Trade Targets
I reckon we have a bit of both don't we? 2x 2nd round picks & a future 1st round pick to trade. Add in potentially the Weid to that. Jones, Jetta, Hibberd (?) to retire. Again, potentially Weid to that from a salary cap clearing perspective. I'm of the belief you can get creative with the cap if you're well run.

Trade Targets
'Easy outside ball' listed as a weakness from a Bigfooty draft watcher...definitely a Melbourne player.... Major strengths: Skills on both sides+vision+kicks to i50 targets+first possession winning at stoppages Major weaknesses: Struggles finding easy outside ball

Trade Targets
Trading into the draft and picking up Josh Rachele a more viable option https://www.afl.com.au/video/655158/watch-lively-forward-josh-rachele-dazzles-in-u19-games?videoId=655158&modal=true&type=video&publishFrom=1627280862001 Snapshot: A mercurial forward who has drawn comparisons to GWS star Toby Greene, Rachele has unbelievable smarts, skills, and a keen eye for goal. Rachele is rightly a standout among his draft class, having taken out the Under 16 Division 1 MVP award for Vic Country in 2019. He quickly went on to represent the Murray Bushrangers, averaging a tick under 18 disposals and two goals in four games as a 16-year-old. The exciting forward hails from an elite soccer background and has quick feet to show for it, as well as the smiling celebrations you’d expect on the end of well-finished goals. Rachele is lauded for his skills and smarts in the forward half, but has shown an aptitude for midfield work with his turn of speed and ability to find the ball at ground level. He’s capable of highlight-reel moment

I know the numbers align but his decision making was far better against the Eagles. He played like a smart [censored] against the GCS.

Ladder Watch
Sure did. Traded IN: Picks 18 (Bowey), 19 (Laurie) & a 2021 2nd rounder. For picks 25, 68, 69 & 2021 1st rounder. An excellent trade in hindsight.

Ladder Watch
We hold: Picks 31, 38, 54 at this stage (give or take a spot or two after ladder movement in the final couple rounds)

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Viney is one of those rare players that seems to play better the less midfield time he has (small sample space I know). 50-60% forward time is the go.

CHANGES: Rd 22 vs Adelaide

POSTGAME: Rd 21 vs West Coast
Bowey what a player, shame about the holding the ball, not a concern tho. He's a player.

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 v West Coast
Weid to kick 5 and his trade value to go through the roof. Kill two birds with one stone!

GAMEDAY: Rd 21 v West Coast
Expecting a Spargo masterclass. 3 goals from him I reckon.

Allison.

NON MFC: Rd 21 2021
Geelong's biggest issue is that they've never been able to consistently deliver very high pressure on the opposition defensively (at least to my eye). They always appear to be playing in the same gear without any real ability to flick the switch.

NON MFC: Rd 21 2021
It was funny seeing the hype about him after our game, where it was pissing down.....
