Crowd numbers - my perspective
Yes but the counting of numbers is still viable with Membership tickets registering at the turnstile. Each person has to click the turnstile and register GO in green before they gain entrance. Think your theory is not based on the actual entrance to games no matter what style membership or cash based ticket.

VOTES: Rd 01 vs Western Bulldogs
Sorry DeeZone never spoil a good footy story with the Truth. The answer is that Kossie flies in the air at times no matter who is around or whatever suits himself and has no such effect on our play. Time for some team discipline for Kossie. Spoils his attempt at high marks nor does he spoil anything other than a marking chance for other players from our team.

Crowd numbers - my perspective
You mean the Northern side. ie MCC, Ponsford and Northern (Olympic ) Stand. The Warne Stand was known for being the Southern (or Great Southern) Stand for 80 years plus.

Crowd numbers - my perspective
Two things are wrong with your. Comment. Please don’t compare Soccer with AFL. EPL would not even take 44,000 at most grounds a start. And in another day our crowds are over 50,000plus and up to Even80,000 none of those are EPL regular figures. Except at about 3or 4 Clubs ManU Liverpool, Rangers even Newcastle get 52,000 but look at overall averages as well. Secondly your figure of 71, 000 plus members last year is not relevant for the 50,000 we have now. We generally get about 27,000 to 40,000 members and fans Yrestrday say 34,000 and we were 5th BEST last season averaging 47,000 for the MCG home games. Years ago 25,000 would be lucky for Dogs/Demons fans and it is well known Dogs fans do not support MCG games. At best MCC estimated 50,000 which really might have been possible if we had beaten Swans the previous week, BTW 48,000 was the figure for the 2023 1st round game and with our membership about 5,000 less at this stage that’s where this 44,000 sits well. I can say if Melb play the footy like they did yesterday those that don’t like ugly wins will be Back in numbers as members or fair weather patrons. Best footy since 2021 yesterday plus the thrill of Clarry back to his happy cheeky upstanding and tough footy he is a known for and is a champion at. Great crowd response and that’s what mattered IMO. Many more will evolve and understand the full magnitude of his journey too late to appreciate his effort to be ready for footy in2024. Once he steps on that oval he only knows one way and that’s why he will if he can continue on and play as well as he is able he will become even more revered and acclaimed with his present contract. Congrats to all who have been involved in the last few months it has been a mighty effort so far and looks really promising for the future as well. Naturally our window for success is along on this journey as well.

Operation get Sam Darcy
Really great piece of fantasy. Think about it !! Mo din of a champion clubman and player like Luke D is going to swap Clubs at 20 years of age. Really just because we pluck a name out of the air really have some concrete evidence how are going to persuade Dam NOW to switch. 10 for picking an iron in the fire. NOUGHT for realism and common sense.

I am not opining on Tmac vs Tommo really but merely commenting on your criticism of Tmac. I think he will be fine based on his to match form and training. Tommo was not in any way responsible for our loss but like Laurie is a whipping boy at selection. Here’s hoping for a real team effort on Sunday. Go Dees.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY
Giving up players we need is not the answer. Getting more out of the ones we have is the contract if we wish to be in the flag hunt.

MEMBERSHIP TALLY
You have to think BIG to aim there. Same with Perty. 75,000 members nearly there Flags from all teams in 4 years. Some fans don’t know how hard it is in the AFL, it is extraordinarily competitive, I hate it when some cans say we don’t get crowds. We are usually in the first half dozen each season now. MCG is a bonus for us we deserve as our home ground for money making. 50,000 plus average was a dream a decade ago.

Geelong Sets Sights on Oliver
Well I feel very upset when our champion is not supported from one of our loyal fans. Let’s not take our premiership heroes lightly. We still have a potentially good list and some young talent ready to shine. Sometimes some comments in D/L are crazy and I feel obligated to respond. Not always a considered response. Apologies Smokey if I have offended you.

Harrison Petty
Another negative post from afar. Do you ever really see the real footy news. Just like bleating from the bleaches your comments. What rubbish do you read in your part world?? Last centuries fish and chip wrappings? Totally wrong Harry is a fine young KP player albeit injury prone. Watch our forward line transform when he gets back in next week. We cannot afford to lose Harry unless we get 2 first round draft picks in the higher range.

She is simply asking for us to cheer louder and encourage more. The louder we are the better the team will respond. It’s your choice !! Get louder it’s up to us the fans to encourage more by our voices not silent barracking. Ita an opportunity to let your feelings go each week and scream and shout our team to a win. Try it it’s not that hard.

Not so in my book. Salo has been training in the middle with the intention of assisting our disposal. It was also in relation to possibility of Clarry not being available early doors. To abandon our mids so early despite Gus and Bowsa is reverting backwards iMO. I worried who is going to play on JUH. No one stands out to me maybe Marty first off the pack. And also Weightman. That’s why our mids need to be on their game and reduce the pressure on our defence which was under siege in the last quarter vs Sydney.

“Switching”
I think it’s our mentality and bad decisions with the ball we have no ingrained plan that dominates or we go to under pressure. That why we are never a good chance to get a last goal in the minute and a half in the Semi last year. Not either trained to do it or are not good at it. I would have placed Kossie in the centre in that last bounce as he is the one who gains space on his opponents to do a long kick to the danger area. There is so much of previous success patterns still being trotted out it’s so disappointing and frightening. And to be honest what has happened to the Carlton practice round style, disappeared under pressure it looks like. no new Mini discernible patches in style to add a layer to our style either. And Stafford clueless it appears although the track watchers sometimes see some training type of plan that is different but never surfaces in a match. About time we got an outsider to do our forward and ruck game plans.

TRAINING: Monday 11th March 2024
Agree never been potted and have had no reason to. Also most players should get a second chance because of the humidity and slippery ball. Except that Spargs Chin Bill and Jibba (JBIllings) are all a bit alike and can’t fit too many in the one team. Chin needs a Casey recall and Spargs fitness is under question . Billing’s and Bill for mine and zkosdie and Petty or if not passed fit Fullarton.
