Farewell Judd McVee
I can't see a single example of anyone sniping at @Ghostwriter on this thread though. Sniping and discussing are two completely different things!

Farewell Judd McVee
I'm staggered that anybody could possibly argue with this. @Ghostwriteryour insight is appreciated. But chats like this should of course be taken with a grain of salt. If he is thinking of leaving (not saying he is!) of course he's not going to tell supporters that!

Farewell Judd McVee
Her bio on the MFC website says she's from Tasmania, but moved to South Australia post-school to pursue her footy. After playing locally she got drafted by Port Adelaide. She then only moved to Melbourne earlier this year when she got traded to us.

Farewell Judd McVee
Cal Twomey said on a recent Gettable podcast that West Coast were coming hard for McVee with big $ being thrown around. You'd hope he stays loyal seeing as we picked him up in the rookie draft when there wasn't much interest from elsewhere, and the fact he's become good mates with a number of the other young players at the club. Plus he's from Geraldton, a 4 and a half drive from Perth.

Petty Training Down Back?
McDonald has said a number of times in interviews that because of the state of his ankles, he no longer has the mobility required to play as a forward. Those days are over.

Can someone please tell me how you put someone on mute?

Every player in the competition can improve, it's a pretty vacuous observation. But expecting Clarry to become something he's not, and taking away from his strengths by trying to do so, is brainless.

I'm sorry, saying Oliver is an average decision maker is absolutely insane.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 2nd December 2024
Of course it has everything to do with roles. For someone who constantly derides others for lacking football knowledge when they don't agree with you, you really do come out with some idiotic things. Oliver's main strength is a first possession player, where there have been few better in the modern era. He's managed to add an outside element and a burst away from stoppages to his game which has seen him win 4xBnF, 3xAA and 2xAFLCA awards by the age of 25. Because of the state of his shoulders, there's little point in him resting forward as he can't take a contested mark. He'd purely be a threat on the ground. Why would you take away from his strengths and magnify his weaknesses by playing him in a position he's not suited to? Petracca is obviously a completely different player, for reasons everyone knows and surely I don't need to get into. It absolutely stands to reason that he kicks a lot more goals than Clarry due to the difference in roles they play. Both have been equally important to our success.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Monday 2nd December 2024
Clarry or Viney?- Players who need a big year
Petracca will turn 30 before the 2026 season starts. The days of getting a huge bounty for him if he leaves are sadly over.- PRESEASON TRAINING & COMMUNITY CAMP

- Draft Behind The Scenes - First 15 Hours as a Draftee
Also enjoyed it. The stuff around the draft is about the most interesting stuff a club can put out I reckon. Loved after the 2019 draft when the club put out the behind the scenes video of conversations and deliberations the footy department had had before drafting Jackson, Pickett and Rivers, and also on the two draft nights, and wish they'd do it every year.- Melbourne Football Club - The CEO

- 2024 Phantom Drafts
Langford and Tauru would be a dream result.- 2024 Phantom Drafts
As much as I’d be thrilled with that, he clearly doesn’t know his stuff if that’s what he’s got happening!- 2024 Phantom Drafts
Every expert has said we’re not keen on Draper, and Smith is likely to be gone.- 2024 Phantom Drafts
By all reports FOS is the one out of all of them with the lowest floor but the highest ceiling. The same type of player as these two - could be Col Sylvia and have all the tools but never quite kick on…or could be Dangerfield. Not as foolproof as Smith or Draper who have much higher floors but if you back our development team in then there’s a hell of a lot to work with and he could end up being the best of the lot of them.- 2024 Phantom Drafts
As much as Tauru has huge potential it's going to take a fair bit of time for him to realise it. Think I'd feel a bit flat if we ended up with him at 5 rather than the premium mid I'd been thinking we'd take. Getting him at 9 would be a different story, would be stoked with that.- 2024 Phantom Drafts
FROM THE HERALD SUN Adelaide may be forced to give up a future second-round pick to move two spots up this year’s draft order as part of a bold play for Victorian midfielder Jagga Smith. The Crows currently hold pick 4 in next Wednesday’s national draft but have held discussions with North Melbourne about the possibility of trading up to pick 2. It is believed that the player in Adelaide’s sights is Smith, a prolific ball-winning midfielder who captained Vic Metro at the under-18 national championships. Rival clubs believe the Crows are fearful that Carlton would select Smith at pick 3 if Adelaide remains at pick 4. Smith has been arguably the best-performed underage footballer in the country this year, with recruiters describing him as a “bankable” high-end prospect and future AFL captain. The 18-year-old would add a different dynamic to the Crows’ midfield with his speed and agility. He averaged 33.3 disposals, 7.9 clearances and 154 ranking points from 12 games for the Oakleigh Chargers in the Coates Talent League this year. It is understood that Adelaide recently offered North Melbourne pick 4 and two future third-round selections in exchange for pick 2, but the offer was knocked back. The Kangaroos are believed to be eyeing pick 4 and a future second-round selection to get the deal done. The pre-draft pick swap window closed last Friday, but clubs are still able to make live trades during the draft. Richmond is still expected to take midfielder-forward Sam Lalor with the No.1 pick. North Melbourne has been linked to midfielder Finn O’Sullivan in recent days if it holds on to pick 2, despite long being favoured to select exciting 193cm utility Alix Tauru. If Adelaide was to beat Carlton to Smith, the Blues could nab South Australian Sid Draper. Carlton coach Michael Voss and list manager Nick Austin flew to Adelaide in the past week to meet with the explosive midfielder. If North Melbourne was to overlook Tauru at pick 2, he would not be expected to get past Melbourne at pick 5 given the Demons are big fans of the Gippsland Power high-flyer. Richmond looks almost certain to select big-bodied midfielder Josh Smillie with pick 6, while Brisbane Lions father-son prospect Levi Ashcroft is also expected to receive a bid within the first six picks.- PRESEASON TRAINING: Friday 15th November 2024
