OD you old curmudgeon. How the hell are you feeling now?

I’m a fellow Irishman GD. I too, go to games with Irish mates. The Irish connection is very strong with this football club and this amazing city I've called home for the last 15 years. Jimmy Stynes and Sean Wight are looking down and smiling on us tonight.

I love you all

GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Western Bulldogs
BDA replied to At Least I Saw a Flag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Half time couldn't come quick enough. Defensively at sea as soon as the ball hits the deck, beaten around the ball and the Bont showing his class. On ball brigade need to lift otherwise we're cactus. We're re-set before and can do so again. Huge third quarter coming up. We can do this -

nerves have kicked in well and truly. tucking into take away with a glass of shiraz (sister run, mclaren vale, i highly recommend) before jumping on a zoom with some other Dees supporters for the main event Come what may this team has done us proud all year. We'll still love them no matter what the outcome tonight Enjoy the game. See you all on the other side DLanders -
Agree 100%. It's the hope that kills you. I was so pumped heading into that season, talking up the Dees, engaging in conversations with Hawks, Cats and Pies fans as an equal for a change, all those prime time slots to look forward to. I had genuine expectations of top 4. What a soul destroying spirit crushing season. Like you say though we nailed the draft that year so every cloud has a silver lining. 2019 is a distant memory now, we're built for sustained success and even if we don't win today i'm sure we will be challenging over the next few years.

For sure you should remind her. Put that Karen in her place

Andy Lovell hit the nail on the head “Your brand stacks up boys, you just need to trust in the brand, trust in each other and you may as well go and win it, hunt ‘em to death lads. Good luck” -

GAMEDAY: Grand Final vs Western Bulldogs

Gameday. Finally Feeling calm and confident. Ever since that Rd23 comeback I’ve felt we’re destined. The boys look primed, have a laser focus. Maxy has an aura about him. He’s been a colossus for us. We are favorites and rightfully so. I have absolute faith that we will deliver a performance. I think our contest work, ferocious pressure and defensive system will win the day. The doggies have to adjust to combat us whereas we just need to play our game. All the talk of out of the box tactical moves by Beveridge betrays this fact. To all you lucky Dees fans in Perth I want you to lift the roof off Optus. Be the extra man, will our boys over the line. I predict a 35 point win, the Norm Smith for Maxy and delirious post game celebrations Go Dees -
I can’t read anymore articles or listen to any more previews. It’s all been written or said at this stage. It’s time to play but still 22 hours to go. No idea how I’m going to keep my mind occupied in the meantime

No Dees fan in Perth should feel bad about their good fortune. Live it up I say. Go on a pub crawl!

TRAINING: Friday 24th September 2021 @ Optus Stadium

Looking at that interview Maxy just exudes calmness, serenity and belief. Totally unphased. I have so much confidence in him at the moment as a leader. Since kicking the winner after the siren against Geelong he's been on a mission. I think he destined for a big game tomorrow. I don't think it matters what stunt Beveridge tries to pull Maxy is primed to deliver and is my tip for the Norm Smith and to lead us to the promised land tomorrow. -
True but the trade suited both parties. We needed the pick for May, we had TMac and the Weid as out KPF options and there were concerns internally with Jesse's application and lifestyle. And from Jesse's perspective he got to go home.
-
Contracts aren’t iron clad for sure but both parties have to consent to release each other from their obligations. If one party holds firm nothing the other can legally do about it. If we decide not to trade then the player has to stay
-
LJ is contracted. He's going nowhere. And if Dogga reckons going home to Freo is a good idea he should have a chat to Jesse Hogan.

"The decision to poach Taylor from Collingwood in December 2012 has proven a masterstroke. Ex-Demons coach and Magpies assistant Mark Neeld was the connection in the switch of clubs." The one thing we can thank Neeld for
-
Tough on Hunt and others who miss out but what about young Jake Bowey. 6 games into his career, he has cemented his spot in the side and will run out to play in the big one tomorrow. The kid must be pinching himself.
-
He's depth but who knows, he might do a TMac and surprise us all next year. Now if he can just stay injury free over the preseason.....

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
BDA replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wonder if there are threads on the Carlton (Weitering), Brisbane (Schache) and Sydney (Mills) footy forums lambasting their recruiting teams for not selecting Clarry -
Master coach Luke Beveridge

If only we could see into the future, we would never get a draft pick wrong
-
The award is based on subjective opinion. We’ll always argue over whether the winner deserved it or not. I don’t have any problem with Wines winning the medal Max, Trac and Clarry were always going to take votes of each other. From my biased perspective, Clarry is the most influential player in the league. Coaches award a far better reflection of players value over the season Surprised the umps don’t seem to rate any other doggies player other than the Bont. McCrae definitely worth some votes surely. Don’t know why Parish polled so well. Anytime I watched him this year his kicking was bang average. No teammates taking votes off him I suppose Awards ceremonies are as boring as. Would anyone care if the TV event was ditched and results were just announced during the week?

The umps have a real hard on for the Bont
