  1. 12 days is Sun to Thursday I believe!
  2. Neither you DS or Ages understand the Finals situation. All you need is about the same amount of time (11 days in our case or 12 the Pies)and it's not the Swans we are playing in the first game it's the Pies so no worries.
  3. But that will be at a different time say 2 hours in advance with Res seat being available then GA won't it SA.
  4. CHF As I said we don't really know what Brody is thinking but you gave your opinion and I am giving mine. Despite no exact knowledge either way but you are convinced he will stay. But that is your opinion! I am allowed mine and I believe that my opinion is perhaps more likely to be the case than yours. Thats if you look at it as a pure football sense from Brodie's angle. No doubt it has been good for Maxy as he is fresher this year. But he is not injured like last year so kudos to Brody here. We will just have to wait and see how itv turns out, till draft time possibly.
  5. CHF The evidence is that he will want to be at a Club where he is a No 1 Ruck. And Port Cats and Swans are in the market. You or I don't really know how Brody feels at the moment after this season so far. One injury and he could be first selected and BOG winning a Norm Smith Medal plus an individual medal as well. I hope he does get what he wants either way next season snd that he has a chance of winning a flag this year. We shall have to wait snd see.
  6. Is it really 26 the losing streak as this week North lost it's 20 th game In a row and this is supposed to be a record. Any chance you Can confirm this record please either way? Thanks
  7. Unless we play Pies maybe?
  8. Yes no pecking order first come first served!
  9. Sorry DD the most important factor (in the next 4/5 matches) in Maxies career is that he has his mind and body clear snd uncluttered around the playing side of things. That's what Goody has been trying to do all year snd given both champs their opportunities to impress in the ruck and up forward. It is vitally important that Maxy feels great about himself and if it's at all needed we can call Brody up if the SC snd Coach believe our team will be better or need the pairing in a horses for courses selection option. We all await the next few weeks with baited breath and huge excitement for the climax in late September and if our 14th Flag is part of that it will be one of our very fine triumphs, if not our finest probably since the 1948 replay which was a bonus in our expectations of those days.
  10. Please explain why? Evidence appears that it's more likely he will move and we will assist. We can't afford to have a $650,000 senior playing about the equivalent of 6/7 AFL games in 22 Rounds. Brody has assisted in the ruck and at times has produced some helpful quarters and was stoic in Max's injury period. I think Flynn or Fullarton or even Chol plus Verran later in the year May be suitable for chop out duties of games of 30%. Importantly all can play and rest up forward. It's a tricky one as we could still get caught short if Maxy had a serious injury or suddenly slowed down ( hard to imagine). Most of all these options would probably cost us somewhere between $200/250, 000 per year at this stage of their careers. I do however acknowledge that Max and nearly all our list available are a much more fitter and formidable a combination than our team going into Finals compared to 2022. Just about the 26 or so named for the Round 24 it really is about all our best players in 2023 save for Harry Petty.snd Hibbo. It has the look of covering all bases and should a forward such as JVR or Tmac or say Melky, Smithy or Fritta and also Kossie or Trac have a day out our X factor could be explosive if we fire on all cylinders. Also the backline has options like Joel Smith Tommo and another interceptor in Disco and KP potential in Tmac to plug a gap or quell a forward in full flight. Just a thought on Maysie maybe he will be missing on Sunday and Tommo is FB and Disco the third defender or Smithy maybe. If that happens then it's not very discrete of Our great FB to telegraph even a hint at this hour is it! Maybe my mind is too active. Time for some rest for the body and brain. Last Comment! Time to flex our muscles on Sunday Dees and put the rest of the teams on notice and bring a little bit of our best.against a well performed opponent but albeit against teams around its 5/12 level.
  11. This is as a result of the $30 GF Guarantee ( Priority 3) Drive I believe. The $30 is membership it seems being included as about 1,000 appear to have been added. At this rate we may achieve 70,000.
