  1. Sorry RM I hope you reprimand every Contributor who didn't answer or "misunderstood" CHF 's questions. My reply addressed all his selections and clearly indicated only ONE deserved to be the whipping boy in 2021 and the reasons why. Perhaps you misunderstood my reply !!!
  2. It's basically 10 years service as a first base then other efforts and service to the Club.
  3. It was before the lockdown ! The stage whatever conditions apply until they are altered and the Friday 6 pm was the time for lockdown conditions to Commence and apply for the 5 days.Thatshow would have been shut during lockdown of course. I assume that there was an inside mask requirement and elsewhere crowd figures about 50/75% of normal. On the Thursdsy prior.
  4. Not in the least except Hibbo on last season deserves his spot. But is he injured or what in 2021.? Add Rosman as he is ready in size build muscle speed and ability I believe to take the other wing opposite Langers. Reckon only ONE of Bowey or Laurie will get nod for around 1 and maybe Laurie up forward will get the nod as we have enough good defenders at this stage.
  5. Interesting choice CHF. Many would have earmarked Charlie Spargo but the pre season track reporters have been nothing but praiseworthy so far. From a boy into man physique development to getting involved on a new level, greater speed and skill Spargs is not quite out if the woods yet but he looks as though he could even be a fan favourite If he performs as he is training. Sparrow does not even deserve a nomination as he was cut down with injury just as he was cementing his place last season. Again his training firm and involvement with the mids is nit the form fir a whipping boy favourite. Nor is Chandler who has let no one down in the Seniors after his 2019 brief stint. He has also developed size bulk and is doing all things to get an early 2021 chance up forward. Let's not ruin a youngster before he has a fair chance. The same would apply to Aaron Neitshke At this stage Jake Melksham is my favourite if he doesn't involve himself in contests with 100% passion and dedication that his career demands. He is IMO not in our best 22 ATM snd I am hopeful Jake will respond and earn his spot not just be selected on previous performance which is way back in 2018 really. A Goody favourite he is in the radar of many Dees fans if he doesn't produce in the practice matches and Intraclub hitouts to earn a spot in Round1. Jake is not alone either as AVB ANB Jets Harmes even Gus and Tommy are all in the "Best form recently 2018 " and that is not good enough in 2021 with our list (and very talented but mainly unproven young tyros Training their collective butts off ) to get an easy ride into the team this year. What about Tommo as suggested. In only one season he did not star as such and On the wing he disappointed no doubt but partly it's our team plan not kicking to his wing and him not being forceful or creative enough with leads. However his second half of the season at CHB was solid reliable and team orientated. Adam May never be a star player in a team but he is versatile and trustworthy and gives his all. In fact if all players played their role as he did in last half of 2020 we would have made the 8 and as such as he can also play when needed ruck and fill in up forward. Very handy team man in our best 22 at this stage of our development I say. No doubt we will unearth a new Oscar in 2021 but let's not throw a youngster under the bus yet please just to have a dip at some one if the team Disappoints at any stage.
  6. Like Demonic I don't agree with you on Jacko. He is a ruckman but ha can be a mid or a running player because of his elite tank and skill. He can play on the forward line and link up with any if the forwards and dodo go in the ruck and get tap outs plus chase the ball and with ground play and handball be creative. He might kick 15 to 20 plus goals in 2021 if he plays forward but will be a very good score assist as well. He will also be very competitive in the ruck Giving Gawny a rest for say 5/8 mins each quarter orcrucking in the Forward line . He is going to be a once in a generation footballer versatile and a match winner Wherever he plays on the field,
  7. Could be but surely you saw his last 3/4 games in 2020 he was pushing up from HB to HF and running his hardest ever. He actually impacted games esp the GWS one and even kicked a goal, I believe he can become an A grader if he uses his skills and gets a tank and impacts the team performance and would like him up the ground as I believe He also bought Much more urgency to his game . Worth a try in my opinion.
