Geelong request change of venue
The cats are a bunch of insufferable whingers but asking for your home game at your home ground is hardly unreasonable

NON MFC: Rd 18 2021
They're playing like a bottom 4 side which means they'll probably beat us

Dees vs Bulldogs This Week
I'm more confident of beating the Doggies than the Suns

413 shots for 205 goals and 208 pionts
the EBA doesn't stop players from practicing in their own time. Proper professionals would do it. I reckon BB does

Goal kicking in this game is worse than last night

If there's one area we should pay someone to help with its goal kicking. Find the best coach in the business and pay them top dollar. Maybe some cash is freed up through Burgess moving on to cover the cost

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
I can't think of another AFL example of a team beating the better sides but struggling against weaker teams. Closest analogy i can think of is in soccer where every so often a team has a much better record in away games compared to home games. It's purely psychological. Less expectation away from home allows the players to play without pressure whereas at home in front of the expectant home crowd they can't get it done. We haven't learned yet to deal with favoratism and expectation. I think its all part of our journey to becoming a mature team. We've taken big strides this year but there's still a ways to go.

My 3 word player analysis V Hawthorn
Must do better

Who the hell is our goal kicking coach!?
I think we're still dealing with the legacy of recruiting contested beasts rather than footballers. Brayshaw, Viney and clayton (but he more than makes up for it around the ball) are dreadful kicks. Even Trac is a dodgy kick for goal. Spargs, salem and Melks (when in the team) are our only reliable kicks.

A very uninspiring set of fixtures today. A north win over the bombers would be funny but tbh i'm not in the humor to laugh at other clubs today given our pathetic performance last night

Ladder Watch
If past performance is any guide we'll finish 16-5-1. We'll beat Doggies, WCE and Geelong and lose to GC and the Crows

It amazes me how many people allow Dr D to drive them crazy

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
After such a bad performance where every player was well down it's hard to know where to start. I think we should bring in Melks. We need his poise and delivery. Tbh after that i think we're just re-arranging the deck chairs Coaching team to deliver some home truths this week. An attitude adjustment is the biggest change required

The trade Jack Viney thread
His disposal is a real problem but he does bring plenty of grunt. 14 contested possies and 11 tackles is still contributing He just needs to dish the ball off to easy first options. Handballs (even then he's liable to miss) and no kicking And i don't think it's fair to pick out one player and start a thread about trading them after a bad performance. Others have had poor games and patches of form so why pick on Jack?

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I thought Vanders played well in the first half. He did slow in second but he was not our worst performer of the night. I admit i did have low expectations of him coming into the game.

POSTGAME: Rd 18 vs Hawthorn
It wasn't all bad I thought Vanders played well along with Petty, Hunt, Spargs and Kozzie. Percentage is no longer a factor as we're very unlikely to finish level on points with anyone I'm thankful no crowds were allowed because i would have lost the plot if i had to bear witness to that travesty of a game

CHANGES: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We need to have a serious conversation about Jack Viney. His skills are just not good enough. He butchered every disposal tonight. I love his hardness and attack on the ball but Vanders can do that.

When i saw Clayton with the hollywood handball over his head straight to the oppostion in the first quarter i thought here we go.
