I’ve been critical of quality this year but the games between the top teams have been pretty good. The Crows and Doggies game last week was excellent and this game was very good also. Saturdays game against North should be a ripper as well. Unfortunately too much of a divide between the top and bottom teams resulting in too many uncompetitive fixtures

Sherriff for Magee If Maddy Gay is fit she should replace Jackie Parry. I know i harp on about Parry but she has offered nothing across 7 games this year

And Kate Hore. We need them both in form if we're to win this comp

Umpiring very very questionable thoughout. A phantom 50 and a rubbish free kick at the death. Thankfully didn't decide the game which would have been a shame

Superb win awful first half. slow ponderous and predictable fantastic second half. Why don't we play with that intent from the start? Harris BOG and the difference. Bannon excellent as well. Midfield unit stepped up big time Go Dees

Daisy has been very good this half. I think she needs to play defence full time

Outside of Bannon's goal its been a dismal performance. Our only hope here is if the Lions tire in the second half but even then we have to lift across the board

The season heats up from here. No more soft opponents (other than Carlton in Rd 10) Tough game. Their midweek game v the Suns was a training drill so i don't expect the 4 day turnaround to be too much of a factor tonight We'll need to play to our maximum to win. Need big games from the midfield group in particular. And I would like to see us bring Bannon into the game more. She has devastating leg speed. Some people take issue with the JJ mark and goal but was it any different to BB's mark and goal in the 3rd when he had his hands in the back of the defender before marking. I think the 2 negate each other The only obvious inconsistency i can remember was when Spargo was pinged for a high tackle on Hunter (that he scored from) however Kozzie didn't get a free in the exact same situation later in the game. I think is was Libba that tackled him As long as umpires are consistent in game i've no issues

When Colvin first came into the team she gave me heart attacks every time she was near the ball. To her credit she she has improved a lot and is now a solid dependable defender. Gillard must be the goods to take her spot in the team.

Started watching but didn't have the patience to watch the second quarter so fast forwarded to 10 mins left in the 3rd. Harmsey has just hit Fritsch on the chest to get our comeback rolling. He's not money motivated. Perhaps the offer of an inside mid spot at another club would appeal but he's worked so hard to adapt to the wing role in a premiership team. Why forego that spot? Plus leaving would spell the end of the Gus and Gawny podcast and the break-up of the greatest bromance in the AFL. Won't happen