  8. Sorry we were disgraceful at everything How could you Kick straight with that handball and field kicking atrocious fumbling and no game plan and run like last week. its the gameA we lose like last 4 years more shots but no system Horrible coaching no crumbers and Tegan C Has butterfingers and a wooden leg ! we are missing Petrevski already and she has played 2 games!!! whoever replaced Hore late should have been a small firward. This Club cannot play In windy Conditions. Refer Cairns last year AFL and all the years we struggled at Western Oval and Arden St and Moorabbin.
  9. That is probably the missing link Red how do you know for sure Salo can't play wing. I wouldn't mind him on HFF with cameos on the ball.
  10. I expect to see either Laurie or Bowey to do cameos If they make the team early doors. Rosman might also. I think given all the injuries we will come up with a varied and versatile group of forwards.
  11. Long term also about 5 options for half forward forget his (Goodwin attempted to keep him in the team) role as tagger!!
  12. I think you will find Rosman Laurie and Bowey plus Sparrow might be the answer ( or part there of) in this regard. But would not say NO to any of the players you have listed .
  13. Without making a dig that would be the Case with all Clubs if they get away to a flying start Naturally a hike in membership numbers.
  14. Was merely pointing out that thaAGM is on Monday he surely would have awareness that It's an annual event and the Pruess selection occurred in Aug/Sept 2020.
  15. Some good points Never. This issue is up to Ooze with other line coaches and Goody's game plan. I would expect 25% improvement in our use of Max and our Better than most midfielders Use of ball this season. Lets see.
  16. It was asked at the fan forum night I believe online! And no real sense in reply !!
  17. Is there more % Of Dees in this category than any Club OD? Not just your Fantasy please figures!!
  18. Presumed you meat the HUN ! i have a digital membership ( heard of that OD ???) snd have read the Jon Ralph article with Gil featuring a bit ALSO the Ballot Membership and ticketing Plus Covid crowd no's totals starting at 50%. Have been there done that all last season in Qld as a member of their MCC lookalike the Gabba Trust plus some extra games as Gen admission at the Gabba including the Prelim Final Lions vs Cats with 75% crowd allowed. Also for Test cricket in Jan. Not one sentence in either if those articles contradicted my post ( in fact you didn't need to read the paper OD) and having adapted it's no problem. at all to follow These relatively simple procedures to ensure a healthy crowd at the game, to confirm with the tracing requirements should they be necessary. Next question OD ??
  19. BDA I live in Qld so understand your point but cricket negotiated something hurdles and I would expect Anna will be flexible up to a point.WA is another case!!
  20. Thing is Browne has no further info nit dies Club at this stage as suggested getting more info. If we read the info about training or lack of it yesterday it indicated that the players have been given FOUR days off which IMO answers it all.
  21. If we wish to improve then as I have stated in my posts it's time to give the youth a go ( as long as they have earned it ) This means the following being 2018 heroes who have done little since or not improved are under the kosh Nev Jetta AVB ANB Harmes Melksham. Hibbo went well last year and deserves his spot. Players like Sparrow Jordon Kossie Jacko Riv Laurie Bowey Rosman even Chandler Neitshke and Baker are all in the mix. Add Langers Tommo and BBB and half our team is Different! That's why so am so bullish about our 2021 !!
  22. Boy you can dull a crowd OD! Where do you get your info from? The AFL are determined to keep to the draw as announced to Round 6 Without disruption. Talk is that at some stage each team may go interstate to play 2 games or similar but no hubs as per last year. Criwds are looking to start at a minimum 50% and improve on that. AFL are super keen to get the jewel in their crown Victoria up and running as trouble free as possible after last year. Thousands who have stuck with us over the decades are either in the Half glass full or empty category.or just go each year and especially so after a year off last year!! Just because you have already excused yourself from attending till July once the Covid conditions are applied by the Health Dept it's up to the individual if any other health issues are relevant. Of course you could always get your jab Which would be a positive start!!! I am looking to get mine ASAP so I can make choices about coming from interstate to go to the G! I BTW I am in my 55th consecutive years membership with Grand Final guarantee. Sorry that's a bit Too much positive for you to take in In one post!!
