  1. Ah. Hadn't thought of Moore. Is he better than May though? McKay did kick 4 on him. Although having said that, Greene did kick a few on May at the weekend.
  2. I still worry about his craft. He seems to misread the flight of the ball slightly quite a bit, runs under it a little and has to over-extend to fetch it. Or else the ball hits the tips of his fingers and doesn’t stick. He was great the first 2 weeks so deserves another go but he’ll struggle to keep his spot unless he consistently clunks those marks. It’ll tough again for him this week against the cats. Let’s see how he goes.
  3. Max is a very well-spoken articulate bloke. Great interviewee Other than his comments on rucking some other interesting comments he made: He thinks Langdon is ahead in the B&F voting Reckons the HUB was great for bonding and relationship building amongst the group and credits it for fostering the maturity we are now starting to see. John Longmuir had similar positive comments and how his young team were able to bond in the HUB Reckons the Weid is the best bet at the club, 40 out straight in front with a kick after the siren
  4. I'd love to see Merrett playing for us. We should go hard at him. You'd have to sacrifice Gus but i reckon but that's a price worth paying. Would have to give a pick as well most likely our first rounder (hopefully a late first rounder as top 4 finishers). Maybe some kind of a pick swap.
  5. He’ll be a beast. Was worried he may be more athlete than footballer but he’s laid those fears to rest. Quiet start to the year but has grown in confidence and was a real contributor on the weekend. Good hands. Best ruck combo in the league with Maxy. Slotted his goal nicely. Looks like we struck gold with LJ, Kozzie and Rivers. That’s the kind of drafting that premiership teams are built on.
  6. I agree. Plus Harris Andrews has had a mixed start to the year and i haven't seen any other KPD put their hand up.
  7. Unlike Trac and Clayton i haven't heard a murmur as regards him being unsettled or looking at other options. He was on the Max and Gus podcast recently. Comes across as a reserved low key fella. I don't see him leaving. I think i read Carlton paid Saad approx $650k per year for 5 years. I reckon he's worth the same.
  8. We didn’t just turn up expecting to win. GWS came out all guns blazing, tackled like tigers and were dead eye in front of goal. Sometimes you have to credit the other team. They have quality players, their 0-3 start doesn’t reflect this. That’s a game we’ve lost in the past. Twice now against the saints and GWS we’ve been challenged and twice we’ve responded. The maturity we hoped this group would display is finally apparent. Very positive development and bodes well for our Top 4 chances.
  9. Ineligible. If he maintains his current form he'll be All Australian this year.
  10. He's doing a great job for us at the moment. Loved the way he took his goal against st kilda as well. Calm and composed No way he loses his spot anytime soon p.s hopefully Coniglio recovers quickly. He has no luck with injuries.
  11. Keep winning games of footy and these contracts will take care of themselves. Collingwood hold no fear for me. Players and their managers have long memories. They saw how Treloar and Stephenson were treated during trade period. Why would you join an organisation like that?
  12. If Geelong employ the same rope a dope tactics against us we’ll win. We have a proper set-up now behind the ball so they won’t be able to counter. We cover them easily in the match-ups around the ground as well. We will need to be ready for their s**those tactics though. They will duck, dive, pinch, poke and do whatever it takes to knock us off our stride. They really are a very dislikeable team.
  13. game on
  14. I hope its a draw
  15. Spud would have been proud of that ear warmer.
  16. The wide open spaces of the G is no place to be giving Hibbo and Melks their first run-out for the year. And especially against Geelong. They need some proper practice games before i'd consider them. Unless someone is carrying a knock no changes for mine.
  17. Nah. I've been critical of TMac last season but no way he makes way for Majak. He has runs on the board from the first 2 rounds. He didn't play well yesterday but he was crowded out of it. Let's see how he goes against the Cats. Another poor showing and the Weid is waiting in the wings or BB if fit in time.
  18. If Weid is fit before BB reckon he'll replace TMac. If he takes his chance then what do you do when BB is fit? He has to play you'd reckon. Jackson's rotation with MAx is too important system wise so he can't be dropped. It might have to be Fritsch who makes way? All dependent on form. 2 spots between Weid, TMac and Fritsch.
  19. We are 3-0 so you would expect the fair-weather supporters to start to surface. The capacity is 75,000 but I doubt we will see that. 50,000 maybe. 25,000 Dees and same for Geelong?? I wonder how the memberships are tracking.
  20. bummer you need to sort out a kayo subscription for yourself

Frost to Langdon is a brilliant piece of list management. Well done recruitment team.

Salem is a very important player for us. A very reliable kick. I hope he re-signs again soon. Kelly has been in the doldrums but when playing at his best is A-Grade. I've no qualms about the trade and perfectly happy with Salem but i reckon Kelly is the better player.

Funny reading back though the thread about Frost. I loved his big heart but his defending was a liability. Our defensive unit is so much better without him. I wonder how he'll go today against Geelong. Did we turn the second rounder we got for him into Rivers? Huge win if we did.

North are a cautionary tale for any club that refuse to face reality. Hawthorn not in as bad a position but as you point out, some of their recent trading has been woeful.
  25. Nothing wrong with his game last night other than the weak effort to tackle the giants player in the back-pocket which led to a goal for them. He'll nail that tackle in future. We're fortunate to have the perfect environment for him to develop and grow. He has May, Lever and Tomlinson as the senior defenders who'll mop up or cover for a mistake. Hibberd has his work cut out trying to win his spot back from him.
