  1. Dr you are not a very smart Dr Waiting a week nearly to get tested and going here and there in that time is not smart. Thsts why there are 300 exposure sites Should have got tested on the 24 or 25 th. (?And isolated at home till a result.)
  2. Perhaps they ( Saints ) don't always have the longest run at the top to grab their chance but they are masters of choking in Finals with 3/4 time leads albeit small ones. We have got to make the best of our opportunities and this season is an ideal start for a Top 2 or Top4 spot. Win the qualifying Final vs a if side at the G and next 2 are it home where this year we seem to be playing consistent tough and committed team footy.
  3. Early days yet Durango but you are in the money. Trent has looked a ready made half back since about the fifth minute of his first game in the first quarter vs Carlton in 2020. Really came of age when he starred vs GWS and kicked his first goals ( second one left foot jag a match winner ) in Round 17 last year. And the real upside we got him at Pick 32 and Young was in the first dozen. I just have a sneaky suspicion he is future Captaincy material for our Club. Fine young footballer and humble knowledgeable human being to boot.
  4. All that study and you waste a post Dr. msybe need to do a post grad course on MSDraft for potential finalist / flag hopeful !!'
  5. Lever hardly does Rivers is our third option and ha mixes it up a bit but runs his full distance so gets at least 70//80m out from goal.
  6. I would have Rivers as Hibbo might have to mind McStay for a while if we want Jake to keep intercepting.
  7. Like Hunt to wing and Locky to mind the smalls of the Lions. We must start giving some players an opportunity in case we get form or injury worries down the track. This is if we need a replacement not experimenting or tampering with a winning team.
  8. Agree he has come back from a poor 2019 to a very serviceable 2020 plus is fitting in beautifully with all the defenders this year. For his age he is nearly back to his AA form snd disposal agsin back to best . At least another year if he wants it IMO.
  9. Really W5 You don't rate him that highly Well perhaps you should stop and think and appreciate his superb skills and consistency often when we were beaten with a low score. He would usually kick goals even in this scenario and he has been doing it till Goody thank G.d realised he was irreplaceable up forward. He has been our most consistent forward and is not just a down hill skier. Far from it. What an insult to his style of play. Have a look at his body strength and physique and that's why he generally uses his brains and marking skills to get goals. Stringer and De Goey are beasts more like Trac and have other attributes to get themselves a goal. I'd rather Bailey as he is hard to man up on being good overhead and on the ground also. The only question is sometimes he can miss the occasional set shot. Our forward line is a mixture of all types and I am now wondering what you think of Charlie Spargo? Indeed I am also a bit worried how you rated the late great Robbie Flower as he didn't create a goal from brute strength or a massive contest Have a look at Bayleys game in the last half of our win vs GWS at the Gabba last Season and see how he wore down Nick Haynes to help us win. Not brute strength in body but in the mind!! Bayley I M O is in his own way is an A grader how he crafts goals when many others haven't got as much skill as him in his little finger.
  10. Did we have a say in it? I'd say not. If it was the arrogance in this scenario it was our big heads thinking we were playing some lowly teams and coupled with the rain and wind which we couldn't cope with turned out yo be a gigantic disaster.
  11. Well said and spit on besides Tommy leads our forward line.
  12. Opinion not any facts I presume
  13. If you used your point 1858 then May could go all the way to the forward line!!! Please he is our best kicker in and we are not conceding goals by our kick ins so let's have a Plan B but stick to A until we need a variation during the game. Maysie knows what he is doing
  14. What need Dont we want if Cerra was available ? Outside runner I would think! Really he fits like a glove for us and his disposal is good which means he qualifies under the new Melb rule of skill.
  15. Saw Robinson star yesterday and yes he would be a long bow for Bakes to take on. Maybe Angus tags him if he is on the wing but Harmes elsewhere is not bad unless he gets say McCluggage. Other wing could be Salem or Rivers and Lockhart to mind smalls ie Mathieson But structurally Msybe ANB is the best runner and Baker the most deserved I guess if not the most prudent choice.
