  1. TBH Majak is a bit of a tease. Really needs a ticket under him with greater urgency if he is to succeed.
  2. Biff that was a typo error. I am a great Salem fan and reckon he may get to an A grade if he continues going on from late games last year with his impact and pressure.
  3. If Clint Biscuit can overcome issues of delistment from Geelong and survive then Majak May be motivated to overcome his.
  4. Ultimately the no of games and goals will decide Salem's fate in 2021 or later.
  5. Really the memory does tricks !! You are virtually saying that Rigoni is our Second best midfielder Of this century !! Really ??? A three match finals block plus solid form during the season for one year!!!! Better player they year than Woe??
  6. Yes the numbers run out of time or get second chances at other Clubs and Sam Is getting to that stage. Would like to see this year Sam have a solid run at it especially with BBB and Some other forward options Creating a potential mix Needing some defensive depth to contain.
  7. Nevertheless you could have actually crunched your point with the stats on injury games missed. Nothing like a fact or two to back up your opinion !!!
  8. Sorry Mach5 it's Big Red That should be relistening.!!!
  9. Mach 5 you didn't catch what JT said re Laurie and Bowey. Better listen again then!
  10. Congratulations to Mick and the girls! Magnificent win in a " Final in February" clash also without the Casey Doctor that visits every fortnight when we play there. (In other words any real home advantage was minimised by the perfect weather and ground conditions at Casey Fields.) Simple put games on Successive weekends and that confuses the wind Doctor!!! Seriously on a lockdown ( sorry again Melburnians ) sat night what a blockbuster to watch after 2 very scrappy but competitive clashes in Sydney ( rain affected to be fair) and at Moorabbin our nearest neighbouring ground. The standard surpassed all matches (since the finals last year ) And was one if the Top5 games of AWLW held in the 4 and bit years of that Comp. And was on Free to Air TV plus Social Media was awash with compliments about the AFLW standard rising from the So called Ashes. Even D/L Was full of excited posts from cigar smoking whisky sipping couch potatoes revelling in our new found heroes playing footy as it should be played. Fast furious and connecting leading to goals!!! More Goals also in the response plus the Titanic last quarter ( championship quarter no less) and Featuring the defensive skills Of each team As they parried and contested till the siren with the Dees showing their mettle to join the Big 5/6/7 fighting for this years flag. And the realisation of the Melbourne AFLW strategy of recruiting youth to add to our older heroes,( also discarding or losing some previous ones) that is bearing immediate results just as much as a challenging running handball and outside game that opens up previous lack of scoring options for our new found smart and clever Forwards. This win is one that you can build a season around with self belief and confidence that you are on the right track and ready to embrace the future challenges no matter what Covid or the Other AFLW provide. Maybe even kick start belief throughout the Club that if their AFL counterparts can compose a similar run and carry Game Plan With similar commitment and input a season of some magnitude can be replicated.
  11. Forgot Lions who are in double digit millions debt. Have been since late '2000'S really. AFL are subsidising them each year also. Has improved a bit now that they are in the top 4 Clubs!
  12. Wonderful win A great team effort Girls.& Men could well look at that game plan and how the ball is moved.
  13. That's what they have been recruited for CP.. And then Ist rounders to get the best 2 picks of the smalls , Refer to JT on the behind the draft Best decision makers best kicks and just love the game both.!! Reckon Charlie Spargo is the other small who is training well and has muscles up and getting involved . What was a weakness now will be a strength.
  14. Speak for yourself Steno!!!
  15. No No No social football is tougher and more shanks hits than AFL!!
  16. Disagree The 85,000 members that have signed up Consistently lately are More likely the reason. Tasmania supported that with members and Govt funding but it's just the same as saying our NT games majorly helped save us from debt.
  17. We have a choice in life OD positive Or negative or neutral!!! Take your pick you have!!!
  18. My feeling is NO out of consideration of all facts and health factors for Paddy. At the same time I hope that if Paddy wants to play he gets an opportunity. Last year we gave Harley a chance but since feel That Paddy is similar to Weid in that he needs to produce form Early on the make it worthwhile. His form to be fair when available had not been great either. Realise it is a harsh call but entirely realistic one for our Club.
  19. The key words Skills 32 is "lack the skills"!! I don't want a team of kick off the ground lazy players! Lets get skilled team players that put their bodies on the line and back their ability to get and dispose of the ball as best as their ability allows them. There were about 5/6 kicks off the ground last week in the AFLW and I agreed with about 3 of them as to the Best choice as advantage to our team! Wet weather also is the best reason for Kicking off the ground but we get that about Twice a season!!! Maybe you and I will have to agree to disagree ( kick or not kick off the ground) in this case.
  20. Unfortunately that's where it ends Loges their body language expertise ?? Is not matched by their football brains. Talk of always going for " the next best player " In a draft 1st Round and not considering our desperate wants and needs is a lazy and hazardous draft selection policy. BTW who is the next best player?? 18 Clubs look at this so differently.because of their lists and needs anyway. LJ snd Kossie and Laurie and Bowey are our examples. Ironically looks as though Riv at no 32 was indeed the next best player ( actually put that back to end if first round as the next best!!). Loved the way JT stood steadfastly firm That Rosman was the choice "He could easily ( or be ready to ) explode". Its that X factor approach you need occasionally to get a list of all different types which I think we have really got now with 2019 and 2020 draft and trade recruits.
  21. They will do as much ruck relief between them as needed especially LJ who will be Lukey Everywhere as his young legs Build his career like a young colt. Bradtke could also get a chance if necessary but I wouldn't be looking at a ruck especially for rookie or SSS or mid year draft.
  22. Not sure if Round1 but would really like to see the Saints Cats and Tigers games. All depends upon Travel Lockdown and vaccine Plus AFL strategy of course. Qld to Vic and return is very much like a Demons season ( of the past hopefully) plenty of highs and lows!! Really want to see a young side selected So we can grow over the year, as youth is the exciting growth pattern to hit our team if we are to succeed in 2021. OUT (Depth and will get some games but not all in same team.) AVB ANB Jets Milkshake Jonesy ( still will get 300 though) . IN ( Opportunities early on for some but no restrictions over the season) Laurie Bowey Rosman Jordon Sparrow and of course LJ Kossie and Riv. Even Nieitschke Chandler and Bedford are not without hope. BBB of course after Round3/4. Just hope we can all get there and celebrate these newbies combining with the old favourites!
  23. That may well be a thing of the past Layzie especially if we don't get railroaded ( sorry air Freighted) to Cairns.
