The fine for striking is over the top given it happens 272 times a game. Fine them all or none.

TRAINING: Sunday 22nd June 2025
To be fair this is what goody did bring up daicos focus after kings bday "It was certainly pretty clear post halftime, early especially, that they (the umpires) were watching some of the holding in and around the ball," Goodwin said. "I’m not sure what transpired at halftime, but obviously the free kicks were pretty evident early in the third quarter." He was also asked if he thought the umpires brought up the issue at halftime to look for the holds around the ball. Goodwin said he wasn’t too sure but hopes they weren’t looking at just one player. “I don’t know what transpires in those breaks with the umpires and what they discuss, but hopefully they do it for every player," he said.

Gameday Mascots
The Bye week has turned my attention to other important MFC matters, mainly the gameday MFC Mascots (and history of them etc). Maybe the Demon Army can help me out here. I haven't really paid full attention to the mascots on game day as i am not a kid/nor do i have one. Is this current lot as follows Checker - standard Chuck - younger mascot Cheeky - Even younger mascot? Daisy - Is she still as active now that Daisy is elsewhere? There's also Flash - How active is he? Clarry ? - There was a Mascot Academy gimmick in 2020 which was basically a zurich advert and there was a Clarry mascot. Has he been seen since? This seems like a lot, we could almost field a AFL-X team with them. Will Before then we had Ronald Deeman (the red demon with a huge chin)- has he made a nostalgic appearance anywhere since he was removed? He stopped in 2011, when is that considered retro? I do feel Ronald Deeman has the slight advantage on the newer ones as he's red and less human. But understandably he may scare kids more than the current lot. Can't send him to children's hospital for example. did we have anything before Ronald Deeman in terms of on-field mascots?

Tairon Ah-Mu - No access for Dees NGA Talent
Also Picketfence wants us to move on cos he doesnt want another tall forward to compete with Jeffo!

- The Kalani White Thread
Its all gone borked. Like Obvs i am biased cos of Kalani but even David Rodan has a kid who is eligible for F/S with Port but is also part of Essendon's NGA. They need to re-jig the system. You've got NGA players who's parents played AFL football. Then you got cases like Kalani and Luke Hodge's kid who are part of Northern Academies despite being F/S eligible. If Cooper Hodge choses Brisbane i'll feel sorry for the Hawks, and that's a sentence I don't type very often.- The AFL 2025 Fixture
It's still utterly bizarre to have us not playing a game in Melbourne for a month and then not leaving the state for the last 7 games.- Media Madness
Dermie was just as bad at half time on the weekend, suggesting Kossie could get a fine for staging when he got that clip to the head. They replayed the incident and he repeated there was no contact and he milked it. Other panel tried to tell him there was bicep/shoulder contact to chin but he wasnt having it.- Max Gawn shanks left - AGAIN
Agreed, i dont expect a big lanky ruck to kick 'em all the time, but 2.14 is woeful. Previously when he took a mark in the F50 you'd be like this could be anything, but this season you could say it'd be a point with confidence.- PREGAME: Rd 1 6 vs Gold Coast
McVee and Gawn escaped with no sanction from the Match Review Panel- POSTGAME: Rd 14 vs Port Adelaide
Was 62-57 when May got penalised for being too strong. Real momentum killer. That being said as per usual our kicking into f50 and kicking iffy as usual. That Petracca to Melksham one in particular; too many floated kicks in; just invites pressure 3 goals after the siren, real broken tv territory- Swapping Petty & Disco's Roles?
Out of Petty and Disco i'd prefer Disco forward BUT i dont want to see Disco playing anywhere but the backline - So i voted Petty.- Harrison Petty
It is a tough one - Tmac squeezed out of the backline. You'd imagine the selection committee wouldnt want to move Turner/May/Lever - so i'd still rather he be in the team as a forward than not at all. Has somethings to improve on no doubt. His future should be as a Backman - but this might not be until season 2027.- Trade Targets
we do need a gun forward though- KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
Comments from other club supporters saying we were played and overpaid, only thing for certain is he signed. Its a beautiful day, now to win this weekend.- KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
There has to be a $/Length to get the deal done, if this is it so be it. He makes things happens Curious where the load will be spread on the contract, hopefully heaviest when his legs are at his quickest.- 2025 MRO & Tribunal

Think the price is worth paying just to shut up that flagmantle facebook page.- Forward line fix?
Got a text during the game yesterday from a pal who supports Hawthorn "Any danger of Melbourne kicking it properly into the forward line" Must not have watched us much since 2022.- Max and May after the siren
Gives them something to talk about (read: Milk) Tuesday-Wednesday before the round begins on Thursday.- POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Bit of a mid-season groundhog day post the last few years unfortunately.- POSTGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Frustrating result. The May/Gawn incident will be forgotten by them by the morning. There are posts on here that’s there’s too much smiling after losses. Well this is the opposite isn’t it. A stern word said in the moment will not last long between professional players - Training Ground?
