  1. No Dees fan in Perth should feel bad about their good fortune. Live it up I say. Go on a pub crawl!
  2. Looking at that interview Maxy just exudes calmness, serenity and belief. Totally unphased. I have so much confidence in him at the moment as a leader. Since kicking the winner after the siren against Geelong he's been on a mission. I think he destined for a big game tomorrow. I don't think it matters what stunt Beveridge tries to pull Maxy is primed to deliver and is my tip for the Norm Smith and to lead us to the promised land tomorrow.

True but the trade suited both parties. We needed the pick for May, we had TMac and the Weid as out KPF options and there were concerns internally with Jesse's application and lifestyle. And from Jesse's perspective he got to go home.

Contracts arenโ€™t iron clad for sure but both parties have to consent to release each other from their obligations. If one party holds firm nothing the other can legally do about it. If we decide not to trade then the player has to stay

LJ is contracted. He's going nowhere. And if Dogga reckons going home to Freo is a good idea he should have a chat to Jesse Hogan.
  6. "The decision to poach Taylor from Collingwood in December 2012 has proven a masterstroke. Ex-Demons coach and Magpies assistant Mark Neeld was the connection in the switch of clubs." The one thing we can thank Neeld for
  7. Tough on Hunt and others who miss out but what about young Jake Bowey. 6 games into his career, he has cemented his spot in the side and will run out to play in the big one tomorrow. The kid must be pinching himself.
  8. He's depth but who knows, he might do a TMac and surprise us all next year. Now if he can just stay injury free over the preseason.....
  9. I wonder if there are threads on the Carlton (Weitering), Brisbane (Schache) and Sydney (Mills) footy forums lambasting their recruiting teams for not selecting Clarry
  10. Master coach Luke Beveridge
  11. If only we could see into the future, we would never get a draft pick wrong
  12. The award is based on subjective opinion. Weโ€™ll always argue over whether the winner deserved it or not. I donโ€™t have any problem with Wines winning the medal Max, Trac and Clarry were always going to take votes of each other. From my biased perspective, Clarry is the most influential player in the league. Coaches award a far better reflection of players value over the season Surprised the umps donโ€™t seem to rate any other doggies player other than the Bont. McCrae definitely worth some votes surely. Donโ€™t know why Parish polled so well. Anytime I watched him this year his kicking was bang average. No teammates taking votes off him I suppose Awards ceremonies are as boring as. Would anyone care if the TV event was ditched and results were just announced during the week?
  13. The umps have a real hard on for the Bont
  14. I'll distract myself during the day with some work and taking the kids to the park. I'll watch the game with 4 other Demons supporters via MS Teams. We'll shout, cheer, curse, drink and celebrate/commiserate together. It's much better than watching alone
  15. Delighted no issue with Spargo. Reading through this thread has not been good for the MFCSS.
  16. I'm glad Sydney matched our bid on Callum Mills. Take about sliding doors
  17. Tom Boyd should have won it
  18. I think we will win but even if we lose Iโ€™ll be proud that at last we have a serious team. Weโ€™ve been a joke for long enough
  19. I get it Jaded. I would have loved to be at the G last weekend to witness our demolition of the Cats. What an experience that would have been! If the boys do bring the cup home i'm sure we'll have a proper celebration as soon as this goddam lockdown is lifted.
  20. Our Perth brethren aren't complaining
  21. I know its for Covid reasons this year but from next year onwards i say ditch the pre GF bye week
  22. https://www.planetfootball.com/nostalgia/remembering-lasagnagate-when-spurs-were-on-for-fourth-but-got-the-shts/
  23. Either Harmes for smothering Bailey Smith or Viney for negating Libba
  24. I've run my eye over the 2020 financials. An uplift was booked to reflect Bentleigh at market value last year. There's no provision for the future tax liability applicable to the uplift/gain in the event of disposal which means the sale is CGT exempt
