2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
i dont think jack ison knows his own game, hes more of a dusty mould than a cyril or kox

Sam Cumming
r12 was so much more impressive than r13 less fumbles better attack and just a more solid game especially early

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
feel like this is appropriate at this time, particularly looking at the ranking of the players without the club tied talent, it sort of puts it in perspective, leray at 33 is rated as the 23rd open pick, so pascoes placement of greeves at 50 is basically 35th

Sam Cumming
honestly i'm not supper excited by him, i think he doesnt have a heap of scope for improvement and has probabky bullied some smaller players at stoppages across this year a little too much, prefer sharp or farrow i think they have more traits that would translate

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
i just watched his highlights and i actually think contested footy and close attention were his strengths, he was clean one touch and always able to get his hands free to dish the ball out when under pressure and importantly was hitting chests with his handballs they were accurate and intended. wasnt able to see enough about his running but he showed enough burst, would probably start at HF rather than HB but looked neat enough. Don't know if its a lazy comparison but Rivers did come to mind Looked through some other profiles too, Sam Allen the small mid who has an acl atm, he looks a likely type i can see why people havent forgotten him Mikunda might be around there, BOB all probably start as HF types and could finish there too but are on the smaller side

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
interesting that Cal didn't name drop us with the dovaston links at the end, grjl and farrow is good but also theyre likely to play similar roles to begin with at HB rotating into CBs or exclusively at HB with riv and windsor exclusively in the guts i've probably been too harsh on sharps prospects, but can see the bombers or even the eagles taking him anyway, would be interesting who falls out if the dons are as keen on cumming as expected and the eagles go with a mid at 2 duurs sharp or robey cdt taylor or robey sharp or taylor cumming ? grjl ? doesnt seem to even be any names floated whatsoever other than MID?

Sam Grlj
somewhere between butters and holmes and rozee with his movement possilbly a bit of the chad, does anyone have a closer comparison

AFL Draft 2025: Pick 30 (formerly 37)
i was going to throw up matt leray as a prospect but i do think he presents as a blake howes type, good size, good foot skills but isn't a good competitive aerial threat like lever and probably gets thrown around a lot positionlly at the next level

Archie Ludowyke
cadman was a bolter almost on par with robey, grew 20cm in a short period of time

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
i can see the parallels between this thread and was it the humphrey thread?

Welcome to Demonland: Xavier Taylor
i just dont think he's any chance at getting to us, for the tigers he's a oerfect broad vlastuin replaement and a more reliable option than ridley in terms of staying on the park and an immediate upgrade on "prior" at essendon. i think we're no chance i think grjl is the one who could slide as tiges got hotton who can add that zip to their midfield last year

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
i don't think he needs to be, he provides damage, good possessions are the go these days, i think the cats had something ridiculous like idk 5 games this year with a player having 30+ even with holmes and baz, they A share the load and B dont need to have heaps of it to have an impact, they make them count and don't fluff around with it

AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
JT is good at what he knows, he was quick and clever enough to maximise the trading game before just about anyone else, we have taken a lot of first round selections over the last 10 years without giving up a whole heap to have those picks BUT he doesn't have a good eye outside the first round, you could argue his cards have been read this year with robey and pickett but since 2020 Johnson X Kentfield ? Adams ? Verrall X Sestan X KyeTurner X Howes X Woewodin X McVee ✅ Rosman X DeakSmith X Turner ✅ was actually pretty good in the period before that but since then he has not only missed but he has also moved away from picking beyond there in the draft in favour of recycling talent and has missed there too

best case for us is sharp and cumming off the board at our pick, i dont like them so would prefer we didnt have the option hahaha it does mean grjl must be the slider which im all for and you cant pair grjl with farrow which means NHH or our man the dove as the second pick

AFL Draft 2025: Phantom Drafts
Reading the PlayFinal 2025 Draft Power Rankings: #1-#50The 2025 draft pool has generated diverse and, at times, polarising commentary. Several media outlets have been quick to brand it a “weaker class” or claim it is “lacking depth.” Much of the discou…

Casey Demons - offseason 2025/6
bergman had lots of major injuries in his time at NM never got a good run at it
-
Kobe McDonald
saints played an irish guy this year Liam O'Connell, and also have Eammon Armstrong on their list the article i read said he was joining mid 2026 after final exams, so its probably a birthday between now and them and this is just an official commitment, cat b rookies can be recruited whenever so he can probably be listed now at lodgement to join in june or whenever st kilda is also referred to s county kilda by expats as the area of melbourne as a huge irish community and presence

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
i prefer draftguru when looking at numbers like this it pairs picks with list spots so it cuts out the [censored] in the 100s
-
Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
as i said the other day i think JT is feeling pretty stitched up at the moment, the two smokies he had in the back pocket have become first round bottlers because of the shallowness of the draft
-
Oskar Taylor
think i prefer him to lindsay but i think his range is probably hawks onwards as we will be shopping in a different bracket dont know where he lands as i see him being a fit at hawks, giants, crows, cats and dogs
-
Lachy Dovaston
can we throw some respect the walpiri wizards way too please

Welcome to Demonland: Latrelle Sumner-Pickett
i think whilst similar enough dove and pickett are very different players, afl teams even our shoddy team of the neeld/bailey era have space for electric forwards. latrelle has a wicked side step and the type of goal sense u cannot teach likewise his balance. he can take a game away from u in 5 minutes with 4 goals and you wouldn't even be surprised, whether the timing for him is right with where our list is at now, think liam ryan and willie rioli as cherry on top mature age selections who got 6ish years out of themselves, or could he be a tippa, stengle, cyril and has that prime at 25-26 but then loses it a bit sooner too weightman went at 6 too, it is quite a similar connundrum to the dove v pickett debate on our hands this year in some ways, although weightman is more a leadup then a genuine small. i think latrelles forward craft genuinely is a step above say a jesse motlop, he has lighter steps and quicker movement than jesse did in his draft highlights i just went back and watched them a month ago robey and pickett were rookie picks and JT was laughing and he had already sold our first round picks so could sell to the members that it was so hence our exit, now not so much, those players are first round locks and we have to make two prominent choices
-
Sullivan Robey
ive convinced myself he goes at 3 to the eagles now 1 duurs 2 uwland bid 3 robey
-
AFL Draft 2025: Picks 7 & 8
u dont think he's too similar to a lindsay or even windsor, i know u cant have too many good kickers or too much dash but is it the right time to be adding that when langdon still has some time left and i suppose does still have a fair monopoly on that wing

we definitely dont look ok for smalls on the basis that only two of those are smalls (pickett and chandler) and only one of those is stationed i50 at a time essentially not to mention laurie is 12 months away having the choice of port melbourne or werribee and viney is 32 with a full 14years of afl and a history of shoulders not to derail the thread or anything but had to be said
