Farewell Luke Jackson
If they value him that highly they'd have to be prepared to hand over a mountain of players and picks in a trade.

Low Attendance
A touch over 50k, allegedly.

De Goey is the New Story
Could end up catching a lot more than covid...

De Goey is the New Story
Quite the eyebrow-raiser that decision - perhaps a shrewd strategy to reduce his future asking price.

Steven May Suspended by the Club
Many would kill to see that cctv footage. Has the afl or the club paid for it to keep it under wraps?

In Season - Loading/Periodisation: Put your conjecture here.
I don't think the plan is to definitely drop the games here - exacerbating factors have not helped (injuries to key personnel at both ends of the ground, and both covid and flu going through the group in the leadup). It appears the question is, do you want to run out of gas on the cusp of finals, or have a mid season dip so that you can be fit and flying come Sept?

Well [censored]... in May/June too. 🤔

POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Particularly because the first half scores for/against are almost the same between the first 10 and recent 3 rounds. Almost as though we're running out of legs, which erodes our skills and pressure. 🤔 My one concern here though is our low pressure rating this year compared to last was low prior to these recent 3 rounds. My feeling in our first 10 rounds was that we were not wrecking ourselves going hell for leather, rather we were doing what needed to be done to get the wins - that may correlate with lower pressure. If this is the case though we'd really want to see it stepping up from here towards Sept.

CHANGES: Rd 15 vs Brisbane
Jeez we are looking exposed. Turner out (concussion; bad luck he looked good esp. early) - May in Rivers in for Bowey perhaps (give Bowey a little freshen up in the 2s)? MBrown out ... but for who? Loathe to throw JVR to the wolves unless he's truly ready, and Weid/MBrown probably offering similarly little currently - F it, bring JVR in. He looks hungry at Casey.

That wasn't turning off, that was running out of gas, being worked out tactically, and having no answers.

Low Attendance
Well... first he said that he couldn't perform at his best because there weren't big crowds, then seemed to belatedly clue in to his gaffe of denigrating his own supporter base, at which point he did indeed say it was cold and we were old as a means of extracting his foot from his mouth. Not his finest hour in the media!

NON-MFC: Round 13, 2022
Horne-Francis absolutely goneski for a late forearm across the face of a GWS player after a kick. Has to be weeks surely.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
True. I just don't think we're quite at break-glass-in-case-of-emergency levels yet re BBB given other personnel issues up fwd (TMac injury, Weid appearing to not meeting what the coaches are wanting from him). We're not privy to what is going on on the training track, and the coaches may also have views on what is going on further up the field as mitigating factors re BBB's recent performances. Personally I am averse to going with a small fwd line, which we've done disastrously occasionally in recent years prior to last year. I'm also not keen on seeing us do things like move a Petty or similar fwd or parachute in our ruck depth in Daw (not sure if he's even available at the moment) as a fwd. This may well change if BBB's numbers don't improve soon - I just don't think a week from the bye that such a change needs to happen.
