Welcome to Demonland Koltyn Tholstrup
Enjoyed Koltâs game today. And also enjoyed, for those who werenât at the ground to hear it, him proclaiming in an interview with Robbo at the end that heâs âloving the city and the club and wonât ever go anywhereâ.

The Kalani White Thread
Shifter Sheehan has him in contention for next yearâs pick 1 in todayâs Herald Sun. âKalani White is a player who could quickly spike, with the 198cm tall already having shown great signs at both ends of the ground. White is a father-son prospect for Melbourne next year â where his father Jeff played 236 AFL games â but is also a member of the Gold Coast Suns Academy given the family is now living in Queensland.â âA tall defender, White also showed that he can go forward in the under-16 championships last year and excited with his athleticism and outstanding overhead marking. He has a supernatural leap and the size to win the contest or bring the ball to ground to the benefit of his team. During the under-16 championships last year he was rarely beaten one-on-one and averaged 7.3 disposals and 2.3 marks playing predominately deep in defence to win All-Australian honours. He has taken another step at under-18 level with the Suns, looking composed with his ball use and decision making down back and averaging 10 disposals and five marks from his first six matches. He is the son of former No.1 draft pick and Melbourne ruckman Jeff White, making him eligible both as a father-son for the Demons and as an Academy player for the Suns in 2025â.

The Kalani White Thread
Sounds like a much closer race for his services than it was a couple of years ago. Kalani's always been a Melbourne supporter but the lure of staying at home and playing with the mates he's come through the Suns with would be really strong. Good to hear Jeff say the Dees have been fantastic with Kalani and the family though, sounds like we're doing all we can.

Harrison Petty
The "they" in the first tweet is Adelaide.

Harrison Petty
Huh? He's a free agent when his contract expires in 2025. He came out of the 2017 draft.

PREGAME: Rd 07 vs Richmond
Fullarton a key forward type? Heâs kicked 6 goals from 19 games. Iâm struggling to understand the clamour for his inclusion. Heâs never shown anything at AFL level to suggest he should be anything more than a backup. As @binman said, we only need someone to take about 10% of ruck contests. JVR is that man and is also a dangerous forward. Fullarton could also take 10% of ruck contests but is not a dangerous forward.

Jack Lukosius
Perhaps that might be because heâs played most of his career down back đ€š As stated earlier, he was drafted as a forward and is looking to settle as a forward.
-
Jack Lukosius
Hopefully not Cranky, but as an ex-pick 2 whoâs not only available but would fill a gaping positional need for us, itâs probably worthy of a discussion?
-
Jack Lukosius
Lot of talk about Lukosius now being available, as discussed by Sam Edmund on SEN this morning with Walter and Ben King seemingly Hardwickâs preferred KPF duo. He also added that Lukosius is getting fed up with being moved around the park as much as he has been and would like to settle as a KPF. Adelaide boy but apparently not wedded to returning home. He hasnât lived up to his potential thus far, and has a bit of the Jack Wattsâ about him in being beautifully skilled but perhaps not relishing the physical side of the game. But I reckon we could do a lot worse than getting him in to play that roaming role while JVR (and hopefully Petty) develop as more your stay at home types, especially if heâs available for a pick later than 20 or so. Thoughts?

The Hugh McCluggage Thread
Odd post. He finished 3rd in their BnF last year, and has finished top 3 for the last five years straight. Not sure you can get much more consistent than that.

Um
Fair enough mate and can see your point of view with all those points. Certainly wasnât meant to be an attack on anyone and hope it wasnât taken that way. Iâm a lover not a fighter!
-
Um
Just say âthanks for your reviews and feedbackâ! Imagine if for instance the Fox footy podcast or the deebrief spent half their shows detailing every positive review they received rather than talking about actual footy, how bored youâd get of them. For me, I listen to a podcast cos Iâm interested in the subject matter and Iâd assume that would be the same for most people? Not sure Iâm saying anything earth shattering. And if you disagree thatâs fine too, Iâm not trying to have a blue with anyone!
-
Um
Oh absolutely - by all means include the questions, theyâre often great. But if itâs just someone going âHi Andy, love the podcast, I reckon binman is the best thing since sliced bread and my favourite ever player was Rod Grinter. Go Dees etc etcâ, that sort of stuff to me is a waste of time and I wonder what the benefit is. Thatâs just a review and feedback for you as a host, not sure why anybody else would be interested. But itâs your podcast, and your prerogative to run it as you please!
