Uncle Colin didn't acknowledge the Queen's passing last Friday after his welcome to country. No one else seemed to notice (or didn't comment anyways) but i did. And why would he. The Crown means oppression and colonisation. Dispossession. I'm an Irish republican so I get it. We had 800 years of it. Where players decide to go once they become free agents is probably the best indicator. No trading involved just the players choice. I could be wrong but my sense is they go to clubs that are contending for flags. West Coast are a big powerful club but I doubt too many free agents will want to go there for the time being So maybe destination club = club contending for flag.
