A very thoughtful and well spoken person, Trengove. His speech at the Melbourne B&F when he departed the Dees was first-class. Great to see he's had such a successful season, and is still getting joy from the game.

That is outstanding work!

1. Allan Jackovich scissor kick goal vs North Melbourne as part of the 11.8 or so he kicked that day, 2. TMac dying seconds in Perth, boot to ball in goalsquare while being tackled, 3. Whoever it was that kicked the sealer vs the Filth at Victoria Park (Lovell maybe?). I have never seen a more toothless, dim-witted, foul-mouthed, lice-riddled throng of supporters, emboldened in their antisocial behaviour by their numbers and the familiarity of their dilapidated dump of a home ground than what I witnessed that day. The only time attending an AFL game where I genuinely feared for my safety at and after the game. Edit: also happy to add Gawny's goal after the siren in round 23 this year. Won us the minor premiership, mentally shattered the cats (ref. Prelim Final), gave us our first after-the siren win in our VFL/AFL history (bear in mind Queen [censored]!ng Victoria was in the throne when the VFL started up), and slayed his own set-shot goal kicking demons.

Won't matter, GF is outside the 12 day concussion protocol. ACLs or lower-body bone breaks would do the trick.
-
That is next-level hilarious! 🤣

We are going to have to be razor sharp in a fortnight.

I seriously thought it was Toby Greene when I saw that live. I was bemused that an current AFL player of a different team would be going so bananas.
-
Beautifully spoken Max, our club is lucky to have a skipper of your calibre.

Far out you'd be a decent chance of racking those numbers up starting as medi-sub for 5 games!

That has dead-set put the icing on the cake for me. A shout out too to that mob painting their front fence. That is dedication. I love it! Contemplated doing the same when mowing the lawn this morning, but really can't afford the divorce.

He'd pat himself on the back wouldn't he? The rise began with his coaching tenure. 🤮

Going through these threads I could just cry. I can't believe this is real. Reports on 774 just now that Nathan Jones is expected to be catching a flight home to be with his pregnant wife. Sad if true as I'd love him to be there, but wish him and his family all the very best. Whether true or not, regardless, thanks Jonesey, sincerely, you've been a light in the darkness and we wouldn't be here without you. ❤️💙

On Bowey, fantastic game again by a very skilled and composed player. Books a GF appearance in what will be just his 7th game. Recall in '97 a certain Simon Goodwin won a flag in his 10th game... dare we dream? On the other end of the football ledger, the mixed emotions our warrior Nathan Jones must be feeling. 300+ games, a beacon through the bad times, wife on the other side of the country soon due soon with twins, and he's just fractionally outside selection.

Super proud of Viney's efforts last night, and stoked for him on booking a GF berth. His family and particularly father Todd must be over the moon!

186 was a special kind of horror. Years later I dug up and read through the gameday thread of that game. Macabre stuff. But while it was the low watermark, 186 was but one of so many pastings we've had at the hands of the cats over the years. After two heartbreakingly narrow losses to them in the H&A 2018 season, the 2018 Elimination Final went some way towards healing the wounds of the past, but to put them to the sword in a Prelim when their trading and list management has put them in such a precipitous position, having also beaten them first in a controlled manner early in the season, then in the soul-crushing 44-pt goal-after-the-siren rd23 bonanza, this to me consigns 186 to an historical footnote irrelevant to our current team.

How good does Saturday morning feel!?!? Stupendous performance last night by the Dees. Couldn't have happened in a better way to a more deserving opposition. 3 wins over Geelong in a season. How good is that! Doing our bit for the wider Aussie Rules community in keeping Dangerfield flagless. So good to have thrice stuck in in Isaac Smith's face that he chose the wrong destination, but so glad he did - I doubt we'd be here if he'd come to us - there's something intangible and special about what Brayshaw brings to the team, and his work on the opposite wing to Langdon has been crucial all season. Pinching myself that we're in the GF. Only happened twice before in my lifetime. This will be the first time we go in as a genuinely competitive chance. If we play to our best it will be ours. So proud of what the club has done this year. The coaching and support staff they've brought in, the performances on the field, the smooth change of President, Pert kicking sponsorship goals, stringing 9 wins on the trot to kick the season off, when with BB and Weid injured many thought we could have been 1-4 after the first 5 rounds... One more game. Give it everything!

Reverts to follow the cats. T o s s e r. How are our supposed 2018 Prelim fears looking now d!kchead???
-
F*%k me I can't wait for the podcast this week!
-
Enough time for 186???
-
Love seeing Selwood having a frustration-induced brain snap at crucial points in finals against us :-)

So nervous I could spew. Come on boys! Trac and Kozzie have done some ridiculous things - skills simply on another plane. Viney a beast. Take our chances when we have the ascendancy and we've got this!
-
How many throws from the cats there? It's not rugby!
-
Hahaha 19 page gameday thread and it's still half an hour away. Go Dees!

12 hours to go and I am $#!tting myself.
