... get the mentally right week in week out and we would have won by 80 +. This is not on Goodwin this is on the whole club, but manly the leadership group.

I'd have to agree, although they are only going at around 70% they are not the problem, our bottom 6 players are the worst in the league that should be addressed first... Sharp, Kolt, jeffo, should be made to earn there spot at Casey problem is who replaces them? Can't remember a Casey player in the last 3 years who actually smashed the door down with consistent good form? Our list needs fixing and the senior players need a reset.

The greatest game I've seen by a demon... and we lost, but wow I wish he could get back to that level

Agree Trac also!! gets plenty of the ball but lacks polish and they both seem to not hunt the player like they once did. Both were top 5 players in the comp destined to be greats of the game, can't believe how it's turned out....

T mac is twice the player.and was in Good form... this is just can't except from Goody

How the F did Lever take McDonald's spot when Tmac was having a ripper year??? Lever fumbles, punches the ball down to dangerous spots, and gets easily push off the ball. No way he is captain material.

And off a 6 day break he has been more than solid this year, defenitly not the problem

This is fantastic news once rubber stamped. A generation of young demons will worship this guy for the next decade.. I only hope we have a clause that incase something like Gus happens we are protected.

Good clubs would make him blow out his cobwebs at Casey, not drop a player who's arguably having an AA year to bring in a higher profile player who needs to find form.... We make some dumb decisions at selection

I think it's going to be alot tougher then people think, the Saints have some good players and being up north it really brings it closer. If we get out to anything in the way of 4 goals Ross will start flooding the defence and try get us on counter, they could pinch this game. However if we play near our best we will win I'm not fussed about percentage just want the game style to look as good as last week. Doubt we will make the 8 being effectively 3 games out

Lever needs to get thru a season without injuries and in top form first... maybe Tracc Captain, Lever and Oliver, Vice

Viney will play this week, get the next 2 wins and KB will be massive, we will still be underdogs which seems to be when we play our best.

Fair call, hopefully the can be leaned on when the time comes to get our home base finished. The only way I can see this club growing is to actually have a home we can be proud of, entice good players and play regular finals... it's hard to gain any traction when your near the bottom

So many great people at our club, some we still don't know much about... excellent article (series). To anyone with access, how do we compare to other clubs?

Cannot believe how low these people will go to get attention, Korns and Roo are washed up has beens and nothing else, how are the AFL allowing this type of media rubbish when a player is clearly battling mentally. Do they not have a duty of care and legally they are pushing a fine line
