  1. Can't get a good read on them. Looks neatly skilled without being a great kick for Howes. Decision making looks solid though.
  2. From an AFL article: IN A DRAFT pool that is dominated by midfielders, Jacob van Rooyen stands out. Then you throw in his 195cm frame, the strong marking, hard running and batch of blond hair and it is easy to see why the West Australian has caught the eye of scouts.
  3. A pretty revolutionary concept duzza. I’m sure you’d find JT would know where the coaches are planning on developing him.
  4. JT said he’ll start wing/midfield, didn’t mention forward
  5. Lots of talls in next years draft apparently, might be the plan to trade in again and grab one
  6. It was encouraging to see. Our midfield lacks another player who can tuck the ball under their arm and go for a run. Wouldn't shock me if we throw him in the centre bounces to be honest.
  7. Some clearer Howes footage here
  8. Some obscure names for these Melb father sons
  9. We don't really have a player like him on the list. Hope he can develop well.
  10. Another from Perth? https://central.rookieme.com/afl/player/judd-mcvee/ What a name, like something out of American Pie
  11. We view Howes as a wing/midfielder, from JT's draft wrap
  12. It isn't really. These are guys going pick 40 odd, every side had multiple picks to grab them if they wanted. Maybe one of them becomes an absolute jet but it'll be an error of 17 other clubs then.
  13. Howe has Collingwood origins I know that much
  14. Reading between the lines sounds like we were very surprised Howes was available
  15. Take the weaknesses with a grain of salt. Draft central's write up of Bowey last year had toughness as a strength, but contested side as a weakness. They often contradict themselves.
  16. We simply don't rate anyone remaining, and would rather push the pick to next year, even at the expensive of a few spots, than waste it this year
  17. Budget Bailey Smith I reckon by the way he moves Surely they'll look at him as an inside mid
