Demons Salary Cap Crunch
Why is this news. I would have thought any team that wins the premiership will have a tight cap
-
Post-premiership draft priorities
With Nev and Lockhart departing we need a small defender

Kate Roffey, the unsung hero of our success
Glen Bartlett did plenty of good work for the club but it was time for a change. Kate has been impressive whenever Iโve heard her speak and she certainly has the CV for the job But Iโm going to reserve judgment on her performance until our new home base is secured. That is ultimately why she is on the board and will ultimately be the KPI she is measured on. Now that the premiership is in the bag letโs get that home base sorted Kate. Over to you

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
Not trying to put a damper on things but there's been a lot of talk of dynasties which i think is premature and presumptuous. Not saying we canโt win more than one, far from it, but there are plenty of reasons why we might not We wonโt have the same luck with injuries Other teams will be stronger. The doggies arenโt far off, Richmond have one more crack left in the tank, even GWS if they can get their players on the park will be a threat We will be the hunted next year And most importantly, will these players be prepared to put in the hard yards again of will they be satisfied with just the one pennant. Will the hunger and desire still be there when they return for preseason? There is one big motivator that can really spur this group on next year and that is winning one in front of the faithful. Itโs been great for our Perth brethren, I couldnโt be happier for them, but Iโve felt a little removed, distant from this win. I would love to experience a grand final win and belt out A Grand Old Flag at the โG

Kozzieโs Shepherd
Hunted and harried the Dogs defenders all night. Never gave them a second's peace. He didn't have much joy with ball in hand but his defensive work was A-Grade. He's going to be better than Cyril Rioli

Operation keep Burgo
Fitness and conditioning is such an important factor in team success. I have no doubt that the health of our list and supreme fitness levels were near the top of the list of reasons why we won the flag this year Contrast this year with the debacle that was 2019 and itโs easy to see why we shelled out top dollar to secure Burgo. He was worth every cent. I wish him the best in his future endeavors and thank him for the phenomenal job he did with us

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - LUKE JACKSON
Not sure whether anyone else picked up on it but Gary Lyon made a very interesting comment in response to a question from a caller this morning. Luke Jackson's parents told Gary that Luke is very happy in Melbourne and has no intention of going back to Perth. In fact his parents said they would like to move to Melbourne! If true (and Iโve no reason to think Gary would fib about something like that) I think its fantastic news. Iโm so hoping his parents make the move.

POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
What a way to bury the curse. Shock and awe is the only way to describe the most devastating burst of goals ever seen in a grand final. This team have been magnificent. So dominant through finals. Could not be more proud Itโs been an unreal season. For me, the lockdowns were manageable because the team were doing so well and provided an outlet from the tedium and monotony. Not sure how Iโll go now that season 2021 is done but the replays and afterglow should get me through to the end of lockdown. Looking forward to Rd 1 2022. Itโll be some day at the G as Flag No 13 is unfurled

What they're saying at Whitten Oval.
I think their comments are pretty balanced overall other than a few posters getting very riled up because we played the same post game song they did after the Port game. They reckon it was disrespectful or something. They need to chill

Iโm a fellow Irishman GD. I too, go to games with Irish mates. The Irish connection is very strong with this football club and this amazing city I've called home for the last 15 years. Jimmy Stynes and Sean Wight are looking down and smiling on us tonight.- MFCSS

I love you all- GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Western Bulldogs
Half time couldn't come quick enough. Defensively at sea as soon as the ball hits the deck, beaten around the ball and the Bont showing his class. On ball brigade need to lift otherwise we're cactus. We're re-set before and can do so again. Huge third quarter coming up. We can do this - POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
