  1. He hasn’t shown enough for a 2nd rounder. So probably the Bombers 3rd rounder.
  2. Why is he even talking to other clubs. Is he really that interested in mediocrity.
  3. The age saying it was Angus Brayshaw.
  4. Tommo stiff. Would have loved to swing around another tall forward under the roof. We need to exploit their defense especially when we bomb it in long.
  5. Freo fans will be brutal if he doesn't live up to the hype.

It occurred to me last night. Wouldn't it be great if we played the Cats Alice Springs next year.
  7. I think we need to give Weid an opportunity to develop elsewhere. You cant just flip a switch and expect a player who has been playing all his life as a forward to suddenly become impactful in another position. Give him a pre-season in defense or as ruck relief and see how he goes. As for LJ, If what he is being offered is true, that is mammoth deal and shows how much they value him. They cannot come to us with anything less than two first rounders (one being top 5) plus a solid starting mid 20's player (doubt it will be any of their key stars though).
  8. Just watched the Goody presser. Not a great sign for BBB. I'm fearing his career maybe over sooner rather than later. It does add some context to his performances of late and his lack of impact, which has been duly noted. Appears as though he doesn't train much in shorter turnaround games, which will severely impact his movement and fitness. So its no surprise that coming off a 9 day break, he looks much much better and has a greater impact for longer. The other thing I notice is that BBB tends to have his biggest impact early on in the game, but tends to fade out, which again probably is another indication of the severity of his injury.
  9. They need to start to restock their midfield and i suspect they'll try to trade rather than develop. Sidebottom and Pendlebury are very near the ends and De Goey appears on the way out, which leaves some gaping holes. Far too much will fall on Adams and Crisp who are not elite midfielders - Daicos looks great, but he is just a kid playing off HB atm. So to me, they are probably Melbourne circa 2018 - lot of similarities: new coach, exceeding expectations etc and will need to free cap space to chase their key deficiencies in order to be a genuine premiership threat.
  10. And did Liam and Brad care to elaborate on how the pick gets done? This is just headline chasing to get my clicks and listens. It happens every year. Now the signs are not great that LJ hasnt signed yet . The same goes for Brayshaw too but its premature to announce anything, but then again the radio prey on speculation. If they go by facts, it would make for very boring listening.
  11. And our ability to do so is slipping .
  12. I don’t think it’s intentional. He is just a proud dad boasting about his son. 9/10 fathers would do this to some extent.
  13. Contrast with the talk around Cerra last year, you couldnt say Cerra to Melbourne without hearing the media saying 'not sure how it gets done because of picks required and cap space'. But crickets on LJ... annoying AF
  14. It’s a BS antiquated rule. Norf should get first access but he’ll goto an already stacked midfield.

I reckon the Cats have peaked a bit too early. They’ll still make a PF though.
  16. Not a KPF IMV.
  17. gets lost in the wash so to speak. One thing is clear, is that we have some weapons in there that are poorly utilised. If there is one thing we have to work on its our forward 50 connection. It also doesnt help when we transition the ball slowly, but i thought the speed of our ball movement was a better despite the poor efficiency (but thats why you need to train and play it a bit more as it takes time to hone in).
  18. He butchered a lot of kicks, even by his standards. Has any team ever gone 1 and 2 in the AFLCA?
  19. It was a fantastic performance, one of many more to come i hope. I am curious though, what was behind this performance because it was not expected. Tactically, i dont think there was much difference in our gamestyle from prior weeks. Was it luck, role change or a bit more effort on gameday? Whatever it was we have to make sure he continues with this as it will then take the focus of opposition coaches and give us the ability to exploit our medium and talls a bit more.
  20. Im worried about Gawn. I hope he hasnt come back too soon and its just some cobwebs. But after the replay, he was well below his average game - let alone his best.
  21. He also had Sparrow running in (square to his position) about 30m in front in a truck load of space. I know he was persecuted for the burn in the Lions game, however ill say that 99/100 forwards would have done the same thing. You could equally mount an argument that Trac should have provided the sheppard on Gardiner rather than just running off him as Fritta clearly didnt know he had someone on his heels. But i get that is probably an unpopular take on it. The one against the Cats was the poorest of all 3. That was lazy & selfish, undefendable.
  22. Would love for that to happen, but we are at the wrong end of the ladder. Unless we pull a Malthouse/Buckley or Clarkson/Mitchell move, which would be incredibly destabilising, cannot see it happening. Goodwin has another 4-5 years before he reaches the 10 year milestone, which would be the logical point of a coach change. Yze will not wait around that long unfortunately.
  23. 6 Kozzy 5 Trac 4 Viney 3 Lingers 2 BBB 1 Fritsch
  24. I’m with you. He is dead to me. 😂
  25. Tommo shouldn’t be dropped as I think Lever will miss. May >> Naughton, Tommo >> Bruce, Petty >> JUH, Rivers >> Weightman, Brayshaw >> Dunkley are probably the key defensive matchups. Just need to watch out for the Bont and Smith when they push down.
