  1. Watched 3/4 of the Vic country, Allies game. Small sample size but I wouldn’t be giving 3 first round picks for Harley Reid. Played a forward for a bit but when he did go into the middle he didn’t look as good as 3 of the Allies mids in Cleary, Mckercher and Sanders. Cleary is tied to the Swans and the other two are from Tassie but if McKercher is on the board at our first pick I’d be surprised if we didn’t grab him.
  2. Freo’s % taking a hammering. Now below the Suns on the live ladder. That’s pick 4 ladies and gentlemen.
  3. Cmon Carlton big second half please. Freo have a very tough run of games after this one- Pies, Swan, Cats and Lions. I don’t have them winning any of those if they can’t get over the Blues today.
  4. Maybe, probably depend what pick we get from Freo and how many bolters there are over the next few months. I thought Duursma was our man but the two games I’ve seen of him lately he hasn’t been amazing. But he could be gettable around Freo’s pick now. On the other hand if you put Reid in along side Trac, Clarry and Viney it would be a sight to behold
  5. They have 3 academy players currently rated in the top 10 of this years draft by ESPN. It’s starting to be a very compromised draft. Four academy players( 3 suns and 1 swan), 2 farther/son currently rated in the top 20 and two highly rated boys from Tassie.
  6. Think we will have to pay a lot more to get Suns top 10 pick. We won’t be the only ones chasing it. Pick 33 might be enough to get the above deal done and if the Suns end up with a higher draft pick then we may need to use future picks. We could also spilt picks with other clubs and increase our over points value before dealing with the Suns.

This is really snowballing, club need to be upfront with where the injury is at and why it’s taken so long for a two week injury to heal. Going by the clip above it’s hard not to assume it’s been very badly mismanaged.
  8. If a Tassie born player decides he want to play for Tasmania then I would think that a club would be very well compensated for losing the player. Tassie team will have a massive bounty of picks and future picks and Tassie players will be worth more to them than drat picks as there would be no go home factor for them to worry about. If we get 5 years out of a player and then get some very good draft picks in a compromised draft we may end up coming out well in front.

Even without the Frisch injury the hard truth at the minute is that we just aren’t good enough. We’re all been making excuses hoping that things will change for a while now but we seem unable to make the changes required to improve.

Really flat after that performance. We have no excuses. Can’t kick for goal to save our lives. Entry inside was terrible. Same old problems. I’m normally optimistic even after a loss but the penny dropped for me today, We’re not winning a flag this year😔

    Bleedin Dub @DubDee
  12. Dogs running away with it now and hurting Freo’s %

Yup we get short end of the stick again like we did with Mac Andrew. Although with hindsight I’d take JVR every day of the weeks anyways.

Perfect timing for the AFL to change the rules on Father son draftees just as the Dees have a few coming through over the next few years. Does it mean they will leave all the NSW, Queensland and Tassie clubs to still have the same access to the academy players?
  15. As things stand I’d rather we try to get the Suns pick 9 with pick 15&27
  16. Conner O Sullivan is another player that is moving up the draft boards a bit. Do you know much about him @dazzledavey36?
  17. Missed the first quarter. Thought BBB was moving very well in the second but not as well after the break. Might need another week at Casey to get his fitness levels up. Thought Jefferson looks to have put on a bit of muscle in his legs. Upper body not so much.
  18. Well that quarter was muck. Almost as bad as last quarter last night.
  19. Finally worked out how to stream from the app to my tv. 👏

Yeah I said this exact thing to my partner while Cameron was getting treated on the pitch.

Spargo didn’t do great as the sub either but I was honestly happy to see him coming on. Normally uses the footy well and is clean even in wet conditions. Not traits that you would associate with Harmes who others feel should have been the sub.

With hindsight dropping Tommo for Petty didn’t have the impact Goody must have thought it would have. But Pettys role would have changed as soon as Cameron went off. Goody clearly thought he was better suited to run with Cameron than Tommo. Whether that due to being more agile in the wet conditions or what I don’t know. Petty didn’t have a great game but he wasn’t doing the role he was selected for.

We just had no legs in the last quarter. We were the better team before then by a fair way but didn’t put it on the score board. Our goal kicking is a massive problem at the minute there’s no doubt about that. We really need to get back to our early season kicking form to have a right crack at the flag.

JJ didn’t do his cause any favours last night. Not the final nail in his coffin but I can’t see him being with us next year now.

Oliver out for another week gives Trac a great chance to pick up 3 more Brownlow votes. He has been in beast mode of late.
