POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
In the washup of the season, I think that one event is going to be bought up a lot. And fair enough, I think it has completely screwed Mays confidence and standing in the team. That is why he is so fumbly and the more he [censored] it up, the more pressure he is going to feel. It doesn’t take much to unsettle a team and I think this is going to haunt him for quite some time. I never would have pictured it at the time, but that was what changed the entire course of our season.

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
It’s a hard road from here. Will be lucky to go 2-2. Get to finals, sure maybe. But our game is sooo off we ain’t doing any damage. 110pts against just shows you how loose we were defensively. I just want to see one game were there is manic pressure for 4 quarters - a bit like the Tigers last night. That is how our system works and how we can really embarrass our opponents. But I think its wishful thinking.

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I was thinking that too. He has really come good. Max is getting on in age and I think that is starting to show now. I noticed a few times, when we kick it in from the square, there is always a player that gets in and stands in front of Max blocking is attempt to impact the contest. It is stuff like this that needs to be mentioned to the AFL. And what about the basket? WTF was that all about, I thought you can kick in as soon as you like.

You will be majorly disappointed.

Ever since the punch up May just doesn’t look right. Probably some sort of life karma. He is a liability and probably wont make the AA team.

POSTGAME : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
Seriously at what point is something done about it. It’s beyond a joke now. I saw a dozen throws HTB , DTB and none of them were paid. Not 1. We are not undisciplined , but the dogs seem to get the run every week without fail.

This team is ropeable. How on earth do you lose to this team. They’ll get rolled the next two games and miss finals.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
This game is not looking good for us. Yes we are in front but we are incredibly efficient in f50 which is weird and unusual for us. Dogs owned us in that Quarter. We need to tighten up defensively. We need to kick at least 2-3 goals to win this game. Dogs will come really hard this quarter.

Seriously these [censored] umpires

Not looking good. We have switched off.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
This game will come down to fitness. If we get it out to 30pts I’d expect it to be shutdown, but that is unlikely. Dogs will come out revved up.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We are seeing a different game tonight. Faster ball movement creates scoring opportunities but we are being exposed a lot on the turnover.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
This game is far from over. Harmes shocking kick resulted in a 2 goal turnaround. Seriously how do you [censored] that kick that bad.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
The main reason is that our form is not anywhere it needs to be. Our pressure has been down all season not just the last 7 weeks. Pressure the Dogs and we can beat them. if not they’ll get their handball game going and carve is up. Our forward 50 connection hasn’t been existent for the the whole year and now we are missing our two KPF and have to rely on Weid that has failed to meet any expectation in the AFL repeatedly over the last number of years. So the slow ball movement will allow Dogs to flood and Weid will have no chance. Our game plan has also been found out and the coaches have no real plan B that we have seen. They will exploit our zoning probably by tagging one of May or Lever this will lead to the predictable rebound. Both of our big men have been pretty poor since the bye and we are fumbly in the back half. English is getting better and I think will outrun Maxy. LJ is not impacting the game either. I can keep going but you get the point. yes there are positives and I do see that but am highlighting the reasons why I don’t think we can get up tonight.

GAMEDAY : Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
We are going to get a bit of reality check tonight I think. Not sure where everyone is getting their confidence from but we have played 1 great game in 7 weeks against the Lions and patches of ok against the Crows and Power. Pressure and clearance has been our vulnerability, and these are the two things you need to beat the Doggies. I hope the boys watched the Tigers last night, because that was an epic display of effort and pressure.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Everyone knows it. If he was to speak to independent experts, 9/10 would advise him to stay another 2 years at least.

I hope we have a offer from WC on the table. I’m surprised that there is no discussion of it in the media tbh.

Angus Brayshaw Re-Signs Until 2028
The other lens to this i think we cannot look past is the pressure it then puts on MFC to let LJ go in order to keep Brayshaw. Others have mentioned a conflict of interest here given it’s the same player manager and perhaps a ploy by Freo and the management company to give them some advantage in negotiations. If that was ever the case, and I wouldn’t past player managers to sink this low, I’d be absolutely filthy.

TEAMS: Rd 19 vs Western Bulldogs
I heard that JVR has been playing on May in training and May is blown away at the kids talent and brutality.

Farewell Luke Jackson
Indeed they are, but if they are gone they are not going to say so otherwise we lose all leverage. Gus won’t go to Freo as they don’t have the cap space for both. We can then upgrade his salary by another 100K over 4 years and keep him at the Dees. My guess is that the latest meeting is all just about negotiating tactics. Gus is not going to a bottom feeder club when he can play for premierships for the rest of his career. He just wants to be remunerated fairly. The interesting thing is if Brayshaw is still ‘in play’ it means that the LJ deal with Freo hasn’t been locked in.
