Yeah I’m the same. Waiting for the offical word. But I’m feeling 10 times better than I have all day. 🤞

Yes, yes there is. 12 now we should hear something soon you would think.
  4. Last paragraph is where my head is at. Not thinking about what our flag chances are without Max. More that if he has done his ACL we will probably never see Max at the peak of his powers again. Which would be such a massive loss. I can’t speak about previous AFL players who have done their ACL in their thirties but I know from Prem league soccer very few if any of them were ever the same player again. Keane, Vidic, VVD we’re never able to regain their athletic ability to the same standard again. Hats off to all of your who are remaining positive and I am sorry to be a Debbie downer, I’ll try to be more positive with future post.

Thanks for the glimmer of hope. Hope it’s the same outcome this time. Flat as as a pancake this morning

Assume we won’t know anything until lunch time. Going to be a long morning

I Yes we will, but I’m going for a bit of encouraging news from the interviews post game. Normally they can call knee injuries very accurately with the test they do in the rooms.

    Lights out cancel the game

Really. Few players have been played to their usual standards. Brisbane have been more switched on since the first bounce. Agree we are being outplayed and no doubt Max going down has had an impact.

We clearly got ahead of ourselves before tonight. Both fans and players. I can take losing tonight at this stage, at this stage all I want is that Max isn’t gone for the season. Please please don’t be an worst case scenario

    I’m on it!!
  14. I know this draft has been mentioned as a super draft for a while now. For those that watch closely is that because of the top end talent or because the talent pool runs deep? Given our strong draft hand will be interesting to see how we play it.
  15. Lots to like about last nights game. We seem to be moving the ball quicker whenever we can and our forward line looks heaps better than it did for most of last season. We seem to have a more dynamic and flexible set up. I like other was worried about our defence with Tommo and Judd coming in. What was a concern for me pre game is now a post game highlight, Tommo played a few solid game as did Judd who looks like he could easily be a regular players this year. Was also pleased to see Chandler have a good game. Lever was great down back and in general our defence was very good. With May to come back we will be very hard to score against. As good as our forward and backline were I think the big point of difference for us this year is going to be our midfield. If possible it looks like Trac and Oliver will be even better this year. Gawn and Grundy will cause teams all sorts of problems and will get numbers of mids not rucks. Kossie looks dangerous when he’s in the guts , Viney wasn’t playing last night, Hunter and Langdon on the wings with role players like Sparrow and Harmes and we are stacked.

I fancied Carlton tonight and thought they would do well this season. Not so sure after that performance. Not so much the performance more so how they closed out the last 8/9 mins. After losing so many close games last year in the closing minutes I thought Voss would have had them super well drilled and organised how to see out a game like that. Looks like they haven’t learnt their lessons from last season.
  17. At home with some venison kranskys and beers. I have a nice drop of Japanese single malt that I may have afterwards should we win. I am considering starting to have a pre game joint. Just to see if it will calm me down a bit. Poor dogs take themselves out the back as soon as the game starts. They are never sure if I’m shouting at them or the TV.

I should have known better than to try and correct you Luci. You would think the vote must have come from St Kilda or Richmond so. The young man is clearly making an impression.

I know they can’t vote for their team but think they are allowed to vote for teammates. I remember Max voted for Fritch for Coleman a couple of years ago.

Big Maxxy must have tipped Judd Mcvee for the rising star. We clearly have big hopes for him. Excited to see if he starts round one.
  21. I’d imagine it would be difficult to play a season for a club when you have pledged your future to another club. Never really happens does it. If he did that lots of fans would be calling for him to play at Casey and give minutes to players who are sticking around.
  22. I don’t really think this is going to be about money. I trust our list management to have left enough in the budget to satisfy Kossie. The talk of him leaving came up early in last years trade period before we signed Hunter and Grundy. I’m not sure we sign the former if we don’t think we would have enough left in the kitty for Kozzie. Also Kozzie would probably double his current salary this year if he signed now. While the above article from SEN tells us nothing we don’t already know it is right about one thing and that’s the longer he doesn’t sign the more of a media circus there will be. Kossie strikes me a a person that would rather not have all that attention which leaves me very fearful that he may not be hear after this season. Hope I'm wrong.
  23. I wonder if one of the two shiny oiled machines might find themselves the sub when the season starts?! Hard to fit in 3 talls with Max and Grundy. Both can play back( though not sure JVR has trained there in preseason). Barring an injury give BBB two and half quarters and then bring on fresh legs while managing Ben. Be good for JVR chances of making an impact if he's fresher than he's opponents.
  24. Massive thank you to all our track side reporters for all your work throughout the preseason. love reading them all each week. Disco Turner seems to be one that has flown under the radar a bit. I was hoping he would kick on this year and get a run of games. Any of our track watches have an insights on him?

He may have slotted into the backline but he’s hardly playing the same role. Locking down the best small forwards in the game.
