  1. Surely there is a need to go through each trade swap to see if this sweeping statement is true. Anyone have the info to test this comment? The mere fact that our swaps have also enabled us to improve our draft picks positions while they picked up their GC Academy boys does not necessarily mean a loss vs them in value.
  2. I think he is a little further ahead in his first year than your Bluebagger flushed eyes have judged. Consistency is one if his form lines already. You may be surprised but I hope he moves into the centre position this year to maximise his skills and elite disposal plus his potential to kick vital goals in general play.
  3. Yes I think there is a resemblance of some sort. It is hard to exactly pinpoint but both look effortless and move atop of the ground and have similar kicking skills on both sides of their feet.

You make some outlandish statements RIF He has a good profile for no AFL games so far and is very versatile in ruck back or forward. Probably equivalent or ahead of Jeffo in experience. Good size also. Hope we can lure him for next year.
  5. Not sure you are serious either. D/land is degenerating fast in the news etc always criticising Other websites. To get basic info you need to read afl and Melb websites.
  6. We didn’t play Saints at Marvel in 2024 was in 2023.
  7. Trouble is he hasn’t hit anything to do except play footy. That’s why I don’t think he is all that serious as long as he plays in the AFL. Could prefer us probably but will forgive and forget any current misgivings.

All Ralph was pointing out is the great opportunity we have with that pick no as the variety of players in the top picks is very wide and available. Also see how good was no 5 last year also later on he mentions Caleb and how good he was. So is just demonstrating the strength of our pick 5 in this 2024 bring a very strong and variable draft opportunity.

By the way he planned this family so he would have realised support is valuable also I believe is only Melb that is probably too big for him allegedly. Any Capital city is going to be larger than his natural surroundings but as always things like health opportunity and friendship are balances.

But there is already some family support in Melb I understand.

Wrong I believe it’s already No 25 as per Shane Mac and a complete swap.

People seem to accept that a request is automatically agreed to. NO it’s not. Each case is treated on merit and how it affects the Club say in next 2 years and even if a deal can be done through a pick no or a player. Players have signed long term contracts and because things went result or form wise not to our liking or theirs doesn’t mean it is time for a max exodus with a variety of doubtful excuses used. Time to be strong Dees we are attempted to be walked over by all and sundry. Unite and gain from a crisis!! Only way to go.
  13. Stop trying to ensure your horrible curse still has any powers.
  14. What should he say ? The real situation as best can and will be solved ? The Media Gossip ?The spin doctor approach? Give an honest statement of generalities and guarantee to put a stop to it? Resign and ask for a Presidential nomination from the floor from Demonland.? Ask if WCW is still alive and available to mediate as she loves/likes Clarry like we all mostly do and want to keep him? I don’t think hardly any/ or many of these questions will be answered except for a short statement the club can give on the situation which might be hopefully solved today in negotiations/ discussions with Clarry his Manager and the Club to go forward.

Really Doc you are forgetting that Clayton is 27 and as such even with his imperfections and immaturity it is about time that he toed the line. There are certain ways of behaviour as an AFL player and Club man and all you can say is MFC has mishandled it. This is after 2/3/4 possible years of keeping it quiet. I don’t want to lose Clarry but he was given a warning last year and although it appears he has gone well there are still issues strong enough to cause unhappiness within the playing group. Are the Leadership group having any say in this? I understand also the Footy Dept vs the Admin/ Board who have overseeing role in Club brand behaviour and culture . Perhaps this is a last chance for Clarry to shape up completely and ask for any further help/ or fully explain his actions. The Club should not agree to any paltry offers from Geelong like a Round1 future and a player not from the seniors. They are not serious if they expect not to pay 2025 prices for a potentially Top 10 AFL star albeit at a crucial stage in his footy and life no matter their recent record with other malcontents from other Clubs.
  16. Yes I am not very happy about Clarry possibly going he deserves some fortune but must perhaps realise that he is 27 not 17. He needs to attempt if he can to not only have footy in his life but find another girl to replace his previous one in his life. I am also concerned we may not be tough enough negotiators in the process.

This is the elephant in the room that most who are posting or commenting on the Clayton saga are really ignoring. It all started after the breakup between the ex gf who as I understand it dropped Clarry after 2/3/4 years together. Somehow Clarry understandably has been affected and a huge void hs entered his life. So much so he has had the troubles and discontent that has been largely restricted in the public domain until his alleged misdemeanours becoming more public (Press stated or alluded to in general). Now he has heaps on his plate after following up getting confidence back on the teammates in 2024 despite his fitness and hand injury resurfacing and overriding his ability to regain top form. Simultaneously there was a very concerted and it appears largely successful watch and care program to come back fully into the fold. Not all seem to have totally embraced this result or approach so it seems inside the playing group in recent 2024 summary it’s a tad divided. Don’t know how strong ir weak this feeling is. So this indecision has also spread to management vs footy dept. and the controversial Pert lead phone calls as a Result Clarry has in his fragile state of mind completely interrupted this as a positron (and sort of like a drowning man) sees the Cats lifeline as his greener pasture. I don’t think if he has to stay and play with us because we can’t pull the transfer springs especially if Geelong play hard ball very tight. Do that and we should close negotiations and say it’s not a deal and our transfer shop has closed for this trade period. Let the Cats stew once in a while and not rule the AFL roost this time. Clarry will fall into line and who knows how much his fitness and form he can attain for 2025. And please Dees do watch him and nurture him a little bit if this happens.
  18. And what sort of downs are you predicting ? Only a 15 a game possession count and no goal? Hope the down/s you predict are not an injury! On the contrary I would like to see him moved to be our centre man in 2025. Imagine how dangerous he would be running straight down the ground He would have the whole forward line to decide who to pass to or kick a goal himself. Reckon he would be a 20/25 possession winner and also perhaps around 15/20 goals for the season. Would straighten us up no doubt. He is a no fuss player and I believe he could handle this move of his development even at such an early stage of his career. Nor sure who could play on the wing opposite Lingers. Bowey AMW Salem ? Leave it up to the two new Coaches and Goody.
  19. See my reply Angus but surely there was a date on the recent topic on DLand also. Friday 4rh October.
  20. Thank s for your response Angus. Yes I get a bit cheeky but really some D/Landers need PA’s they are that bad at obtaining basic Club administration. The Band F has been in the club website for a bout 6 weeks with. Red and blue front page. Many if those pages do look the same. tbf there had not been much on D/Land until about a week ago.! But Angus surely you read the article about Trac going to Austria ( with club permission) for a Red Bull training camp and he will miss the B and F on the 4 th tomorrow night. Cheers

The meeting zi believe was held on a farm. Rhys Stanley’s farm. That doesn’t mean they ( Cats) are going to get him a farm !!! Really no wonder stories get told and are unbelievable!!!
  22. Don’t you read the MFC website? I fear as so have said before that D/Landers think this is an all embracing medium to head about Club matters. Well it ain’t ! The AFl and Melbournefc websites are compulsive reading for up to date info etc. on all other footy matters. Is about time D/Lers got smart and realise how really narrow this forum is. It resembles to be honest Trade Radio in a lot of the posts. Then a gem or two restores your faith in this medium.
  23. Fair enough HW yes it was clear in your post. Apologies Why round 16?
  24. Wrong If you are going to have all that info delivered to you on a silver platter you best drink so you can’t hear or alter your expectations. You may be given some small positive advices on some matters but this is not the forum generally for all Club matters rather than a celebration of the players efforts for 2024.
  25. Not even a Flag could raise your spirits. Boy how low can you go! well why are you still posting on this medium?