  12. Yes it's priority 3 NOT Priority 1.Big difference.
  13. We simply need another youngster on top of JVR Jefferson and Fritta and for Petty to play a key position or forward pocket role. Georgiadies being a left footer strong mark good lead (and not an iffy kick IMO, please give points scored with his 60 odd goals ). and contributes in a different way to Fritta and JVR. Also I believe MJ could early in his career take a flank with his skill plus mobility and cleverness. Kossie ANB Chin and Spargs/ Laurie would all be in the forward mix. Of course it's about team play but all players have enough skill to Play a role next season early or late.
  14. Did they say that or has it been public news with some reliability. Just because there was a questionable item about him not wanting to go West is not enough to say they are not picking him.
  15. All clubs figures are inflated why pick out us when all are playing the same Clubs but don't draw the crowds we do at the G or in marquee games. It's a fact we draw more fans to our games than Marvel tenants and most of the interstate home teams games in a two city team town. . Perth are best the Optus Stadium rarely has figures below 40,000 for WC and 30,000 for Freo while Crows and Power also have above 30,000 every home game at Adelaide Oval. Naturally their away crowds reduce accordingly interstate. It is a fact that we have very strong average support from our members as a% of total membership and our figures are growing each year we are providing great value at both home and away. We may not ever be in the "big 4/5 Vic Clubs"but we are pushing our position in the AFL in both on and off the field. Some of our supporters here on D/L should start to acknowledge we are in the top half of the financial Clubs and in the top 6 for crowds, coming off a low 5 decades of inconsistent and generally poor results. Another 5 years of great results and a flag or two would be a further fillip for our development and as posted earlier the signs of children and families over a generation could well set us up to ensure our supporter base remains strong no matter what, pandemic or poorer results in a season occasionally. Gary Pert deserves tremendous credit for his positive thinking and leadership and there should be no naysayers now on his CEO status no matter his past or not. Credit where credit is due to all the admin snd Board for their sterling work and guidance of our Club. Just to please the restless natives this is despite no Training /Admin Centre as yet.
  16. The Alice game is not counted in the figures for the MCG. That was the Plan and I have an inkling that neither the Other home games for Teams Pies tigers and Hawks ie their home games on our figures. After last Sunday we had 10 home games at the G and averaged 48,786 that means 487,786 fans attended. The disappointing 50,000 vs Carlton after we lost 2 games in a row and they had lost multiple games cost us the 50,000 average I believe. Ie 63,000 about 13,000 short just stopped us reaching our goal. But we will have overall a total of over 900,000 after Sunday's sellout at the SCG. Without the two big fixtures of KB and Anzac Eve hopefully home games vs Essendon Saints and Geelong plus Adelaide again in an earlier season fixture might make up the difference. We of course may be scheduled one or two home games vs Pies Blues and Tigers just not the marquee dates. We will set this as a benchmark and then hopefully move that figure up in ensuing years.
  17. Depends on who we are playing. if Lions Port Blues we use Clash jumper. No problems if we face Pies Saints Swans Giants and white shorts also.
  18. We have JVR for very good competitive ruck relief
  19. Depends on where we sit with Georgiadies want him or not?
  20. You forgot Jefferson and Petty
  21. I think Hibbo is under concussion protocols for this week so isn't available.
  22. Yes that was an over the top estimate in my brain adding on away totals to our home figures. SCG last year had 44/45,000 when Pies played in Round 22 and prelim Final. SO maybe the total may be any where up to to 910,000. If it's that then our average crowd is only 10,000 below 40,000. If we play Pies in QF we will nearly// just be over / the million mark. Heady days !!!
  23. Actually it was 39,350 at Marvel but was also called a bumper crowd by the Age reporter. Yes we have an advantage as we can attract larger totals of our own and opposition fans as the MCG takes bigger crowds. But remember Carlton have had Marvel games with between 45,000 plus to about 39/40,000 for Saints Dogs Lions and Swans in their early run of wins. So Pies like Tigers and Hawks and ourselves do not go to Marvel as much. Understandable but I like Marvel because of the indoors and consequent speed on the game. Those who claim our figures are bumped up by opposition fans forget it happens to all sides. Thrte is no doubt we are starting to get more fans families and kids to games and if we can continue making the Top4 for the next 3/4 years and get a flag or two we will start to make some ground and May get a million Home and Away fans eventually. This year is about 930,000 plus so not far off. Great response by Dees fans overall.
