  1. Times like these an extra $50k in the soft cap space would be handy.
  2. Gorgeous colour footage there from that era. Could have you thinking it was shot last year. How good do the guernseys look without all the sponsor logos!
  3. Great summary! Neale has 3 years on him - Trac has time on his side to be absolutely anything. A very exciting few years ahead for Trac, and I hope a few more of his team-mates take a leaf out of his book and dare to put in the work to achieve their own slice of greatness.
  4. 100% absolutely not. We're fortunate Brayshaw managed to come back from his nasty concussion a few years back. We are also paying a 3 year contract on KK who won't add to his 2 games for us in early 2019 thanks to a return of his concussion issues. Australian Rules football is a contact sport - head knocks are difficult to completely avoid, and McCartin has by all accounts been horrifically debilitated during his protracted recovery from his last head injury. For his sake, let alone ours, let us not go down this path.
  5. Rubbish. His right arm makes contact at shoulder height and the only direction it's going from there when the tacklee tries to break it is upwards.

    Delistings

I feel for Dunkley - COVID may have really screwed up his chances to hone his craft at VFL level.
  7. I've oft heard this repeated, but the first time I saw it was on these forums - do you (or anyone else) have a link to the original interview/report?
  8. That's what we want, one of our players getting wiped out slipping in their footy boots scampering across Punt Rd to drop a post-vindaloo deuce.
  9. He was sounding like being close to selection when his finger came off 2nd best against a dumbbell.
  10. I await news of our delistings with interest.
  11. Well 2020 can go and get fracked. Looking forward to an off season of hope building through trade/draft season and preseason and the likely dashing of said hope in 2021.
  12. If his body and mind are both right I'd be delighted to have him back as long as it doesn't cost us too much.
  13. Really? I'm sceptical. All he wanted while playing for us was to return to WA. Spent every off season there, bought a house there while contracted with us, friends are over there, enjoys the "lifestyle" there, etc.
  14. Jeez Sydney, I thought our "forward connection" was bad.
  15. Two forwards out for freo with Walters out too. ?
  16. Probably not on national TV. Edit: sorry, this reply was in reference to the earlier post about photocopying a bum at work!
  17. If Freo get up I hope we bring Jackson in to provide some X-factor and a foil for Weideman up forward. It'd be great too to see May play his first ever final.
  18. Spot on. This "deserve to make finals" notion is rubbish. Teams "deserve" to make finals if they are amongst the top 8 performers in terms of wins and % over the course of the season. The final 8 concept sees nearly half the teams make the finals - inevitably this will admit teams that are not top-tier in any given year. Arguments could be made for a 6-team finals system in an 18-team competition, but that's another conversation. Go Freo!
  19. The players seemed to feel that way with their muted reaction after the siren.
