Players are confused bewildered and hesitant about how to operate a forward line and have been for 3 years trying to win games that are being saved with no real system to fall back on. Basically all natural instincts at times are the best moves like Kossies but so few forwards are in the right frame of mind to let that happen. Time for Stafford to go and Goody to alter his mantra or we will slowly wither our young players with fear even more than now. We are afraid to take the game on for fear of losing it!!

Trac is going through a tough time and his family have ( in supportive ways as his ethnics would demand) are having to deal with a very sad and long recovery from a dangerous accident on the field. Clarry is really struggling fitness wise but trying to be the best he can at this stage of the season. A forward pocket /half forward flank with cameo role on the ball is what Goody should do on the field to make best use of his ability at this stage for the team and himself. You are not understanding the difference of what other Clubs are looking for. I love Christian and he is so dilky skilled but he is not going to attract trade bdd as it with his. Injury record at his age. He is one of our heart and soul players and truly loves the Dees. But Bowey for eg would be a better pick up for a Club due to his age and career life, I wasn’t being him disrespectful to Salo but circumstances change needs

Really El Diablo you have really just rattled on tracing over all that led to Jacko leaving us. Seriously nothing you have said has made the Jacko situation any different to how it occurred. You don’t appear to have it correctly any way. The fact was that when Jacko accepted a ONE year extend he refused a two year offer. The world knows that and many Dees fans thought this as a possible Red flag then. Fact proved. Secondly he was not interested in leaving in 2022 after the Flag as he had signed for the extra year. He was never interested in West Coast so matter closed. Dribble talk now really. So your post about this Jacko leave 2 years on is nothing new and repetitive. Of course we miss him now that he as we all knew would be a very good to great player but your repost is basically irrelevant about then and now.

I am only suggesting now that he is totally exhausted and tired Goody should be looking to get more out of him rather than play him as much on the ball. Post him at half forward or pocket and run him on brief cameos on the ball to get a full game out of him. Next year should after a full pre season should be different hopefully for Clarry.

That’s your assessment of the situation based on what, The bonus contracts that have secured most of our stars and players recently. You are stating we have very limited left now to pay any new players say next year or can’t recruit an A grade mid next season. How many of our players are not going to be retained or are to retire ? Others to be delisted ? AND extra in the total to pay is how much.? Also most of our players are retained and Angus payment is not affecting our Cash for playing players. We have not found this situation before and it isn’t likely that it’s the case. It’s just your opinion on the list payment situation. Id be interested in sny other D/Lers opinion on this matter as I believe we are mostly very balanced in this aspect of the Club. Opinions??

Really Thsts what’s required whether it’s Goody infuced( which Ivfear won’t happen) or selected assistants that power the arguments for necessary and positive moves in game plans, recruiting certain types for a new game plan and making the Club look invigorated. And futuristic to today’s football. We are in a rut. Mini can’t change anything majorly if Stafford ( how can he survive again please no move him on). At this stage WCW is rolling her eyes and saying how disloyal.! BUT footy clubs have to evolve and new personnel are essential. Our game plan is still defence and contest but offence and challenge need to be added. If the forces that set the FD and Coach don’t realise this ( with JT and TL) recruiting along skill and running advantages we will not make pace and simply drop each year yo the bottom again Snd heaven help us if thst happens. Look at the topic on where were you and see the sample of priorities of at least 10,000 fans from 6 weeks ago when we had 32,000 vs the Coasters, . Down to 16/17,000 in a month. If that’s sticking as a fan through thick and thin then please don’t sign up and desert the Club because of a 92 pt thrashing after 7 years from 2017 where increases and due to our 2021 flag many new members. Can I suggest that parents generally don’t abandon their child’s sport each week unless it’s a real drama to continue. No it’s not all parents etc but some other fans as well who have obviously cruised with the good times and success we only dreamed of and after a couple of shockers ( don’t worry about 3 games decided by less than a goal to the 2nd, Fourth and Fifth teams that we were brave and just don’t take our chances. Our forwards don’t know how to win close games as the brain is not non change from defence to attack. It has not helped that Trac Clarry and Gawny have not been available or this season not fit enough to have a major influence on the play. Goody again could use Clarry more up forward cut out the gut running with very limited bursts on the ball. Give Laurie and Kynan an opportunity. McVee also. Will Spsrrow be any better for at last being dropped? Let’s see. i did about 2 mths ago that Goody needed to be creative but look at his abysmal Sub selections and minimal usage. Really Disco a sub? Yes if he gets a half up forward or down back but not a 10 minute lick of the ice cream when it’s far too late!! So the Club have got to move heaven and earth to move on from 2021 no matter how we feel. Thats why in 2/3 short years the Tigers have degenerated so quickly. Felt that 2017 was going to kick in again in 2021/2 and3. CHANGE that word and Goody will need to if not in 12 mths we will not have breathed a new style or outlook so necessary to 2024/5 success . the longer its delayed the harder for the Club in the long run and our last decade of progress will be under serious threat at this time. Sorry to be so Goody oriented but it is the major issue in change and the Board are unlike y to make a major move in view of his success. Chris Scott finally worked out about change and hit a flag. Cats fans should be grateful that after 7/8 years he did. We need much more immediate impact now either in house or starting from the fence to the backyard. It’s not saying failure but just evolving in time that change is necessary. Accepting it is hard but totally necessary to have the effect on our next 4/5 years if we are to utilise all our long term stars extensions.

This half back fiasco is not our real problem . Our defence can change a game style with running half backs etc. Its our forward line and game.plan and personnel. . Why do other teams have automatic connection and we make it look like it’s an early 30’s tram.

Salo has no real equity for a trade as he is a Demon also to his bootstraps.

Try him up forward as a floating player in the half forward/ forward pocket mould. That puts Billing’s out of a job and a goal scorer is added with experience.

Not a mention of the ace in the pack up forward Matty J. Really he is the big hope to add another big potential marking ( and ground) player. He could easily hit the ground running and be a complete surprise packet because his forward instincts look sharp and natural. Maybe a Membrey or Wright or a much more forward Kenterfield could surprise,

Too early by far no need for this 3 or more matches. Let him get physical fit with issues like his heart or we will have two Club greats still on the comeback trail for 2025. PS Same as for Clarry it’s best if he is happy etc then he will play better.

Gawny you are way out of line with the Kalani comment. Have you ever seen him play? Is he an arch type ruck or he could be as indicated a CHB or even a forward. I am thinking Sam Darcy in development and readiness. You can’t BTW suddenly get an 18 yo to play as a 24/5 year old but some players are ready for AFL more than others. I have the impression that Kalani is a Sam Darcy big kid type with huge natural ability. No waiting till 2028/30 for his maturity to affect our team. H

Agree we need a completely different approach and look. That’s why Goody is under the hammer because he won’t. Change his philosophy. As one poster said in another topic Goody will cost us prime time and dollars with our dour brand of footy. The amazing thing about this is our 21 Flag ended up being any thing but really dour once we broke free. Bang Bang Bang is as far way if we keep playing the same style.

Nothing is going to happen if we don’t put some energy and enterprise in either way. You seem too exhausted to be worried and Thsts not going to solve the situation. New coach new approach and every one is on their toes and up and about. There is a need for this to happen a new broom to sweep some old and overused plans. Just read Jeff’s advice on his footy and from now on his rep stuff. It’s always QLD up till now but should broaden from now on.

Jeffo when he arrives won’t be bench he will be a gun as good as if not better than Fritta who may go to another level with Jeffo around him.
