  1. That's what I am saying Wrecker that it's Toms or others SPOT TO LOSE but I feel Dunstan will ( still) get ( earn) a number of games in 2022. Injury or form are obviously the key factors in this opinion.
  2. Dunstan says Hi! PS It's definitely Toms and others spots to lose but Dunny will get a good no of games no doubt to add another soldier to our Midfield troops. We sre not resting on our laurels on any way thank goodness and a draft to come as well!
  3. I bow to your proof of age of the Bullies mid field brigade Jontee. Undoubtedly convincing. I didn't check the ages and thought some from 29 to 25 were a year or 2 younger. I didn't think the gap was as big but also when Jacko Vines Clarry and Trac turned on the power in the third it just blew the Dogs away even the Bont looked powerless to stem the tide. The depth and class of us vs them plus that vital years in age showed fir the last 1.5 quarters of the game. But it should not have been 16 to 1 goals! That's embarrassing and unacceptable no matter how good we were.
  4. Although at the Stadium on the day it is amazing Watching it on TV now really awakens me to the completely separate halves of the 3rd quarter and how we couldn't generate any scoring opportunities ( but kept Doggies to 2 goals only) to suddenly flick a switch and presto 7 majors on the run pretty well sealed our drought breaking flag agony. That quarter along with the last quarter of the GF and Round 23 at the Cattery plus the Gawny Masterclass 3rd stanza in the Prelim are about the best 4 quarters of footy we have played in a patch for decades. Truly Premiership quality footy by the Undoubted best team in the comp in this season. All hail the magnificent awesome sensational Demons of 2021.
  5. While not necessarily disagreeing with the fact that we struggled financially from say 1990's through to about 2015 The ability to come up with $15 mill. Almost on the spot would have ruled out about more than half at that time inc. Tigers Saints Roos Dogs Cats Blues and possibly Hawks depending upon the specific date it was required. We must not allow our current and stable off field position financially to be frittered away. A Power Club ranking awaits us if we are sensible and successful in the next 5/10 years on and off field.
  6. Really does it matter what the time frame is? It's always as at the time the list is redrafted no matter the date. Yes Dogga is 1 Kossie 3 and Riv 7 now and thoroughly deserving. Ill be surprised if our 3 are not always in the top10 or very near especially if they keep racking up "premiership player" in the next half decade. Congrats to JT Tim Lamb and the team as usual their judgement is spot on.
  7. That's great to hear and read. All fans should be able to find ONE opportunity to hold and be photographed with the Cup. Dec5 th will be the biggest but every other venue on the tour will be a great highlight for all our passionate and loyal fans.
  8. This museum is not a State run one so may be a more slightly expensive visit. Thsts not over the top considering the style and type of history at the MCG. Especially if a photo of holding that Cup is involved.
  9. And I'll bet Kossie has saved at least 10 more goals by his tackling than any other of those forwards maybe except for Cyril.
  10. Agree entirely Hope there are waiting lists ready!
  11. More like too young Smith Dunkley Bont McRae and Hunter are still young ish others are 24 plus inc Libba and Treloar who with Bont and Smith were their best. CP5 and Clarry and Jack Viney who had a great game in and under plus Sparrow who was almost error free and so clean plus Harmes in bursts and the wonderfully underrated ANB who played his finest game by far IMO and has another 5 years of good/ great footy ahead of him at the Dees ALL proved too much with Dogga and Maxy extra mids. The Dam Wall broke when our A graders flicked the switch to another level ( sorry about 3 levels up). Best Dees footy I have ever seen in 63 years 100 to 7 points!! A 93 point turnaround in 1.5 quarters!!! Championship Quarter plus the Domination Quarter to boot equals Premiership half 16.5 to 3.1 !!! 13 th Flag and we are back in the Top Vic Clubs if we play our cards right.
  12. Ring the Club or google mcg sports museum premiership cup photo
  13. That's why Dec5th is so big for the Melb home supporters to really feel the atmosphere etc.
  14. I thought a Premiership Calendar would have sold plenty of copies!!!
  15. No but I hit the smaller version It looks great with the ribbon in front of the "Every Heart Beats True " photo of the field at Final Siren and also photos of the premiership team ( second one after the siren) us 6 players with some script and Tracs signature. Will look even better when I put the art up on the wall. It's leaning from the sideboard at the moment with the Cup scarf snd publications"Premiers from the HSun and AFL Oh snd a bottle of the MFC Premiership Shiraz from Bleasdale nearby!

You seem alone and isolated Mach 5 with your wildly unsubstantiated views. Time to fess up with details and the allegations you are alluding to without detail or shut up. Perhaps you are used to going solo and looking sad well that's not the view any real fair dinkum 2021 Dees fan is possessing in Sept and Oct after our astonishing breaking drought 13th premiership. Moreover 2022-2030 is a watershed opportunity to elevate our Club to the power of former years ( 40,50 and 60's ) and really it's laughable that someone as small minded and bitter as you (Mach5) can in anyway make his comments be maintained with any truth ( without details especially) to the overwhelming avalanche of the might of our deserved and potentially sustained success.

What are you saying JJJ that the supply was under forecast for the demand ? we haven't sold out in all categories but some very popular lines if you look at the comments in Merch/memorabilia. What other than a general comment with no details can you back up with info and figures. In addition what profit results has the Club made from merch/ memorabilia that you are aware of? Or against the Club budget forecasts?

