Not even a contest We are talking about a small defenders spot not an interceptor like Jake which Hore is mainly like for like. JAy is progressing nicely and live his Never Say Die attack on the ball and pace and aggression and line breaks We need that in our defence. Winder if he could play as a winger also go give us versatility? Hore not quick enough fir smalls and heavy enough for big talls Maybe a third or intercepting defender (when Jake out injured) but think Rivers will covet that spot by seasons end.

I agree if we haven't any one else in mind, Is totally an outside mid long raking kick can pass and a pretty good mark. Always impressed me when he started at Lions and when he exited they lost some run. Look at his metres gained and score involvements as pace and aggression would suit our other wing. Halve the salary and maybe a bonus or two if he succeeds which I have no doubt if he was serious he would. Only NO if investigations say VERY DAMAGED GOODS as sometimes you have to back in your cultures and stage of windows your at. If not Maybe look at one of Tigers superfluous runners!
  4. BW why you are saying is true but what ai an saying that Fritta must start being smarter Surely every time he misses a relatively easy set shot it must sap his confidence. He is a great mark but we should be getting 2/3/4 even a 5 goal haul on his marks etc. Sharpening up his running for snap shots like the one vs Pies should be easy Ashe is highly skilled. A Dees supporter said yo me last week he thinks Fritta is a bit "soft" and I agree really that he is not assertive grouch in general play snd tjis is because he is nit strong or powerful enough. Our coaches will suddenly lose patience if they don't get to him. Your comment that 1-2 shots don't make a difference I believe that in Sst it was 3/4 snd that goes make a difference. I honestly believe Bayley could be a 40 plus goal kicker white easily dirt of half Gunstan snd other half Bruest. Tnis is his third season and if we are to get to the challenging fir a flag Bayley is one who has the ability to lift his standards by a big margin.
  5. While I think Bont and Wallis were elite ( no Tagger snd Poor defensive one on Ones mainly ) and largely contributed to the Digs win we had Bayley Fritsch have a number of opportunities to be BOG. Again his goal kicking accuracy from average difficulty AFL shots even allowing fir the breeze was very disappointing. His panic attempt at kicking the third quarter goal on the run ( surely could have run further ) a bad skill error. Snd his tackling ( tries hard but his body strength fails him rather than technique) is below par. BUT As we know he can mark and create more opportunities than any other forward. He leads well BUT why o why so deep to the boundary in the pockets???? Wallis hit his 4 goals from 40 m out in a small arc and never looked like missing from about the same no of shots. SO what is our forward Coach trying to improve Bayley's footy ? Clearly he has above average skills but he is negating these with dumb and disappointing errors in his game. We are getting only 2 at most goals ( some time only one) from 4/5/ or 6 Shots each game at conversion. ( BTW What a shocker shot from Melky fir a point also coach killing error not befitting him ) in the second quarter.!!) SO Fritta needs to work on his game to be an A grader in out firward setup ( say like Breust is/was to the Hawks. He needs to lead straighter got over his point kicking and put in some weight/ muscle to be even better in one on ones and for defensive pressure ie tackling! PLEASE BOB no he is best up forward but we can't afford his skill ratio of lower than 50 % in most categories!!! He is no better now than last year but his conversion and tactics are holding back his devroplment to a very good player who can win games fir us. Just seems as though everyone inc himself are satisfied with his out put and don't want him to improve WHILE we are losing out big time as a result! Goody etc What are you going to do? Urgently please?????

No Tommy is getting better each week. Last Sat vs Pies was two clunksaway from a 3 goal gsme as well as handy ruck back up with some physicality and round the ground assistance. Pruessy has to be No 1 if he plays and that's fine fir tomorrow. Tommy needs the run fitness and is handy in key positions and on the ball.
  11. No we should only trade players not needed this year and be very selective. The Petty's Gus and like are NOT FOR TRADE as we complete the jigsaw towards a list that will challenge for the next 5 years. No mids at this stage are tradable and KP players forward or back should be on OUR radar to assist strengthen our line up. An elite Runner like Stephenson makes sense and Polec on the cheap might be possible but I feel he has lost traction at Notth because if his lack of physicality. Goody wouldn't tolerate that I suspect. Interesting stage of 2020 as we build and who knows what the real situation Re recruits may be at the end of October!!
  12. Sorry BW but overrrating him and his tenure. Gus Fritta Kossie Rivers Hibbo Melky Spargo and Jones all are entitled to be on our list now and mostly except Jonesy and maybe Hibbo for 2021. Zac Williams better option and our run and carry as a team is improving by the game.
  13. AGL don't want ball ups!!!!
  14. See my comment TRY him as a forward as I don't think he will be if use as a defender snd firward play is a chance.
  15. Bit harsh on the smalls Lockhart and Kossie plus Spargo and Bedford are work in progress but very promising and near enough to role playing and performing. Also Jacko will fill in as ruck mid or forward And be of value. This time next year all should be in our best 30 if not now! Rivers is only half a season away from getting HB fir the next decade also and sadly Jets has no pace now. Aldo Preuess also showed his value last week and is AFL standard. We red another KPF Petty might be that or CHB/FB and a Dane Rampe/ Zac Williams type snd snorber outsider it Tom Papley. Even so all teams have gaps and it's the team Play in the end that will flourish and succeed under pressure.
  16. Really The sample was so few with Kenty he was injury prone And a good decision fir him to move on and is going well at Saints.99
  17. How dare you miss Flash Davey one of our very best indigenous stars !

Agree that Robbie is elite but have no doubt if Trac Clarry or Gawny andone or two others play in our next flag they will go to another level of favouritism. All 3 are starting to put together a cv which if mirrored over the next 5/6 years and a flag or two will trump IMO any player of the last 50 years in history and achievement.
  19. Smith YES but not Josh isn't a Lockhart replacement not fast or skilful enough fir minding smalls. Jets possibly Harmes Salem Jordan or even Sparrow would be my choice. These scratch matches fir the Leftovers should be used fir experimenting nes spots similar to Tigers discovering Shai Bolton as an onballer. Experiments I would like to see are: Smith to forward line Hunt as an on baller as his kicking is long snd direct and even Bton just explodes for distance not linking a player! Corey Wagner as small defender Chandler has been given run in backline maybe Bedford also. Its a waste of time if you are going to delist without trying a player in a different position!
  20. While Dan should shoulder ( and I believe will when the enquiry is finished) due to the quarantine outbreak ( guilty of not checking the success etc after a few days ) not of the choice. So is Gladys B ( as is Brad Hazzard) responsible for the Ruby Princess debacle. She has apologised without testing real blame I feel snd could have sacked ( or asked Brad to resign) Brad. AND SCOMO ie responsible fir the Aged Care tragedy. Where is the plan? Says there is one! If There is one lets see it? Oh and if it does exist IT HAS FAILED under any situation in NSW and VIC.He did a general apology but didn't take responsibility really.

The next Melb premiership team will be the best Demons for 50 plus years Yes we should laud and remember our champions but that next flag 22 will all be immortals along with the Coach.

If Melky was going to be dropped it would have been earlier in year Now that he hit his top form last week why would it even be considered. Besides he is one of Goody's faves!!!
