NON-MFC: Round 13, 2022
Horne-Francis absolutely goneski for a late forearm across the face of a GWS player after a kick. Has to be weeks surely.

TEAMS: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
True. I just don't think we're quite at break-glass-in-case-of-emergency levels yet re BBB given other personnel issues up fwd (TMac injury, Weid appearing to not meeting what the coaches are wanting from him). We're not privy to what is going on on the training track, and the coaches may also have views on what is going on further up the field as mitigating factors re BBB's recent performances. Personally I am averse to going with a small fwd line, which we've done disastrously occasionally in recent years prior to last year. I'm also not keen on seeing us do things like move a Petty or similar fwd or parachute in our ruck depth in Daw (not sure if he's even available at the moment) as a fwd. This may well change if BBB's numbers don't improve soon - I just don't think a week from the bye that such a change needs to happen.

He's our tallest KPF with performances in the bank. His retention also reflects where things appear to be at re Weideman.

NON-MFC: Round 13, 2022
Love how Dons-Blues kayo coverage starts more than half an hour before the game, whereas we're usually lucky for them to cross from another game in time for our opening bounce.

You'd think they could find an MC that understands there's an "n" in the middle of Essendon.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
Very well done by Lever to bring some Big Freeze exposure back to the airwaves with that MND - MMD angle. Loved it.

Simon Goodwin Press Conference (10/6/22)
Great work by Goody there. Loved his read between the lines comment. We can, and as far as I am concerned, if the leaker of that story was sharing our GF win celebrations in the rooms last year, they are an absolutely two-faced pathetic nacissistic egomaniacal grub.

WELCOME TO DEMONLAND: DANIEL TURNER
Absolutely fantastic - stoked to see - well done Daniel Turner and good luck! Nice change to see the happy and united team on the track after the week we've had off the field! Bring on Monday.

Steven May Suspended by the Club
I'd like to see AFL reporters be compelled to disclose which clubs they support ahead of their segments/articles (akin to finance journalism). Would put an interesting perspective on the various positions they argue for.

CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
People need to bear in mind Turner is not a green 18yo, he's 20 - that's 2 important years of physical and mental development.

He did get a mention in Max's interview just now - interesting..

Jake Melksham to miss Round 13
Instead of this community service bollocks, how about some anger management classes! Imagine being a family at a nearby table when this garbage went on. A table full of muscular blokes on the amber fluid throwing banter around is antisocial and obnoxious as it is. Let alone the escalation to a 190cm 100kg+ specimen getting decked, before the both of them scuffling, breaking fittings inside, and ending up on the street. So easily could have led to injuries to bystanders, etc. Just disgraceful, especially from senior players. How on earth was melksham not suspended for responding to words with physical assault, in public no less, and against a recently concussed player???

Are they a Pies supporter? I'd hope the club would have reached out to the venue today.

If true, to have that comment from a teammate with the premiership medallion must have seriously stung. It's not like it just came from some oppo supporter nuffie in the street.

2022 Injury List
To anyone who actually knows this stuff, is the mooted late season return prospect at all realistic with a low grade lisfranc issue supported by a plate via surgery?

Can mitch cleary get suspended for a week for that egregious misuse of the hyphen in "one-match"?- Steven May Suspended by the Club
Jeez the media will have a field day with this. Terrible undisciplined look. WTF is going on?- Melbourne Player Rankings Mid Year
Pretty fair positioning for Trac. His first two weeks were sublimely explosive but a possible knee injury and/or other niggles and illness have certainly taken away a lot of his power and explosiveness. Seems to have tied himself in some psychological knots around his set shot goal kicking too. Hoping the bye freshens him up for a strong 2nd half of the season.- POSTGAME: Rd 12 vs Sydney
Goodwin in his presser said when asked that TMac had some soreness in his foot/ankle and that he was going for scans this week. Journalist mentioned lisfranc injury but not confirmed by goody. That would be a 3 month plus recovery if true i believe, but Goodwin's mention of "going for scans" is inconsistent with the rumour that he'd already had scans and was going in for surgery. Could be a smokescreen or the rumours are misplaced - time will tell. I did get the vibe that Goodwin is expecting TMac to be out for some period though - there wasn't the usual "he'll play next week" kind of comments. If he is done for the year he'll be sorely missed going on the form of our other tall forwards. Fingers crossed it's a better outcome than that.- CHANGES: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Is there any veracity to this claim beyond a rumour from the gameday thread alleging TMac told some random spectator at the G that he was having surgery and would be out for the year? Seems an unusually detailed set of information to relay... 🤔 - Steven May Suspended by the Club