  16. Not after Friday night Kent especially at centre bounces
  17. Both Maxy and Gus can improve a little but ALSO both are performing at a high standard of team footy and are inspirational the way they both commit for the team.
  18. Lockhart to mind the smalls possibly He was 20 plus disposals and in our best.
  19. Already sold out 2 by 350 quota!!!
  20. Both BAMF and QF are wrong ! Yes 3 headed monster ie Naughton English and Bruce still had reasonable goals out if their total and not one starred due to our pressure and individual brilliance of May Lever and don't forget Petty BUT don't underestimate their potential if more and better ball comes into the forward line. QB You are not including Petty's ability to contribute to our defence. Yes Lever must still go for his intercepts as should May and Petty. Last night Rivers held sway and Hibberd and Salem were serviceable and supportive without starring. Uts a team effort and the Dogs defence was very ordinary when we bought the Heat into the kitchen. Weid and Kossie had almost nights ANB Tmac and Fritta were excellent. On ballers got us 4 goals. So agsin our mix of all things forwards worked hard and well to support the defence and mids.
  21. No no no That's almost robbing 2,Peters to pay ONE Paul. Stop gap ie Baker for Lingers or msybe ANB or bring in Bowey ( very big call) OR in lLockhart for defence and either Rivers or Salem to wing. ( not keen to disturb defence really ) but Lions are quick around the ground so need pace on the wing.
  22. First of all we don't need to invent situations Playing against any team in the AFL is fraught with danger and beating Cwood Suns or Bombers with ALL THE TALLS does not prove that will work against the Tigers or Dogs or Cats on the big stage of Finals in September in wet or dry conditions. I have no doubt that we could win with them all on some occasions but we will be far better balanced with 2 or 3 talls plus Jacko in the forward line. Form is always the best guide and whether it's BBB or Weid or Melky with the figures that Sam got today you can't carry two or three players who fail to contribute to the team. That's not to say Sam was not ok in his role but somewhere he isn't playing a complete game. His clangers in the last quarter following a brilliant third quarter show how flaky he can be. BBB also needs some real form consistently and Jacko could play wing but why upset Angus who is playing his most consistent form team and personal wise. He is now a strength with his defensive role smart intercepting and invaluable support to the half backs and half forwards. Players like Chandler Lockhart Baker and Sparrow all have cases for inclusion in our best team at times given form and injury and probably add far more flexibility than another tall unless that/those talls are in irresistible form and can't be left out. Agree the beauty of Jacko can play medium roles as his versitility and skill but he now enables Max to dominate the forward or back lines as needed. One day Jacko will grab his marks and this more talls won't even be discussion point. Let's hope it happens sooner rather than later. Also leave Tmac as our premium Tall KPF as he brings all other forwards into play and is our most reliable goal kicker in all conditions. Fritsch can be our third or fourth tall with Jacko in the picture also if we go that way. Depending upon circumstances but you have either forgotten Bayley or have a bias against a very highly skilled near A grader who always finds a way to contribute goals and more to the team and us almost impossible to match up for the opposition. No not the wisest move placing all the talls just as it isn't playing all the smalls. if it ain't broken don't try and fix it!
  23. I can't help pinch myself with the results of: Tmac back from dead to best forward in KP and 2018 form agsin Nibbler gotten rid of bad skill errors and is a team player with high degree of intelligence most of the time Back from dead also Charlie super game again even on the backline looked like Caleb Daniel and is becoming consistent Predicted Tmac and Charlie before season so it's a nice surprise fit ANB to be producing on ball as Dr D wanted him.
  24. What I heard on Fox I think but have no other info to go on!
  25. May not be quite as solid on the bigger beasts as Tommo was but has more strings to his bow in skills. Either way a great duo to pick from.
