  1. How many others are on our list that don’t have the drive. Please name names?
  2. Why oh why do D/ers not understand that at this stage no proposal is completed to be refused overlooked or written off. our Caulfield project is far from finalised so a specific authorised application has not been refused. The stakeholders are not ready yet but it is gaining momentum and priority. Some D/Lers post negative comments about our Club when we don’t hold the strings this stage. Another virtually says we don’t fill out forms of application for funding and other Clubs are great at it. Well that's because the Cats for example have a ground and it is easy to make a specific grandstand application for funding. By six time over they are good. No plan including our training facility is near finalisation so hold the horses till it is. Or let’s get into our Club and make them the whipping boys again. Oh and the post about the Lexus Centre location not being chosen was and it is well known a walk up case of no money to put in. Joe G had just saved us from merging/ possible extinction but still it’s used again incorrectly as an opportunity missed with no mention of the fact that the funds were not available at the time in our finances. It’s all about timing and one must have some cash to spend on such a development I repeat. This may be the final option for inner city land suitable and it’s no good spoiling the facility after this length of time due to overdue haste.
  3. Name more than a handful Roost it ( that’s plus 5) please that were “passengers “ vs Port. To help some who were not great contributors Jibba Kossie JVR was ok and did the ruck admittedly ok but no goals, Salo quiet for himself. Woe good in about 20 mins cameo. All our defenders did their job Forwards and on ballers did valuable roles IMO. Who else RIF ?
  4. LITB You have hit the answer right there if you leave Petty at FF. Why move him for Tmac or Tommo or Schache. He will kick goals very soon as he is too good a player not too. Only move him back for any cameos or if either May or lever are missed greatly. Also Disco is available next round for Casey return. If it ain’t broke don’t try and fix it.
  5. Salo has class and is underrated by the opposition. Even the great Clarry is perpetually underestimated by opposition supporters. We have many at the moment who are becoming really more resilient and reliable from week to week.
  6. Let’s not hide the fact that once Reid was gone our target was Windsor. Yes it was “needs” based but he was and is now showing every inch a No 7 pick in any AFL draft. His upside is huge and another great first round JT pick. Go the Duke.
  7. Too late it’s the goal of the year this week Caleb is in. Vote for the Duke.
  8. Genuine star material 250 games and possible Captain in the 2030‘s.
  9. You have a very short memory Billing’s 20 possessions and good form vs Fogs and Hawks plus good disposal. No won’t be dropped.
  10. He kicked four goals this last week! You may need to eat your hat if he gets a chance.
  11. To be fair team rules are assumed to apply to all players. I think we are doing it brilliantly and laud Kossie for his shepherd of the Dukes goal. Great team play.
  12. “Sometimes” really it’s mostly in a pack of about 5/6 and he has not taken these screamers in 2/3 years. It’s not about Kossie flying 1:1 he is a brilliant mark on those occasions. Kossie is our best X factor and most capable player to pull off an unusually brilliant piece of play and that’s why every Dees fan loves him. But high marking in a pack is not his forte and he should be crumbing at the foot or behind the packs. Great praise for Kossie for his shepherd of The Dukes first goal. Great team play like Maxy with another shepherd for another goal. Our team play and selflessness is approaching our 2021 team play standards. This will enable us to keep up in the Top4 all year.
  13. But he hasn’t taken one screamer in 2/3 years. ( ever) and already tries to snap goals when others have to centre the ball and do the team thing. Understand he has an ability above others but team rules still need to apply to all otherwise there will be occasions when we lose or are burned by selfishness.
  14. Will They???? Tex Walker is due to miss through injury.
  15. He should be crumbing not attempting MOTY !!
  16. I agree that JVR has some technical flaws when attempting marks. That is why he gets his hands on or near to the ball and doesn’t complete the mark. The other fault (I believe) is that JVR is flying from the rear ( or behind) often too far back although he can jump prodigiously. Believe he would complete more marks if in front and even more if he leads like he did in the last quarter vs Dogs when Trac hit him up beautifully from the centre break. No one will ever stop that.
  17. Kiddy means Kossie !!
  18. Kiddy doesn’t need any specs high mark training at all. He just needs to be banned from trying ridiculously for overhead marks in general.
  19. Caleb runs so gracefully smoothly and effortlessly he will leave a legacy also from his career. The greatness in his run in none or heavy traffic is the end result goal usually through the absolute middle, or his short pass and his long beautiful torpedo floating with speed through the air to our advantage. He is a craftsman of a high order on the footy field. Magnificent to watch and we are the lucky ones with 250 games ahead to enjoy. Let’s not forget our other first year star in Blake Howes. Again he is so clean and. Never hurried and disposes do stylishly and accurately with the footy from the back. Easy on the eye just as Juddy and Bowser four stars with very good disposal to assist our forwards and mids keep the ball in our hands at long last.
  20. No we have May Lever Tmac and Hore or Petty. Four of those have played in a premiership team and 2 are All Australian. I’ll take them any day before Pierce who is a good player in his own right but not as decorated as our elite team defence.
  21. Glad to hear of our very promising response after last week. I posted last week that the over the top criticism of many D/Lers of the first round defeat did not reflect the state of our depth and this effort has shown a truer reflection of our young and developing group. Great to hear of Kolt Kynan AMW Matty J Jed Adams Fullarton Verrall and Sestan showing some real promise of their ability. Well done on todays effort all concerned.
  22. We played Essendon on the Sat last year and lost.
  23. Who says Harry or JVR can’t play CHF as well as FF. Your post is confusing and overlooks the fact that I’m ONE year we won a flag. Our response has been disappointing but this year we hope to have all forward players fit and available for a serious tilt.
  24. No you say we will Roost it. HP may not be of that opinion if things keep going and the Crows continue in free fall till the season’s end. They look as far away from a flag and Nicks is beside himself with no obvious method to get his squad out of its malaise. And they are not only one players short but about 5 when Tex Sloane Crouch are over the hill.