Also I will they are as important and special as the players and coaches. We aren't there yet so let's not get complacent but there is a very determined atmosphere and resolve to continue the pursuit of excellence and the highest of standards and results. Go Dees and thanks to everyone.
  19. Which the grand final? I was there and truly I don't think it was crucial n their comeback or third quarter 15 min dominance.BUT the MIT h Hannam free kick live and on replay 30 plus times is very soft. Unfortunately the umps this year especially are paying soft free kicks by the bus load You hardly touch your opponent on the back or near the neck and especially in blink e and throw in plus contested ball they make a stupid preliminary soft call and 2 mins later Kossies head is pulled off and no whistle. BUt I was not upset overall at the green/ yellow brigade. What I neglected ( very embarrassingly ) as I wound up my post in a hurry to get out was not recognise the VERY LARGE contribution made by our Coach Simon Goodwin who held it all together brilliantly and deserves huge credit and a very large place in the Histoty of breaking our extended drought/curse. Hw will either be our judged our 2nd b est Coach by a distance or third narrowly in the years to come !
  20. He is not technically a KP forward but a floating half forward and pocket as well. Really he is the best forward in a traditional sense as he has all the skills also. Long May he play on our forward line!!
  21. Agree Wiz I was alive and barracked for the Dees in 1958,59 60 and 64 but as a 10 year old to 16 we went as a family to most games at the G starting in 1959. Our first memberships were in 1965 and by far the most emotional and consequential event in the 63 years was that afternoon at the Western Oval when we made the Finals in 1987 and those matches like in 2018 were amazing for their red and blue support and atmosphere snd us winning the 2 Finals games. I moved to Brisbane in 1993 and still purchase an Adult Membership and have for 56 consecutive years. I and fellow supporters in their 60's and 70's agreed that our time was running out in our lifetime even though in retrospect 2018 now was not a glitch but a promise of the prospect that we could in the next few years maybe break our curse or drought. 2019 was very disappointing and the injury toll and lack of a solid pre season of about half the list was crucial. 2020 in my opinion was not a wasted year as our defence was starting to emerge as a tight unit and May snd Lever showed glimpses of their class and why we used those draft picks. The biggest improvement was in 2020 that Christian Petracca went from a good B grader to a class A + grader on his best days. Along with him was Gawny Clarry Langers and on occasions Viney and Salem (near the end of the season) were all impacting our form and results but for our largely dysfunctional forward line. Cairns also showed our weaknesses mentally and in difficult conditions but a platform on our fitness by Burgo had been started and our % was over 100% (107% in fact up from 78% in 2019. The JT and his team plus the FDepts recent years of drafting and recruiting were starting to bear fruit. I contributed at least a dozen posts indicating my optimism about our list and its potential to take a step or two to the Final 8 or even Top 4 if we succeeded in a number of facets of the game in 2021. Paramount to this was the following : 1. Positive run with injuries to key players and low overall total numbers as well. 2. Potential immediate improvement in 2019 draftees Jackson Kossie and Rivers. 3. Players like Fritsch Spargo Brayshaw ANB Harmes show regular and consistent improvement in their individual and team contributions to kick more goals raise their tacking level and develop a hard edge approach. 4. All our A or potential A graders emerge and lead the way on and off the field. Gawn Trac Clarry Vines Langers Maysie Jake L and Salem were a very good start in this group. 5. Tommy Mac rediscover his 2018 form or kick say 30-50 goals this season. 6. BBB our new recruit and/or Sam Weid become forwards that took the oppositions best defenders and still beat them enough times to impact and connect our attack to a new level. 7. That our 2/3 year recruits Sparrow Chandler and Jordon plus others fulfil much of their potential in breakout years to back up our mids in depth. 8. Very Importantly a stronger game plan be introduced and the Club learn from the Tigers Hawks and Cats that team footy is the secret to sustained form and importance to a successful season no matter what ability you possess on your list. 9. I was extremely bullish about our new coaching panel giving us an edge in our midfield and running patterns and improving the game plan overall. 10 From that first JTL win over the Tigers I reckoned that form was true and achievable and our team was gelling together in a positive snd measured manner. Solid team orientated and honest players seemed to know more about their role in the team and the team looked as though they enjoyed each other's company and on field success. Our disastrous under strength JLT performance to lose vs the Doggies at Marvel was a complete glitch and did not seem to harm us mentally in hindsight. From Round 1 we were a bit scratchy but still strong and solid with some real individual brilliance emerging in the team as the season progressed. Anzac Eve was a great lesson in our growth only we recognised as the footy world had to eventually. By Finals time we had laid the base and in the last minutes st the Cattery tied up the Minor Premiership to give real belief that we would be up for the Finsks Challenges. To say it was a juggernaut from then on is not overstating our excellence snd performance yo gain our 13 Th and best modern flag this century.
  22. Another poster said we were on the lucky side to win!!! Another 3rd quarter goal and we would have been in trouble!! I felt that we were about a 6/8 goal better side than the Lions but didn't convert quite as well as in the PF and GF. The "Charlie " factor was large and Hibbo May well have been a better choice than Joel Smith to mind him. But pleasing for Joel he has improved IMO and should get more games next season in a 8/10 man defensive unit UNLESS he gets injured again
  23. Was disappointed Jay did not get a real go last year and was up against it when Nev was picked from Round 1. Some days reckon we missed that smaller defender but as we kept winning Jay could not force his way in. Still think he had the ability but when "Bowser" was selected it was all over for Jay. Jake is a great player in the making no doubt and love his footy to bits. I hope Jay can find a VFL side at least as he has the skill and date to make it. All the best Jay.
  24. ?????? What is that it's not surely in the Club in 2021 !!!
