  1. Wonder what Stats Langdon will be pulling on the G
  2. Sad end. Hopefully the club can still support him. I know the fine was his fault but he's probably hating himself right now due to the COVID breach and letting the club down and quite possibly throwing away the his 'last chance', the only thing he knows in life/wanted to do. The comments left by "fans" on his social media won't be helping either way. He needs support and not a pile on. I know they're younger and the breaches were different but I don't recall seeing as many online negative comments against Spargo/Pickett. I might be wrong here, but I guess some fans felt extra hurt by this one. (Don't get me wrong he should have known better etc but we don't know what other people are going through). Tantamount to a long term break up really.
  3. Makes me think of Sergio Romero, was happy earning £95,000 a week at Manchester United and playing sporadically, but now there is a younger Reserve keeper and Sergio wants to leave. Much Like Preuss/LJ situation but without the swimming pool full of money ala Uncle Scrooge
  4. Melbourne gave him an opportunity and Harley had one last chance to test/prove himself. Lack of VFL didn't help but seemingly (from an outsive POV) he either lost the appetite (or has more important things going on his life) or knew his body wasn't up to it. With Burgo in charge you assume the club gave him the best chance of succeeding medically but unfortunately it didn't seem to work out but at least he got back on the pitch and had one last good memory. The COVID indiscretion/fall out does leave the experiment with a sour taste unfortunately though.
  5. AVB is the bull, pity more teams don't wear red.
  6. Pity it didn't work. Did enjoy his first goal for the club and the players getting around him. Seems the spirit and trust in him may have waned based on some of the comments above though.
  7. It's an interesting from a terminology point of view that it's crept into sport terminology, case in point Dimitar Berbatov (now retired Ex Bayern Leverkusen, Tottenham, Man United, etc) This is from a Sky Sports article in 2010; "the obligatory description of Berbatov as 'languid' or 'laconic'. The tabloids content themselves with 'lazy'. It's a thin line."
  8. my concern with this @Maldonboy38is Burgo is meant to be one of the best in the business. We've had Burgo for a year and i'm not sure if he's signed on for further years. He hasn't been able to rectify whatever the problem is with Tom (if there is one).
  9. Preuss would be nice cover, but also could be a good trade for us. Much better currency than Tyson would have had. as @Lucifer's Hero points out Tmac may be on way out. Tomlinson only 1cm shorter, Mitch Brown a few cm taller. Not ideal options but hopefully Jacko has a big pre-season
  10. Hopefully the club reach out and congratulate him both publically and privately on his career. Now he can focus on his true passions as per those leaked messages.
  11. Imagine Brown will go to Hawthorn so he can continue killing us down in Tasmania
  12. A total of 15 sides have been represented in the 40-man squad, with Adelaide, Gold Coast and North Melbourne the only teams not to have a single player named. Gawn and Nic Naitanui are vying for the ruck position, with dual All-Australian ruckman Brodie Grundy and Kangaroos veteran Todd Goldstein both controversially left out of the squad. Melbourne defender Steven May, Essendon speedster Adam Saad, Sydney midfielder Luke Parker and Gold Coast backman Sam Collins are also notable absentees from the 40-man group.

Justice for STEVEN!
  14. Mark Stevens: Who let the DOGS54 Out? Who? Who? Who? Who? Who?
  15. Saw someone liken him to Pedo, think a player like him is needed given question marks over Smith, Tmac, Petty etc
  16. I googled "2020 Melbourne Demons Squad" Google popped up with the following Players Daniel Cross, Harley Bennell, Jimmy Toumpas, Max Gawn, Jayden Hunt, Luke Jackson, Clayton Oliver, Aidan Riley, Dean Kent, Max King, Bernie Vince, Christian Petracca, Alex Neal-Bullen, Rohan Bail, Neville Jetta, Jake Spencer, Nathan Jones. Looks like we have more work cut out for us at the trade table
  17. I was impressed with his tenacity in his one game in 2019. Agreed lack of VFL has hurt him this year. Wouldn't rule him out just yet but all depends on list sizes and the like.
  18. Wonder if that’s enough to get Trent the nom. Brown/Hunt played for their Futures today. Happy with both of their performances
  19. 'It's been a big day for me': Smith wants change after $1.4m concussion payout https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/it-s-been-a-big-day-for-me-smith-wants-change-after-1-4m-concussion-payout-20200918-p55wvl.html
  20. Former Melbourne and Geelong speedster Blease, 29, retired in 2015 following a concussion suffered while playing for the Cats’ VFL team.
  21. At the end of the day another nomination would have been nice, but i'm just thrilled we have Trent on board. What a future he has (hopefully all at this club!)
