Gameplan and mindset is too conservative. We’ve got to loosen the shackles and give the players some latitude. I think we started to see it in the latter part of the year with May and Gawny (from memory) going the corridor kick but because it’s not second nature we didn’t execute well. I think we have the players to do it. Salem, Bowey, Spargs all very good users. Maybe we have more in the ranks. And maybe we have players at Casey with the attributes? We have a great development coach in Chocco so let’s focus on the skills. We need to find out because the same approach next year will deliver the same results. Strength and conditioning program needs to be thoroughly reviewed. We were so banged up at the pointy end. Our approach clearly didn’t work. Injuries are part and parcel I know but did we control the controllables well. I don’t know. Was Salem properly managed? I’m not saying we should have known these things, there are always alternative approaches, but we’ll have to assess in the cold light of day and implement changes. And freshen up the coaching team. an injection of new blood with new ideas is never a bad thing. It's no surprise to me that Collingwood are doing so well after adding Bolton and Leppitsch to their panel
  2. Freo's disposal and ball movement worse than us
  3. Pies might rue these missed chances
  4. This game is breathless. The pies going for the jugular straight from the get go. They won't die wondering I'll give them that
  5. Rage post of the year. Thanks for the chuckle P.S you forgot to mention it but I'm sure you want to burn down the G as well
  6. I think the club managed this issue as best they could but it can't have had anything other than a destabilising effect. I'm tired of it at this stage. If the kid wants to go home let him, get the best deal we can and move on
  7. The season was not a waste. And demanding flags next year is entitled childish nonsense I’m gutted that the season is ended. But not angry. The team give their all every week and have delivered a flag and a top 4 finish the last 2 seasons. I'm very thankful for that Club is in great shape overall. Quality list, core players signed up long term, good age demographic. The list isn’t perfect but is top 4 standard for the next few years without a doubt We were banged up and out of form at the pointy end. The game plan must be tweaked which I’m sure will happen over the offseason. Got to be more daring. The forward set-up isn’t working but Petty’s cameo and JVR’s potential show we have options. TMac will be back as well We'll learn and be better next season. Have some faith folks
  8. I was there. they were not louder than us. I didn't realise there was any Lions fans there at all until the 4th quarter
  9. The support was great last night I don't buy the narrative that we are a quiet fanbase. We're just as passionate and noisy as most other clubs (i acknowledge the pies fans are next level). And our cheer squad is excellent. I was close to them last night. they sang their hearts out
  10. I reckon we were still loading
  11. Last year we were able to defend leads, put the clamps on. This year the system broke. The pressure wasn't there, particularly forward pressure. And its been like that all year. Even when winning our first 10 games we were never comfortable. Mental, physical, I don't why our defensive structures failed.
  12. we are clueless going forward. Take a mark, stop, look around, chip and then bomb it into the pocket. It's third rate rubbish. We never play on, take a bounce or take the game on. No dare whatsoever. It's so hard to watch. Brains trust need to go to work in the off season . Create a plan which gives our players a chance to express their talent. there's no doubt the talent is there but out current gameplan is way past its use by date
  13. I’m gutted. Tuning out for the rest of the the weekend
